GoodKarms App Review [NEW!] #TechReview

From Instagram to Snapchat, social media has become a platform frequently used to impress our peers by showcasing the best aspects of our lives, while hiding away our struggles. As such, it’s no secret that extensive social media use can result in some negative side effects when it comes to mental health. But what if I told you that there was a new social media platform dedicated to giving thanks, and helping those in need? Say hello to GoodKarms.

GoodKarms has four primary features: the ability to share posts about your gratitude and thankfulness, to ask for positive words and energy during rough patches, and to offer or request help with tasks such as grocery shopping, moving, car rides and everything in between. These services are all, of course, free of charge — the only currency GoodKarms accepts is good karma.

GoodKarms is a community of individuals who create a positive energy.

GoodKarms is a community of individuals who create a positive energy by performing selfless activities and encouraging others in a progressive manner!

Positivity: feeling a little off, or your energy not where it is you want it to be? Ask the GoodKarms community to send you positive vibes.

Gratitude log: lets you broadcast all the things you’re grateful for. It’s a great way to get inspired and to extend your gratitude to the Universe.

Offer Help: looking to help individuals by offering your skill set to others? GoodKarms makes it simple by allowing you to post how you can be of service.

Seek Help: Can't find the help you need? Create a "Seek Help" request so others can help you out.

Mighty Smighties App Review

mighty

Are your kids looking for a fun new game to play? One that is slightly different from others that are out today? The Mighty Smighties app is an interactive card game designed for kids. They can play single player, challenge their friends, or play against other players around the world. Mighty Smighties is compatible with iPhone 4 and up, iPad, and iPod touch devices running iOS 6.0 or later.

Before you can begin collecting cards and playing against other players, you customize your own Smighty. There are tons of cool accessories and cute little characters that you can be. My kids had fun dressing up their characters and naming them.

The idea of the game is to collect the cards which feature super cute characters. The cards are played against each other, with you hoping that your card’s number or element can beat your opponents card. Defeat your opponent three times and you win the “match.” The elements are really what matters, not the numbers associated with the cards.

Playing in the quest mode you change between three stages; normal, power, and epic. This is how you unlock new areas and get further in the game. These stages throw a little randomness into the mix, allowing you to boost your cards powers temporarily.

mighty5
In each mode, players have a 30 second time limit to select the card from their deck they choose to play. This keeps the matches moving along pretty quickly and adds some excitement and fun to the game.

Important Considerations
Some game play requires a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. The Mighty Smighties game is free to download and play. This app includes the option for adults to purchase in game items with real money to enhance game play, ranging from $0.99 to $34.99 USD (or equivalent amount in the applicable regional currency). You may disable in-app purchases by adjusting your device settings. iOS will keep you logged on for 15 minutes after an initial in-app purchase. Additional purchases won’t require a re-entry of your password during this 15-minute interval. This is a function of the iOS software and not within our control.

The game is free to download for your PC, IPod, Iphone, and Ipad. Get it here

Once you download and let your kids play, let me know what they think. My kids loved the bright colors and cute characters!

Earbits Review {Google Chrome App}

Discover new music you’ve never heard before with Earbits. The log-in process is very easy, allowing you to sign in with Facebook.
You can click on a “genre” of music and then it finds music for you. Sort of like Pandora but with new bands who aren’t “big.”
I clicked on the “Rock” button, and was automatically astonished with the song it gave me. I’d never heard of the song before or the singer. I really liked it. The name of the song is “Been a Pleasure” by Gaby Moreno. It gives you something new to listen to when your tired of listening to the same old stuff.
You can send songs to your Facebook friends, share on your Facebook wall, or tweet about the songs you like all on the Earbits page. These aren’t songs that are played on the radio.
If you like the song you can click on the thumbs up icon and it will be saved to your “liked” songs, so that you can revisit them at any time. If you don’t like it, simply click on the thumbs down button and the song automatically changes to a different song. There is no limit to how many times you can skip songs.
The transition from song to song is very quick, so your not waiting forever. The app is easy to use, and the design is simple so it doesn’t look overcrowded.
The channels are so distinctly organized that you aren’t searching for a certain genre for a long amount of time.
