Beauty Review: St. Ives Intensive Healing Body Lotion & Blemish Control Face Wash

I can remember when I first started having to wash my face with a blemish/acne control wash. Being a teenager and taking a trip with your mom to the store for acne wash is confusing. There are SO many different kinds, scents, colors, ingredients in each one.

I didn’t know where to start. I was IN THE CLOUDS. I would pick up a bottle, examine the package and “description.” I didn’t know what was what at that age other than the packages were pretty.

BUT wait, stop for a second. There was one that caught my eye. St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub (ONLY $3.99). It wasn’t drenched in “here looky looky” type of bottle. It’s simple yet elegant and of course BLACKHEAD and ACNE scrub all in one? Yes!

I was very excited to be able to work with St. Ives. I ended up receiving two items: St. Ives Blemish and Acne Control wash and the Intensive Healing Lotion.

The Face Wash Review

This is definitely the best scrub on earth. It says you can use it 4 times a week, but I use it more. I have oily skin, so I need something to keep the oil from seeping deep into my pores and becoming blemishes and blackheads.

 

My pores stay smaller, blackhead free, oil/ shine free, and SO SMOOTH. I love that it makes me feel so fresh faced. The scent really does smell like apricots>>YUM! The scent lingers awhile too.

It thoroughly cleanses the skin and exfoliates the dead skin away so you’re left with nothing but a perfectly flawless complexion just after a week (or so depending on how bad your blemishes are).

I love exfoliating my skin but most exfoliation is harsh and leaves redness and irritation behind. The St. Ives Apricot Scrub exfoliates with Walnuts. My Review

Tanning at the salon brings very bronzed, brilliant color but it can also dry out the skin. I’ve recently gotten very dry, itchy, “ashy” skin when my skin isn’t properly hydrated.

“ANY” lotion just doesn’t do the trick. Some are too thick and don’t soak in very well. Some are too thin and watery and don’t hydrate for very long. I wanted something that could give me the hydration I needed without any fuss.

St. Ives has always been a favorite of mine. They have great products that are very affordable. When I use this lotion I know I am getting nothing but the best!

I’ve taken some out of the bottle and put in a travel bottle and take it with me to the tanning bed. I love rubbing this on my skin and feet after I tan. It doesn’t add to the “scent” that tanning lotion smells like after you’ve tanned. It feels invigorating and is so refreshing to my dry skin!

It feels so silky, creamy, and luxurious. I love that there is absolutely no greasy residue or build-up. I have been faithfully massaging this into every single part of my body when I wake up, after tanning, and before bed.. I can’t help but love the lovely creaminess.

Every summer I have issues with my skin drying out after a day in the pool with the kids. The chemicals and chlorine dry it out, and I can’t wait to see how this helps! I know I won’t be battling the dryness for long!!

Beauty Review: Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub

I have been addicted to the Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub since the first time I used it. It’s a natural face scrub that has ingredients from the “sea”. It works like a charm every time.

Yes, it looks like baby poop, or sea slime—but it feels SO amazing on my skin. I’ve been dealing with extra oily skin since beginning tanning as much as I could in January. I can “FEEL” the oil just seeping from my face.

Exfoliating Face & Body Scrub

To me there is NOTHING better than an exfoliating face AND body scrub. I’ve rarely seen them together, but this works very well. My body skin can become dull and dry looking in the colder, winter months.

Rejuvenating Facial Peel

This has made my skin do a complete 180, a complete transformation in sync with the other L’bri products. This is one of the absolute indispensible items  within the line. If I didn’t have the money to buy the others, I would still try and swing it to where I would never run out of this.
It is just so astonishing to see all those dead skin cells just slide off like it’s a mud pie. It’s amazing because it isn’t harsh on the skin. Doesn’t leave it red, irritated, or hurting. Just feels like you’ve used a regular cleanser that had something really really good in it-The superpower of cleaners. 
This is more like a gel then anything, so it goes on very well. It has an instant cooling effect and only needs to be left on for a minute. I really liked that it was a time saver. Usually with face peels they have to be on for 3-5 minutes. I like using peels before I get in the shower—so I’d have to find something to occupy my time while waiting before.
Now it isn’t a problem. I can just rub it on and rub some small circular motions (all over the face) twice a week. I usually use this with my Toilettree professional skin care system—(it has rotating scrub brushes that clean the face). I just put the peel on and then continue to do the circular motion with the electronic face brush.

Firmer, lighter, smoother skin? YES please. As this hardens my face begins to feel like I am made of wax.

Smooth & Firm Eye Repair Gel

I’m still young, so I don’t have crow’s feet or anything like that. As a beauty maven, I KNOW that if I use something BEFORE it happens that it may NOT happen, right?

I love putting this on. It’s a bright green, gel like cream that soothes on impact. It’s instantly firming and begins to tighten as it dries, which I like.
This little one ounce jar could also last me for a very long time. I only have to use a very small amount for both eyes. I notice that if I DO get more than needed, it still seeps in very well.

Made From Earth never lets me down. Out of all the products that I’ve had the privilege of testing, not ONE has made me cringe. They are made from natural, TRUE organic ingredients that will never harm you or your body!

Nutra-Lift Skin & Hair Care Review

I had the chance to test three Nutra-lift products; the Night Repair Skin Renewal, the Nonsoap Herbal Cleanser, and the Simply Superb shampoo
These products show results without having to spend an arm and a leg on them, and they are mostly organic, rarely using chemicals inside.
I have been using these products daily for 4-5 weeks, and the results were showing within the first week.
Night Repair Cell Renewal

I really enjoyed using this night repair cream. One pump from this dispenser was all I needed to get my entire face and neck before going to bed. The product is a cream-colored tint, and isn’t sticky in the least little bit.
My skin soaks this up without any residue left behind. My skin does have a pink reaction after using this, but it being a cellular renewal serum, the pinkness should be expected because it’s cleaning and clearing the old cells off your face.
Nutra Lift Night Repair “creates newer fresher skin and in quicker time than chemical peels”. My face felt rejuvenated and clean, smelled wonderful, and my skin was brighter as well as smooth!
“Fresh...Fast. A neutral PH, non-irritating, better exfoliating treatment with amino acid L-Carnitine that energizes the skin.” It did show results very quickly which amazed me. This is an amazing night cream that never leaves any sticky residue on your pillows.

Simply Superb Shampoo

This is an amazing shampoo. Not only does it cleanse extrememly well, but it feels like there is conditioner built in with this. It smells amazing, and did wonders for my hair. It’s absolutely chemical and sulfate free- so I even used this on my kids.
Adisyn’s hair is thin, but somehow she ends up with tons of tangles in her hair. This leads to her crying and screaming that it hurts when her hair is brushed. I either had to end up using conditioner on her hair or using a detangler every time and she is only 3.
It is made with Goat milk and infused  with luxurious pure silk. This is what gives off the moisture to the hair follicles- so that hair is naturally silky to the feel, manages tangles, and takes away the frizzy part of hair.
This shampoo is also amazing for the scalp as well. With it being natural and organic with a blend of herbs- it moisturizes the scalp without leaving behind any unwanted residue- which is what causes the scalp to become unhealthy and start to flake.
When using this shampoo- I didn’t have to use conditioner or detangler on her hair, and I didn’t get any protests from her when brushing her hair. Her hair smelled great, was extremely shiny, and of course tons more manageable.
