Review: CandleWarmer.com Cream Emboss Warmer

I LOVE scented candles. Every time I go to the store I stop in the candle aisle and smell every single ONE! Although I do LOVE the scents, I hate worrying that my house might catch on fire if my rambunctious kids accidentally knock into one.

When I was given the opportunity to review a warmer and a couple pack of tarts from Candle Warmer, I was absolutely thrilled. I’d never had the experience of not having to set a candle up VERY VERY high so that the kids couldn’t possibly get to it.

Having lit candles around the house is a fire hazard. There are thousands of fires that start each year due to people not remembering to blow out their candles. They come back home and see fire trucks lining the front of their homes.

I DO NOT want to experience this. So I was excited to learn about the very safe, effective candle warmers. It came within just a couple days, and I was excited to get to try it!

It comes with a bowl that you can slip the tarts in, they melt and fill the entire house with their scented greatness. OR you can take the bowl off, and stick a candle right on the warmer. It starts melting the candle, and letting off the scent without the hazard of a flame.

LOVE the idea. I got to choose which candle warmer I wanted to review-so I ended up choosing the Cream Emboss warmer. I love that I can stick it in any room and it matches the décor. The have MANY MANY more that I want to add to my collection.

Since I’ve opened a business in town, I definitely want to get one to place in there. There’s nothing that says “welcome” better than scented goodness pulling them in and greeting them with a smile!

They are very easy to use!

I love that they have so many options, colors, and variety. No matter what style or décor you have in your home- they will definitely have something that complements that!

I also love that they have so many choices of the Wax Melts. I loved looking through all of them! I just wish I could get one of each! I love the vibrant colors and that each smells JUST like what they say. YOU know what I mean- when you’ve picked up a candle and it smells nothing like what the package says it does. These do!

I ended up getting Pumpkin Spice and Ripe Blackberry. The Ripe Blackberry is my absolute favorite! I’d never smelled Pumpkin Spice before, so I was going for something “fall” related. I didn’t really like it, but MANY MANY people do. You can see their Fall 2012 catalogue, which has TONS of new items.

I love that they not only offer Holiday scented wax melts, but they also offer Holiday Warmers! I LOVED each and every one of their choices. They are all unique and beautiful! They will look cute for your holiday gatherings.

They also have accessories; like candles! That way if you would rather burn a candle- you can! Candle Warmers has totally made me aware of how much better it is to have candle/wax melt warmer than to be burning candles.

YOU still get the same great smell, just in a safer more convenient way!

Review: Buckle Boutique Rhinestone Self- Adhesive Sticker Sheets

 

Buckle Boutique has a very large selection of Rhinestone Self Adhesive Sticker Sheets. I had the amazing opportunity to work with Buckle Boutique on some of these sheets!

They came super quick! As soon as I opened the package, I was in craft heaven. Sitting there thinking about the unlimited number of things that I could use this on.. I finally decided that I wanted to bling up my electronics.

I have ALWAYS loved personalizing my stuff. Whether it’s adding my name, a little character/word that reminds me of myself, or just adding something that resembles my style.

When I got my digital camera stolen a couple of years ago, I desperately wished that I had stuck something on it. Something that could be traced back to me. If something is seen with rhinestone stickers on it (and believe me- these babies STICK the ultimate stick) than I could easily say that it was mine. But it didn’t, and I had absolutely no way to tell WHO took it.

BUT- now that the amazing Cathie had sent me some of her beautiful sheets, I had the answer. Usually Rhinestones come in individual little pieces, and WHO wants to place all of them by hand? I know I don’t. SO- this is heaven in a sticky sheet.

My absolute favorite was the Hot Pink Zebra Self- Adhesive Sticker Sheet. I ended up sticking it on EVERYTHING.

This is a piece that I had already cut. It was SUPER easy to cut too. I even had to use my son’s school scissors. I’m pretty sure all of MY scissors picked that EXACT moment to run and hide. BUT anyway, there isn’t a chance that you can cut these crooked, all you have to do is follow the spaces in between the rhinestones.

Turn it over, and you see the adhesive side. All you have to do is peel that shiny paper off and stick it to whatever is calling your name. AND apparently everything was calling my name.

I made my briefcase/ file folder absolutely stunning. Now I can bring this to my office (IN my own shop WHOOP WHOOP) and feel as confident as I want and need too. That’s the best thing about these- they add personalization to anything you want.! (See how I added my initial to the side of the briefcase)? It wasn’t hard at ALL.

My beauty organizer and my LG phone both carry these amazing rhinestones. What I love best is that I can mix and match them up to make something even more beautiful!

Even my Nokia Lumia 900 got the Rhinestone Love. I love that they look so absolutely gorgeous, but it doesn’t add a ton of bulk to the electronics!

They can be adhered to plastic, paper, fabric, wood, personal electronics, even the arches of high heels! These stickers are ideal when one want to cover a larger surface quickly and easily.

What makes them SO special is the fact that all of the different styles can be can be cut with scissors or a paper cutter.  Some, and hopefully soon, all the sheets can be also be cut into shapes using a a die-cut machine (Cricut, Pazzle, Sizzix, KNK).

The Dry Shampoo

I have horribly oily hair, so I am always trying to find something to kill the greasiness. I can wash it one day, and the VERY next day it is already oily and looking like it hasn’t been washed in a week. This dry shampoo is like an answered prayer for me.

I’ve tried other dry shampoo’s (the kind that you spray in) and I could NEVER get the white spots out.  No matter how far away I sprayed it from my hair, the whiteness would still be there.

That’s the reason I love that this is a powder. I can sprinkle as much or as little as I need into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and apply it straight to my roots. I can do this to the sides, back, AND top of my hair without the white spots.

I love that it INSTANTLY soaks up the oil. The texture is very much like baby powder because it’s made with corn starch and french white clay. It doesn’t smell overpowering, too strong, or like I’m rubbing (spraying) lemon air freshener on my head.

This is the perfect sized bottle to slip in your purse and take with you to the office. All you have to do is sprinkle whatever amount you need into your hands, rub your hands together and rub into hair, and brush it out. Wa-lah. Instantly clean hair!

Next up is the Argan Stem Cell Leave in Conditioner. My hair long, which requires some extra TLC. Thanks to the Blow-drying, dying, straightening, and curling- it has its share of damage. I love this leave-in conditioner because it helps heal the damaged bits of my hair without weighing it down and making it oily.

I just spray a little on my hands, and rub it through my hair (NOT my roots). It really moisturizes, hydrates, and nourishes those split ends, damaged strands, and reduces the frizz that usually comes after I’ve dried my hair!

My hair feels so much thicker, smoother, and there wasn’t even a hint of dryness. I have been spraying my hair every morning after getting out of the shower, and WOW- I LOVE it! It’s my new must HAVE leave-in! Usually leave-ins are too oily, but this is hydrating without the oiliness.

This helps strengthen the hair, so it’s not just hydrating the dry, damaged, split ends- it’s actually going STRAIGHT to the source of the problem. It smells amazing, and I give thanks to the acai berry, pomegranate, and blackberry that are in it. Nothing but gorgeous, great smelling hair from my end!

My Black Friday- MY Christmas Present

I haven’t left yet. I ended up staying up WAYYYYY longer than I wanted to last night. I needed to get some work done, AND my son has been sick.

Poor guy’s been running a fever and had a stomachache since his last day of school on Tuesday. We are planning to go to Bowling Green today and shop for the  kids’ Christmas.

BUT while we are there, I am going to try and talk Adam into getting me a couple more piercings! I only have 2 right now- belly button and ears. BUT I’ve been dying to get second holes in my ears..

AND get my Tragus pierced.

WHAT exactly is a Tragus?

This is what it is! After it’s time to take it out, I want to be able to stick an eyebrow ring in it! I already use eyebrow rings as belly buttons rings half the time!

SO- let’s see how this goes and if I CAN talk him into it

How to care for your mattress

We all know that getting a good night sleep is essential for health and general wellbeing. Far from being a waste of time, sleep enables the body and mind to rejuvenate, re-energise and restore. As a person sleeps, the brain performs vital housekeeping tasks, such as organising long-term memory, integrating new information and repairing and renewing tissue. This period of rest and restoration is severely impaired if you are tossing and turning due to an uncomfortable, poorly cared for mattress.
A good quality mattress should last for at least ten years, so it’s a really serious investment. You should buy the best mattress you can afford, as you will be spending a great deal of time on it. However, you will need to carry out a little regular housekeeping to keep it in prime condition and get maximum value for money.
The human body eliminates about 40cl of water per night, therefore aeration of the bedroom and bedding is essential to eliminate moisture. Here is our guide for helping you to maximise the lifespan of your mattress, keeping it in top condition, clean and hygienic for as long as possible.
Turn your mattress regularly
You should turn your mattress over at least four times a year to avoid harmful body impressions. Memory foam mattresses should be rotated once a month, but not flipped over.

Cover the mattress
Stains, spills and moisture wont only spoil the look and feel of your mattress; it could void your warranty. Consider purchasing a washable mattress cover to protect the surface of your mattress that’s easy to remove and replace on your mattress. Some covers are even designed to repel dust mites and will reduce the need for vacuuming.

Remove dust from the mattress surface
Vacuum your mattress as often as possible, using the upholstery attachment, to remove any dust particles.
Don’t allow your mattress to get wet
If you spill something on your mattress and it becomes necessary to wet it, then do so sparingly! Use a small amount of soapy water and run the stain with a clean cloth. Moisture is the primary cause of mold growth, so make sure the mattress is completely dry before you replace the sheets.
Reduce Odours
Sprinkle a little baking powder over the surface of the mattress and leave for a few minutes, before thoroughly vacuuming off.

Strip the bed before vacations
A vacation is the ideal opportunity to allow your bed to aerate. Strip all the sheets and remove from the mattress. Not only will this leave your mattress fresh upon your return, it will prompt you to put clean, sweet smelling sheets on when you return from your vacation, making you fall in love with your bed all over again!

Don’t let children jump on the bed
I know, I know, we’re spoilsports! But if you’re serious about helping your mattress to achieve its maximum life span, then you need to limit your little darlings jumping activities to the trampoline.

Review: Moo Holiday Cards

I have had the opportunity to work with Moo again. You may remember my Mini Business Card Review. BUT this time, I got a chance to review some Holiday Cards. Right now they are having a 30% off sale. Instead of the regular price of $40, you only have to pay $27.99!

I love that they give the option of choosing packs of Pre-made Holiday cards or making your own. Of course I chose to make my own, being the crafty person I am.

It wasn’t only easy, it was tons of fun! I didn’t draw any of my own (because although I’m crafty- drawing isn’t one of my specialties). I searched online for Christmas Clipart, saved the pictures to my computer, and then uploaded them to the Moo website.

Patience isn’t one of my virtues, so I was excited to see that they uploaded and were ready to use within minutes! After you upload the pictures, they automatically load to the front of the cards. THEN you get to customize the inside of the cards.

Not only do you get to choose what goes in the middle of your card, but you get to choose the way it looks. I love that they give the option of choosing font and font color! It makes it SO much more special.

After choosing what goes in the middle of the cards, I got to choose what to write on the back. I ended up choosing “Merry Christmas 2012 from Jessica, Adam, & the kids! They arrived within days- which was awesome!

The picture on the left is one of the prints that I chose for the cards. It is a picture of me & the kids! It is my absolute favorite. I decorated it with a digital scrapbooking “stars” wrap around in gold and red. I LOVED how the quality of the pictures ended up. Nothing smeared, blurred, or messed up! Just absolutely perfect!

This is a collection of 4 of the cards. I edited the color of the ornaments in the left picture in Paint.net. They started out as red, but I wanted lime green and dark blue/purple. I LOVE that you can see ALL the details of the sparkle embellishments on the ornaments.

The second picture is of clipart Christmas trees that I found REALLY cute. I had a blast picking and choosing what ended up making it on the cards and what didn’t, It is going to feel absolutely amazing handing these out instead of the boxed un-original ones that everybody buys from Walmart or Target!

Here are some other pictures that made the cut! Love that you can see the swirls in the ornament Christmas balls. The quality of these (AGAIN) amazes me! I love that they take so much pride in printing for their customers, because I take pride in ordering from them! They never fail to amaze me!

Every single card I got, I LOVE. There is just something special about handing out something that you CHOSE. It feels so much more exhilarating to hand out cards that have a special MEANING and that I chose.

They can accept JPG, PNG and GIF formats, so whatever picture you choose will work. As you can tell, I love working with quite a few different designs, but you may not. You may just want to choose a couple of really amazing shots of your family or something. Just make sure you have them ready to upload!

Review: Overstock Silver- Tiffany Inspired Bubbles Hoop Earrings

I think that it’s pretty safe to say that there isn’t a woman on this planet that doesn’t love jewelry. I am a jewelry fanatic, and couldn’t possibly live life without my accessories.

When I got a chance to work with Overstock Silver, I was psyched. I was looking through the website and they have some VERY beautiful pieces. They have everything! Rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that aren’t going to cost you an arm and a leg.

Whether you are looking for a Christmas present, a stocking stuffer, or are looking for Wholesale jewelry they have it all in one place. I love the vast selection of the colored CZ diamonds, which are from the celebrity inspired collection.

They ended up sending me the Tiffany Inspired Bubbles Hoop Earrings. I LOVE hoop earrings, but I love that these are very unique then others. They have bubble like CZ diamonds placed around the hoop. They stand out, and are absolutely beautiful.

 

I love that I can wear these either day or night and look trendy either way. They are sterling silver, so they go with anything and everything. I KNOW that they are real sterling silver, because I’m allergic to anything that isn’t real.

They are a medium sized hoop, but yet aren’t heavy at all. I can’t even tell that they are there. I love that about them. Other hoops can drag down the earlobes, but these don’t do that at all. These are absolutely perfect in every single way. I am glad to have been selected to try these out and add them to my jewelry collection.

The best thing about these is that they are only $46, so you’re not breaking the bank to look your best. It feels good to know that you can end up buying MORE pieces instead of just getting one! That’s what I love about saving money!

I wore these to Thanksgiving and all Adam’s family was asking where they came from. They had no clue that they weren’t real diamonds. I loved the compliments and the fact that they thought they cost hundreds.. and not less than $50. Cha-Ching for ME!

I love that after you look at something.. at the bottom of the page it recommends pieces that go with what you’re looking at. This is extremely helpful if you’re looking for a couple pieces for someone or yourself!
