Review: Zebra Pens Daisies Z-Grip

Have you seen the vast selection of amazing pens that Zebra Pens has? As an office supply junkie- I was in LOVE just browsing around the site. They have a pen no matter what type/style/color you love.

I ended up getting the Z-Grip Daisies Ballpoint pens. The pens came in a pack of 5 as you can see in the picture above. The MOST exciting part of the pens is that they write in the color of the PEN!

I hate when I’m shopping for pens and see all these beautifully colored pens, just to realize they all write black! I want color, color, color! Color helps me to categorize my thoughts. When I write- I want to be able to organize everything so that it makes sense to me later.

These pends definitely helped me to stay organized because of the bright colors. I don’t have to read an entire page before finding what I need deep down on the page, when I could have eliminated having to read every page by color coding it.

I love that these pens are retractable, makes it easier and quicker to get to writing! I love that the pen is so pretty too. It has daisy designs that extend all the way down the barrel to the grip.

The grip is thick and comfortable, making it easy for my hands to grip the pen with the perfect precision that I need to write for long periods of time. I’m not a thin pen kind of girl. If I write with a thin pen for long periods of time, my hand cramps like there’s no tomorrow.

This gripper is larger, making it easier for my fingers to clasp around it for longer periods of time without cramping up. They have a clip on the side- which makes it easier to clip on a notebook or pocket. I clip mind on the inside of my binder..

These would make the PERFECT stocking stuffers!

I had absolutely no clue that most sunglasses that are bought for kids have NO protection from the sun at ALL. They are basically just TOYS for them to play with, and the UVA and UVB rays still get through to their eyes.

Have you ever heard the saying that “You can tell when a mom is cold because her child will be wearing a sweater.” This should definitely pertain to sunglasses as well. If YOU are wearing sunglasses to shield your eyes from the sun, then your child should be as well.

They’re CPSIA compliant, CE certified, FDA approved and contain no lead, bisphenol A or phthalates. They have glass for babies on up to 12 years old. I had a ton of fun looking through the website at all the different shades they have.

Eye lenses can NOT be repaired, so after the damage is done- it’s irreversible.  Although fall is here, you shouldn’t think that because the sunlight isn’t as bright that it still can’t damage.

As I drive my son to school in the morning- I am more blinded by the sunlight beaming off the dew and frost on my windshield than I was in the summer months! So, it’s important to wear sunglasses all year round.

Adisyn ended up getting the Flex Sunglasses in lime for 3-7 years. I’ve bought her so many different sunglasses and yet they never stayed on and ended up getting lost. These are perfect because they come with the strap that goes around her head to keep the sunglasses firmly on her face without them slipping off. The shades are flexible and bend with the kids faces so that they aren’t easily broken or snapped into pieces. Adisyn was also sent a pair of Xtreme Sport Shades in a deep blue color. I love that the insides of the glasses are padded around the face part. This keeps the glasses from fogging up from sweat and making it impossible for them to see. The padded part also makes it more comfortable for them to wear for longer periods of time.

These glasses come in 8 different colors. Black/pink, Black/Purple, Black/Red, Black/Silver, dark blue, lavender, and light blue. I think it’s essential for kids to get a color they like so they are more likely to want to wear them more!

You wouldn’t send your kids outside to play without clothes on, so why would you send them outside without sunglasses? They are just as essential! Real Kids Shades not only have sunglasses that actually help protect but they are cute as well.

They have anti-fog vents that keeps sweat from fogging up the lenses and preventing them from seeing AND They look awesome! They are available for kids 3-12 to keep their eyes safe when they are playing sports.

My kids loved their new glasses. I loved that they had a wrap-around headband that you can attach to the earpieces of the glasses so that they stay on while the kids are playing.

I carry these around in my purse so that I know they are always protected from the sun. These protect 100% from both UVA and UVB rays, so that your kids eyesight stays healthy!

If I wasn’t so sure that the sunglasses wouldn’t come home, I’d send them to school with Aidan. But we’ve already had issues with his stuff not coming home and not being able to be found EVER. So, I’ll just keep them at home and let the kids wear them when they go outside to play or we go somewhere.

My son obviously thinks he is a rock star in his glasses and my daughter is the diva in the family. My stepson said that Adisyn “Looked famous” LOL. I know they are adorable and my kids love to wear them!

These  glasses are fashionable, fun, and comfortable for my kids. I love that there are many many different choices of style and color. This makes it easier for me to get my kids to wear them. What I love most is the wrap around headband that attaches to the ear pieces.  They are easy to attach, yet don’t just slip out when the kids are wearing them!

Review: MadeFromEarth Organic Soaps- Blood Orange & Lemongrass Tea

 

MadeFromEarth is one of my favorite companies on earth! They made nothing but oragnic, natural beauty and bath products. I was sent two natural soaps this time around, and I love both of them!

The two soaps they sent were the Blood Orange Soap and the Lemongrass  Tea Soap. They both have such amazing smells and beautiful vibrant coloring. They come packaged in their own little cardboard boxes with the name of the soap on t he side. That way if you order more than one and want to save some back- you can open the one you want (without damaging the others’ box).

These soaps are free from chemicals or any other harshness that can dry out your skin. Before meeting these amazing soaps, I wouldn’t use soap in the shower. I hate when my skin feels itchy due to dry skin. These soaps actually moisturize and nourish my skin!

 

Blood Orange Soap

The first one I ended up pulling out and using was the Blood Orange Soap. The Blood Orange is a real orange with a deep crimson colored skin- which is where it got the name “Blood Orange”.

Here is a picture of a sliced blood orange, courtesy of Wikipedia. See how the flesh of the orange is deeply colored? If you’ve never had the experience of smelling anything with blood orange in it- you KNOW how sweet and succulent it is. I am deeply in love with the smell.

Although I had previously heard of Blood Orange skin care products (I have an AMAZING perfume that’s blood orange) I had never seen it used in a soap before. I am SO glad that I got a chance to use this. The smell stimulates not only my senses because it smells so amazing, but it also seems to stimulate my skin cells.

The ingredients in this soap actually help repair damaged skin cells to leave it soft, silky, and luxurious. Unlike regular bar soaps, this one lathers up VERY nicely. This leaves my skin feeling refreshed and revitalized.

It is made with essential oils that nourish the skin instead of drying it out. The essential oils in the Blood Orange have a large amount of antioxidants that other citrus fruits don’t have. This also has the essential oils of bergamot which has antibacterial qualities that help cure skin problems.

A soap that can prevent skin damage, while thoroughly cleansing it. It has a deep yellow color and smells amazing. You can definitely smell a strong citrus blast with a hint of relaxing tea. The fragrance of this soap is helpful in calming the nervous system as well as easing headaches & to assist in relaxation.

It also foams up really really well, and it has lasted for quite some time now! At only $4.99 this is a steal for having nothing but organic, holistic ingredients that not only smell amazing but have great benefits for your skin.

This soap reminds me of summer. It’s fresh, fun, and smells great. If you aked me to choose between the two, I wouldn’t be able to because I love them both! Not only do they add character to the bathroom (unlike regular white bar soaps) but they didn’t dry my skin out because of the amazing essential oils that they contain!

Review & Giveaway: Wrap Strap Boot by Midnight Velvet

Fall is definitely here. The weather has dropped dramatically in the last couple of days. At the beginning of the week we were still getting 80 degree weather, and MAN was I a happy camper.
Last night, the weather dropped down into the low 40s, high 30s and today the highest it’s been all day is like 50.. so I am FREEZING my tail off. With fall already upon me, I needed to bask in the warmth of some amazing fall boots.

They are elegant, classy, and stylish. I love wearing them because they make any outfit look absolutely fabulous. I love skinny jeans, but I will ABSOLUTELY NOT wear them with tennis shoes. I am long legged and wearing skinny jeans with tennis shoes makes me look like a clown (makes my feet bulge).
I love the colored skinny jeans- they are awesome! The boots look fabulous no matter what color jeans I wear. Whether they’re peach, green, pink, light blue, or yellow. The black makes them stand out!

These boots ROCK the skinny jeans look. They have a small heel on the back, which I LOVE. They are thick enough that I’m not afraid I might just snap a piece off and be left with one boot. ;( They fit absolutely perfectly, with a little moving room. I have wide feet so I was extra glad when these boots didn’t squeeze my feet.

Looking beautiful and feeling beautiful DO have something in common. When you feel confident, beauty radiates from the inside. But I also strongly feel that a woman should be comfortable while she looks beautiful. I mean- how can someone LOOK their best when they get constant scrunched up faces because their feet are bring pinched.

That’s the reason I am DEEPLY in love with these boots. Although they are high quality, top-notch fashion item- they are built for comfort as well. I’ve never actually had a boot feel more amazing on my feet.

They even look completely stunning with leggings and a long tunic, or leggings and a long dress, or even a summer dress because of how sophisticated they look. They can spice up anything.

You don’t HAVE to damage your hair to get that straight from the salon blow-dry, straight hair, or curly locks. When you style your hair with heat it weakens and destroys the hair cuticles and follicles.

I have been there and DONE that. Jumping out of the shower, freezing my butt off, just CRAVING the heat from my perfect dryer. I can’t even THINK straight when I’m cold—so my hair dryer soon became my best friend. (AND you could tell by my split ends).

There is NO need to keep damaging those luscious locks and stripping away the natural oils though. All you have to do is accurately prep your hair before heat styling- which means using a Thermal Styling Spray that actually works to prevent damage.

I love that this isn’t a sticky formula. I could spray it directly on my hair while curling or straightening it and my hair never stuck to the tools. This has definitely helped with protecting my hair- but it has also added shine and reduced the frizz! A-mah-ZING.

It isn’t like an aerosol spray either. It doesn’t have a harsh smell that made me want to immediately cover it up. It comes with a spritz bottle top, so that I could spray it all over without a problem. AND it never once tempted to go in my eyes.

You can spray this on dry OR damp hair. SO- if you’ve shampooed and conditioned the night before, and want to wake up and style you can. I can wash my hair and let it air-dry, wake up and straighten or curl my hair and be on my way.

OR I can spritz this on my hair before blow-drying and get some volume out of it as well. So this isn’t just a thermal spray- this is like 4 amazing products in one. Thermal, styling, defrizzer, and shine! While this is on, you don’t have to worry that you’re hair is going to be stiff and stuck to your head. My hair felt absolutely natural, yet still held the curl!

·      HBL Spray Mousse

Have you ever had the problem of the bubbly mousse coming out too fast? Did you end up with a giant ball of mousse? Did it leaving you thinking of where you were going to stick all of it?

Those days are OVER! HBL has come out with a spray mousse. YES I said it! Sprayable mousse! This can be sprayed in every nook and cranny that needs some style or hold without you ending up with a giant white ball of product that ends up going to waste. This not only helps keep YOU sane, but it helps you save money in the long run.

I loved how this mousse has Panthenol in it, which helped pump up the volume on my not so thick hair. So any extra volume I get is very welcome! My hair is layered, so the volume really helped display the layers instead of them combining together.

This gives me the flexibleness that I crave as well. I HATE using products that make my hair feel stiff and unnatural. When I use something, I want hold, but I want my hair to look natural. I want cascading curls that I can run my fingers through if I want. Not a concreted mess that going to create a ton of tangles when I try and get it out at the end of the day!

The glycerin in the mousse functions as a humectant to retain the hairs moisture and to keep it silky, soft, and shiny.

·      HBL Texture & Styling Cream

This is an amazing cream. It allows me to mold and shape my hair any way I want to without it being stiff and unmanageable hours later. My hair stays flexible, and it stays soft and shiny.

I love that it stays easy to manage after using the cream. I have said MANY MANY times that I dislike stiff hair. This is amazing at keeping my hair flowing down my back, while still being able to mold it into any kind of style I want.

• Lanolin works as an emollient, which softens the hair while special resin blends including beeswax thickens, emulsifies and stiffens hair for a pliable hold.

This doesn’t  have a stickiness to it either, which is also a major plus. I hate when it feels like I have gunk in my hair. This was NOTHING like that. This just felt like using a creamed up flexible hold gel.

It helped with the volume problem that I lack and want so badly! This gave oomph without the hassle. I LOVE IT! It has helped me to perk up my lifeless locks and make them worth SHOWING off!
