Adam and I are working on our relationship this year. We are trying to plan more "us" time. Movies watched together, more outings, and more dinners with just the two of us. We don't really have attentive parents to help us with our kids. In the last 5 years, I think we've had 3 dates. So we are working on this. It's stressful not to be able to connect the way we should be able to.
Instead of trying to sneak the time in to be together, we are now PLANNING the time in. I think with both our hectic schedules, planning is the best thing. That way we are both getting the love and attention that a relationship needs to prosper.
Not only does this book help you to plan love into your life, but it gives you IDEAS on how to do this. Such as going ice skating in the winter, followed by a walk around the neighborhood to look at the Christmas lights.. Then off to the house for Hot Chocolate and some other "warming up". Focusing on YOU and HIM are the best thing for these "dates". Focusing all your energy and excitement into each other.
I really enjoyed the book. I love how it breaks down the "tips" of date night for parents. Such as planning it at a time where you are relaxed and can have some one on one time without being interrupted. When you are tuned into each other, you tend to be happier with yourself as well as each other. When your happier, your more likely to just drop the stress and be THERE for your husband.
According to the book "73 percent of women would rather have sex on a regular basis, compared to just 27 percent who would rather receive a box of chocolates at a similar frequency." If you want it, why not take the extra steps to get what you want?
