Start Your Christmas Shopping Early with Totally Money!

imageimageimageimage
As soon as fall hits, Holiday shopping begins. People start browsing- buying stuff here and there, what they can afford. They bring it home, wrap it up, and hide it from the person who they got it for.
Or maybe they put the items on layaway and pay a little on it when they can. These have something in common- it saves money overall. Picking stuff up when you have a little extra cash, or putting everything on layaway and paying every 2 weeks or so..

BUT what you may not understand is that Credit Card companies also jump into all the holiday commotion. THEY want YOU to pick THEM, so they will do anything they can to get you to choose their cards.
During the holidays they will give amazing introductory APR rates that will make it easier on you to pay off the full balance each month.

They will offer perks that aren’t available at any other time of the year.
Make sure that you only use one card for all your holiday shopping needs. This will save you money, and save your sanity. If you are trying to pay off multiple credit cards at one time, it could get hectic and crazy. You might end up late and interest rates shooting sky high.

My credit card helps me to make purchases before I get paid. SO that I know that I always have money on hand in case of an emergency. Whether it be gas, groceries, or even a really good clearance sale that isn't going to come again. That way when I do get paid, I can pay off the card instead of having to do without until I do get paid.

SO- make sure that you choose a card that fits YOUR needs. Do not get a card that has great sky high miles if you don’t fly. The most rewarding cards have cash back on purchases such as gas, groceries, and yes holiday shopping. Check out top credit cards at Totally Money

Make sure that you are NOT just buying to be buying. Write down the people you need to buy for- family, friends, co-workers.. AND then write down a few suggestions that they may like for the holiday. Search on the internet before hitting up the stores.

The more prepared that you are before you go shopping, the less of a hassle you will have when actually at the store. It will save you time, so you aren’t searching through the store forever!
