marketing minute | how much of yourself should you put out there? - Shrimp Salad Circus

I just thought that she had very awesome and interesting things to say about how much of yourself to put out there and technically she’s right (especially about the personal thing) If you are using your blog for anything other than for your family updates, customers or viewers are not going to want to know about a fight b/t you and whomever… or something like crying and all that. You don’t want to end up regretting what you say…

Click her link and read all about it…Shrimp Salad Circus

This is the intro to her blog post marketing minute | how much of yourself should you put out there?

“I was watching an episode of House (episode: Private Lives) the other night, and it got me thinking. The episode is about a blogger who basically has boundary issues and puts her and her husband's personal lives on the web for all the world to contemplate and criticize. The show begs the question, "When is enough enough?"

I really want to know what you guys think about this, but of course you get to hear my overblown opinion on the topic in the meantime! It's important to consider what information you give out because in the technology age that we live in, once it's out, it's out.” Shrimp Salad Circus

2 Tutorials..Fabric Flower & Glasses Case

I have been addicted to tutorials forever. I subscribe to like 1000 craft blogs. Inspiration comes from everywhere and I love to see what other people make. I have always heard the expression "If you want to know something, there is nobody better to ask, then someone who has mastered it". Looking at these tutorials and the wonderful and creative things that people come up with, How could that NOT inspire you?

The first tutorial is from Hey Jen Renee! with her awesome Fabric Flower tutorial.

The second tutorial is from the awesome Betz White, which has written Sewing Green, Warm Fuzzies, & Felt so Good
All these books are awesome, just as she is. She is amazing and inspiring. Here is the tutorial...

Caterpillar Eyeglass Case Tutorial

I love her blog because she is always coming up with something innovative and green. She is all about green sewing (as you can tell- She wrote a book about it). If your a crafter, this is a blog you definately need to follow....

Sewing on a button by machine

The only way I have ever known how to sew a button is by hand. I recently purchased my new sewing machine. With the sewing machine came a button hole foot. The thing is...I am scared to use it. It is because I didn't know how. But thanks to the amazing gifts of YouTube I looked it up...
Here is the most simple I could fine and now I am gonna give it a whirl...

If you didn't know how to sew on a button, what did you learn from this video? Will you continue to hand sew? Or machine sew? I think I'm gonna go with machine....

How to turn old t-shirts into yarn.

Want to knit or crochet or knit and ran out of yarn? This tutorial shows you how to turn t-shirts into yarn. Any color, any style...

I put some links to yarn and a yarn ball winder. If you don't want to try the handmade yarn thing than buy some from Lion Brand (which have free patterns on their website).
The yarn ball winder is for if you decide you want to do the homemade yarn and don't want to hand-spin it.

Have fun =)

Awesome Baking Blog "I Am Baker"

I just ran across the cutest baking blog called: i am baker. I ran across it and I thought to myself (she is so talented). She had just posted about baby shower cookies, and they look just like the fisher-price rainforest animals for anyone who is interested in that. My best friend did her son's room in it, and it would have been awesome to bake this for his 1st birthday, but that has already come & gone (she did dinosaurs instead)...
but this would have been a really good idea...
thanks I am Baker
