50 Shades of Grey by E.L. James
When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young enerprenuer Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana's quiet beauty, wt, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too- but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey's singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success- his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family- Grey is a man termented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a darinh physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey's secrets and explores her own dark desires.
Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, and stay with you forever.
My Thoughts +& Review-
I had some doubts about all the "FUSS" over these books because I'm not really a Romance reading kind of girl- but DAMNNNN was I wrong. This isn't some boring "Love me, please?" Kind of book! I was instantly taken with this book.. It's super-hot! It's not your average Jane loves John and tries to get him to notice her...boring kind of stuff.
Ana and Christian meet by complete accident because Kate (Ana's Roommate) was sick and asked Ana to interview him for the College newspaper. She is completely befuddled and nervous, trips and practically falls into his office. I like that Ana has spunk, wits, and keeps the conversation flowing and interesting..
Christian is a smoldering, deeply wounded soul and yet you can see throughout the book that Ana is making him melt a little. She is definitely changing his darkish, deep haunted thoughts that make him feel so isolated and alone. This is a match made in heaven because they each have what the others looking for. He gives her strength and courage and she gives him love and understanding. It's a lovely, sexy book and I can't wait to read the rest of the Trilogy. This book was damn amazing!
