Review: Bailey Berry- BB STARS Shoes for Kids

I am so excited to tell you about a new pair of shoes that little miss Adisyn has been wearing for a couple weeks now. I fell in love with them as soon as I seen the website.

They are easy to put on, easy to stay on, and easy to clean. That means they are the perfect shoes for kids. Every time I get my kids a new pair of shoes they are absolutely filthy within a week or 2. I’ve already had to buy Aidan’s second pair of school shoes already.

I chose to get a pair of BB Stars for Adisyn though. She loves shoes, but hates keeping them on. She likes to do things (put her clothes and shoes on) by herself but can become quickly agitated if things don’t go her way. These shoes make it easy for small kids to help themselves and put their own shoes on.

They can be worn with or without socks, and the designs are absolutely adorable. I ended up getting the white pair for Adisyn so that she would have a pair of shoes to go with almost any outfit that I choose (OR she chooses) for her.

Adisyn loves that she can change out the straps to make it look like she has different pair of shoes on. Of course she has to do it herself, she won’t let me help LOL. She loves them and thinks they are sandals. She obviously thinks they are comfortable because I didn’t hear her complaining that they hurt her feet or trying to ditch them at the first chance she got.

Review: L’Bri Pure n Natural Skincare

I have been using a new skincare line for 3 months now. It included everything in the skincare line, so I stopped using everything else (except day and night creams) so that I could fully access how this line really worked.

Exfoliating Face & Body Scrub

To me there is NOTHING better than an exfoliating face AND body scrub. I’ve rarely seen them together, but this works very well. My body skin can become dull and dry looking in the colder, winter months.
I love using this because I can actually FEEL the exfoliation as it’s happening. It actually feels like there are tiny “sand granules” in the skincare, although that isn’t the case. They work to exfoliate the dry, tired looking skin cells without further drying the skin out.
This is amazing at removing the “dry flakes” without making my skin drier than It started out. This is a gentle exfoliation though, and is safe for daily use. It doesn’t scratch or tear your delicate skin cells.
My skin looks so much healthier, fresher, and smooth. No longer are those dull, dry, itchy patches visible on my body. It has also helped to remove the excess oil on my face, so there is nothing but smooth, acne free skin to be seen!

Rejuvenating Facial Peel

This has made my skin do a complete 180, a complete transformation in sync with the other L’bri products. This is one of the absolute indispensible items  within the line. If I didn’t have the money to buy the others, I would still try and swing it to where I would never run out of this.
It is just so astonishing to see all those dead skin cells just slide off like it’s a mud pie. It’s amazing because it isn’t harsh on the skin. Doesn’t leave it red, irritated, or hurting. Just feels like you’ve used a regular cleanser that had something really really good in it-The superpower of cleaners. 
This is more like a gel then anything, so it goes on very well. It has an instant cooling effect and only needs to be left on for a minute. I really liked that it was a time saver. Usually with face peels they have to be on for 3-5 minutes. I like using peels before I get in the shower—so I’d have to find something to occupy my time while waiting before.
Now it isn’t a problem. I can just rub it on and rub some small circular motions (all over the face) twice a week. I usually use this with my Toilettree professional skin care system—(it has rotating scrub brushes that clean the face). I just put the peel on and then continue to do the circular motion with the electronic face brush.
I’ve been using this for 3 months now and I haven’t even put a dent in the jar. You don’t need very much at all and it goes a long way. I am betting that a small jar could last me a 9 months to a year.

Firmer, lighter, smoother skin? YES please. As this hardens my face begins to feel like I am made of wax.

Smooth & Firm Eye Repair Gel

I’m still young, so I don’t have crow’s feet or anything like that. As a beauty maven, I KNOW that if I use something BEFORE it happens that it may NOT happen, right?

I love putting this on. It’s a bright green, gel like cream that soothes on impact. It’s instantly firming and begins to tighten as it dries, which I like.
This little one ounce jar could also last me for a very long time. I only have to use a very small amount for both eyes. I notice that if I DO get more than needed, it still seeps in very well.
If I am feeling tired, dragged down, and exhausted at night when I put this on- it seems to invigorate the tiredness and relax at the same time.
Eyes are the first thing to show signs of aging and if I CAN allude that, I will. This is designed to replenish the elasticity that seeps out as you age, as well as decrease fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles.

This is amazing to use everywhere on your body. I use this mixed with a body butter all over my body when I get out of the shower. It works amazing after a shave, especially if I’ve accidentally knicked myself. It helps to speed up the healing process of cuts, burns, and scrapes.
I have Keratosis Pilaris (chicken skin) on my thighs. Review: Stompeez Unicorn Slippers

Christmas is within reach, doesn’t seem possible does it? It is though. My daughter had seen the Stompeez Commercial on TV a million times. Every single time she seen it, she told me “Mommy I want the unicorns.” She’s 3, so it comes out “OOnicorn” but it was cute nonetheless.

It has been super super cold here the last few weeks. So these aren’t only fun and cute they are practical as well. Our floors aren’t carpeted, so the floors can be pretty chilly. I never walk around without socks and shoes on.

My kids are the opposite though. They’ll take their socks and shoes off everytime we get IN the house (mostly Adisyn), so I was glad to have been chosen to review the Unicorn Stompeez.

There were tons of cute characters such as monsters, rabbits, puppies, but my daughter is a unicorn fanatic. She LOVES ponies and unicorns. When I got these in the mail, she was OVERLY excited. “Thank you Mommy, these are So pretty”.

They were offered in small, medium, and large. Of course, Adisyn needed a small because she’s tiny. She walked around in these ALL day. We didn’t have any place special to be, so I let her. She thought she was really something in those house shoes.

Review: FTD College Flowers

I recently had the opportunity to review a beautiful bouquet of flowers from FTD. They now carry a line of College gifts and flowers and I got to choose a bouquet from this line to check out for myself.

As soon as they arrived, I was stunned at how carefully packaged they were. I was glad that they took customer satisfaction into consideration. The vase is glass (of course), and it was zip-tied into the box so that there was absolutely NO room for it to move around and get broken.

I ended up choosing the University of Kentucky flowers. I was born, raised, and still live in Kentucky. Big Blue has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I always try and show my support whenever and wherever I can.

The flowers were so brilliantly colored, I could instantly tell that these were very high quality flowers. I loved how bright blue the flowers were and how well the white shown through. They were absolutely astonishing. I LOVED having these on my table!

They had a huge selection of colleges to choose from and their flowers were all so beautiful. Although they do have a huge variety, they don’t have small colleges, such as Western Kentucky (which is closest to me).. but all the major colleges ARE on there.

This is also a great gift for a fan of any of these colleges, those who have just graduated from there, went there before, or has children there. You can even get college memorabilia to add to it! That’s amazing.

Review: Scrubz- Pomberry & Wild Cherry Almond Body Scrubs & Honey Lip Scrub

I am a woman who loves being pampered. I can’t count how many different bath products, hair products, and beauty products line my room. There are SO many different choices because I like a variety. I love body scrubs, lotions, body butters, perfumes. (YUMMY).

If you’re looking for a skin moisturizing body scrub that smells absolutely AMAZING, I’ve got what you’ve been looking for. Scrubz Body is an amazing site that sells bath products that don’t contain any artificial preservatives or colors.

I chose the Wild Cherry Almond & The Pomberry Zing. They have taken out the Pomberry Zing, but the Wild Cherry Almond is still going strong. I really liked the Pomberry Zing though, I wish they hadn’t have let it go.

The first thing I did when they arrived in the mail was open the jars and take a big whiff. YUM, heavenly scents. The best thing about natural body scrubs is the many ways you can use them- Body Scrub/Cleanser, Facial Scrub, Pre-Shave/Shaving Oil, & Moisturizer.

The Wild Cherry Almond body scrub smells like tangy wild cherries mixed with a soft milk like almond scent. They are two scents that mix up VERY well to create such a refreshing, invigorating scent.

Body Scrubs work amazing as exfoliants for the skin. Exfoliation works by removing the surface dead skin cells, opening pores and stimulating circulation and blood flow.

These are safe enough for daily use because they contain natural sugar. When using natural sugar in a scrub, it is more healthy for your skin. It won’t burn, irritate, or dry your skin out!

In the shower the salts come off, but the oil which creates the moisture seeps into my skin. My skin is left silky, soft, and hydrated. I love using this with my Toilettree Body Scrubber, it gets really deep down to exfoliate my skin.

I also love using this to shave with. Exfoliation stimulates and softens the hair follicles making it easier to get a closer shave. The natural oils remained on my skin for super hydration, I couldn’t stop feeling how super smooth they were.

With the Scrubz Lip Scrub, it works to exfoliate the dead skin off of the lips. It’s a gentle exfoliation though and it smells and tastes SO good with the honey in it. With just a couple uses through the week, my lips were back to normal. No more dried out cracked mess. Nothing but soft, moisturized, great smelling lips.

Book Review: 100 Fresh and Fun Handmade Cards by Kimber McGray; F&W International Media

Do you like making handmade cards, or would you like to learn? If not YOU, do you know someone who IS passionate about handmade cards or even scrapbooking? If you do, then I have the book for you.

I was sent the 100 Fresh and Fun Handmade Cards book to review. I am a crafter by nature. I love ANYTHING handmade; whether it’s sewing, crochet, pottery, or scrapbooking. Handmade cards aren’t something that I hadn’t given a try before getting the book.

It’s something I always WANTED to try, just hadn’t seen a book that really inspired me. As soon as this book came in the mail, I was flipping through thinking “this is something I could definitely do.”

Every single one of these cards are inspiring. They have every kind of card you would ever want to make. It’s not just about the type, it’s about learning the technique of these amazing cards. Spinners, Shakers, Sliders, Pop-ups, and Swivels.

There are 100 cards: 50 quick and adorable cards for every occasion and 50 interactive or dimensional cards based on the quick card designs. So whether you’re a beginner or someone who is seasoned at handmade card crafting- you can find something that suits your tastes.

I have always thought that handmade cards were so much better to give and get then the ones you can buy at a store. It means and says SO much that you spent your time making something then just spending a couple bucks at most buying something and then handing it over.

 

For me, as a visual learner- it is ALWAYS helpful when there are step-by-step instructions that come with pictures. It helps me process in my brain what to do. The words on the picture don’t mean anything to me in a craft book unless there are pictures accompanying them. The pictures are what help you learn the technique and master the craft.

I love everything that this book has to offer. There are all very inspiring to my crafters senses. It’s always exciting to jump in and get a new project underway. The best thing about these are that they don’t require a TON of time.
