Review: MadeFromEarth Lip Balms; Vanilla, Blueberry, Citrus Fresh, & Spearmint

As a lip balm girl, I was extremely excited to be able to test out 4 AMAZING lip balms from one of my favorite companies MadeFromEarth. Of course, the name hits the company right on the head- Made Organically. No chemicals, no preservatives, and nothing to be ashamed about putting on your lips.

Most chap sticks and lip balms contain petroleum products and contain harsh chemicals. If you have kids or lick your lips a lot- you need to think about what will happen if it’s ingested into your body. Made From Earth is a company that is dedicated to providing “organic, holistic, and healthy” so I always feel safe letting my little girl use my lip balms from them!

Made From Earth offers 5 varieties of lip balms: Blueberry, Citrus Fresh, Mocha, Spearmint and the one I had the pleasure of trying Vanilla. The only one I haven’t had the pleasure of trying is the mocha.

All of these lip balms are extremely moisturizing, splashing my lips with  the always amazing vitamin E. Vitamin E is amazing in a lip balm because it protects the skin against UV rays, provides relief to chapped and dry skin, and is helpful because it contains antioxidants which help keep skin looking as aged.

Each of these lip balms are impressive in their own way. They are all cruelty free , suitable for all skin types, and rich in antioxidants. They never have any chemicals in them, so they are free from artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Nothing but nicely blended together organic products that are even safe for kids.!  I love that each one has the symbol of what’s in it ON the outside of the tube, so when I have them all together in my purse- I can easily reach for the one I want to use at the time!

Vanilla Lip Balm with Vitamin E

Warm. Calm. Relaxing. Organic ingredients with vanilla designed to soothe and calm your lips. For all vanilla lovers, welcome home.

My Thoughts*

This is the most relaxing out of the four lip balms. The sweet hint of vanilla makes me think of a nice fall day with vanilla cookies baking in the oven. It’s very warm, calming, and soothing to the senses.

I love putting a dab of this overtop of a subdued brown or maybe light pink lipstick. The hint of vanilla overtop of my lipstick keeps the makeup smell away and keeps my lips even more hydrated. It keeps the lipstick from drying out or becoming clumpy.

Blueberry Lip Balm

Antioxidant rich blueberry lip balm for all berry lovers. Rich and healthy. Blueberry lip balm is designed to heal lips while providing a juicy blueberry flavor.

My Thoughts*

Out of all fruits, blueberry tasting ANYTHING has me won over hands down. I love the smell and sweet taste of blueberries. It’s just so yummy. It keeps my lips moisturized for about 2-3 hours before I have to put it back on.

Soft, healthy, beautiful lips with an amazing smell and taste. I’ve never had the experience of using a lip balm that had anything to do with blueberries before MadeFromEarth. They are some VERY smart people, always thinking of not only the customers health, but what they will LIKE. I definitely love the thought of having an organic lip balm that is good for me AND smells amazing.

About our Ingredients:

Blueberry extract which is a mix of blue purple and black in color is one of the richest sources of antioxidants. They are full of phytonutrients which gives them their deep color. Known for repairing damaged tissue by stabilizing the collagen matrix and promoting biosynthesis.

 

 

Citrus Fresh Lip Balm

Citrus Fresh tastes like a delicious mix of lemons, limes and fresh squeezed oranges.

This organic and chemical free lip balm contains vitamin-rich sunflower seed oil and protecting beeswax to avoid a chapped lip texture to aid the production of collagen in the lips, with the sweet taste of oranges.

 

My Thoughts*

Yummy tasting and smelling. This is like a mixture between oranges, lemons, and limes, all tasting freshly squeezed. I love eating fruit, any and all kind- so when I smelled this I was in fruit heaven. The citrus fruits in this give it a high volume of detoxifying properties.

Because of the sunflower seed oil, Vitamin E, and Besswax my lips always stay moisturized and protected from becoming dry and chapped which can cause cracking and pain.

Citrus fruits has been proven to have detoxification properties due to the high concentration of vitamin C. In topical form, they can help to alleviate skin problems, and when used on a regular basis, protect the skin from sun damage and aging.

Spearmint Lip Balm

Ancient Greeks used spearmint to scent their bathwater, and in the medieval times it was used for oral hygiene. Today, we can use spearmint (topical) in the form of lip balm to provide an antiseptic, stimulant and restorative. This spearmint lip balm has a fresh minty flavor which was extracted from the spearmint trees in Oregon, USA.

My Thoughts*

When I bring this to my lips, I think about chewing doublemint gum. That’s exactly what this smells AND tastes like. There isn’t anything overpowering about this amazing lip balm. It’s minty, sweet, and works amazing in curing chapped, dry lips. I even had a cold sore and this helped cure it, when I continually used it.

Football season is here. I know this all too well, because every single night- it’s on our TV. My husband is a huge football fan. Whether it’s NFL, College, or even High School- he loves watching.

Although I don’t stay TUNED in- jumping up and down, shouting at the TV, I watch quietly from my side of the room. I glance up occasionally while either working or helping Aidan with his homework.

ME? I would rather watch College Football. It’s more interesting to me. I think that the players are playing for their teams, their colleges, and their chance. In NFL- I feel it’s a bit different. <$$$>

So, when I got a chance to review something from Meesh & Mia, you knew I had to choose something from the Kentucky Wildcats! I’m a Kentucky girl Born and Raised and Blue & White are in my blood.

I had tons of fun looking through all the trendy, uniquely made clothes that are all based on school colors! You can click what team you’re rooting for, and choose nothing but colors from that team!

There are WAY more items to choose from then just these, I just wanted to give you a little sample of the amazing website and the choices it offers. I loved that I could just search through my teams colors.

It would have been different if I would have had to choose from each college’s colors. This way is WAY more simpler, easier to see the items they offer and what I really want. This way eliminates what you AREN’T wanting to look through.

I got a cute little workout outfit that looks and feels amazing! It consists of University of Kentucky Animal Striped Tee in Royal & Ankle Length Leggings in Royal.

The shirt is made with 100% Rayon and is made in the United States. It has an AWESOME animal print in Dark Blue & White. Nothing says it's game time like an animal print! It has the Wildcats logo in a glittered writing right in the middle of the shirt *silver letters*. It can be washed in the Washing Machine on Cold/Gentle and hung up to dry.

The shirt feels amazing on my skin. It’s a light fabric that shows the figure off. It doesn’t cling, but yet free falls and slides its way down my body! It fit extremely well. I was VERY impressed with this shirt. I am definitely going to be getting some for my cousins for Christmas.

I got a small because I am small framed. They have sizing options from XX-small to XX-Large. So no matter what size your frame is, they have the size for YOU to sport your team spirit TOO! ALL of their clothing is officially licensed.

These fit like yoga pants. They are clingy, form-fitting, and feel absolutely amazing. These had me working out just to be looking awesome in these pants. They move around with me- no matter HOW or WHAT way I was moving!

They are 97% rayon & 3% spandex, and as with all Meesh & Mia clothes- they are made in the United States. The best thing about these ankle length leggings is that they can also be worn with higher boots to blend with a variety of items to change up the look of the team spirit.

These can also be machine washed in cold water and hung to dry ( I even put these in the dryer on accident and they NEVER shrank) Not even a little!

I love that they aren’t just offering the regular “JOE” Sporting attire that you see everybody else wearing. These are all uniquely made clothing items that have your team colors on them. This isn’t something that you’re going to be seeing “EVERYONE” wearing!

Review: GlowBaby Weekly Grid Calendar & $30 Gift Card Giveaway

I was given the chance to review an item from GlowBaby. I was excited, because they have tons of items to keep parents sane and organized.
I ended up choosing the Weekly Grid Calendar because I needed something to keep track of not only MY schedule but my families schedule as well.

This calendar has enough spots for 6 family members. I love that each line is a separate color, so that when I write the schedules out- I don’t accidentally write it on the wrong spot.

It is an 8 1/2 landscape pad and comes with 30 sheets. so if you don’t rip any unnecessary pages out, you’ll have a page for each week for 5 months. It’s a VERY awesome deal, because the pack is only $12.00.
Because I only need to write down my son’s homework schedule and mine- I have 5 spots to keep track of what I get in the mail and what review’s I’ve written that day. You don’t know how much this has helped me make sure everything gets done.
It has a chore list on the very right of the page- so if your children have chores- you can write it beside their weekly schedule. It has tiny boxes inside the chore list so that they can check off their chore as they get it done.
Not only would this help kids learn to be organized, but it will help them learn responsibility in the long run. It has a magnetic strip on the back so that it can be placed on the refrigerator or on a metal bulletin board.
This doesn’t just have to be for parents- this can also be beneficial to keep track of work and school projects and such. It’s already been very helpful in my household and I’ve had it less than a month. I’d love to see us at the end of the pack!
It reminds me which letter and number my son and I stopped at with his homework each night. So it’s really helping him with school, because I can go to the refrigerator and SEE that I need to help him, so I go ahead and get it done. It helps me to remember what needs to be done!

Review: Malie Clothing- Hanalei Skirt Dress & Poipu Dress

The organic cotton and bamboo really make a difference in these clothing items. I’ve never had a fabric just glide over my body in the same way that these do. These items just made me feel so sexy yet sophisticated at the same time.

When I picked these up out of the box- they just seemed to whisper to me ( put me on) So of course- I had to listen! I’m pretty sure if someone walked in they would have been alarmed. A grown woman dancing like a 4 year old in her mommies clothes.. I was THAT ecstatic.

The fabric just seems to flow over my body creating a piece of art! They are SO soft, comfortable, and cozy. I love the way that the dress/shirt is relaxed and flowing at the bottom, yet form fitting at the top. It’s every woman’s dream to wear something so beautiful, pleasant, and sexy.

I am now infatuated with all the clothing that they make. I just know that they are going to be top of the line and feel like a second skin to my body. They let my skin breathe, all while being form fitting.

They are so appealing to such a wide variety of women because of how these fabrics are designed into the clothing to be so seductive yet graceful, lovely and pleasing, and awe-inspiring & mind blowing.

I love how the blues and teals are so blended so well. It’s so beautiful, and wrinkle free as well. The designer clearly has excellent taste in astounding clothing that will drop jaws every time!

No other dress that is in my closet could even compare to my love for the Malie clothing. The dresses are just phenomenal and striking. These are the kind of dresses that are forgotten. These BURN themselves into your mind!

I wish my collarbones didn’t show up so prominent in pictures like this!

The best part about this dress is that it transforms from a strapless dress into a full skirt. So whether you’re going to dinner with your best friend, or hitting the beach with your kids- this is the PERFECT dress/skirt!

I absolutely love the fact that this dress/skirt can be worn with heels, flip flops, boots, or sandals and no matter what’s worn with it- it still looks extra fabulous!

The second dress I was sent was the Poipu Dress. This dress can also be transformed. It can be worn as a shorter style dress, or paired with leggings. I have done both, and I love the dress.

Because we have reached fall here in Kentucky, I have been pairing it up with leggings and a pair of black boots. I love this look, just so FALL. I love the way that the sleeves are made, they are made with the cascading sleeves. I love this because it gives off such a remarkably unique look that is becoming such a fast trend.

This just oozes allure. The best benefit of all is that they don’t have to be dry cleaned. They can be washed and dried along with your other clothing! That makes me extremely happy!

It fits loosely yet compliments my body shape, which is astonishing because I’ve never had a loose fitting ANYTHING compliment my petite body frame. I would always look like I was wearing something 3x too big for me! So I am in love once again!

This can be paired with so many different accessories and get so many different types of looks. No matter what it’s paired with though, it always comes out looking brilliant and stylish in the end!
