GoldenEel Review & Giveaway

I write basically all the time. I have tons of notebooks to categorize my thoughts, so that one notebook isn’t completely filled up with rambles that aren’t connected. This book is just right for what I needed to keep all my online websites and communities login and password info.
I also like to keep track of blog hops and places to list giveaways and such..

So I added some sticky tabs to make the notebook into a binder like notebook. I love the design of the notebook. It is so beautiful and thoughtful, and even the hubby tried to steal this one for work… But I branded it MINE.. haha
I love the quality, it isn’t a notebook that is going to fall apart easily, or be ripped to shreds by little hands.
Goldeneel is a Cafepress powered shop, which sells more than just notebooks.

They sell Hoodies
I really like this 4 leaf clover one..
Bloody Four Leaf Clover - Hoodie
They sell baby onesies

Happy’s Christmas Gift {Book Review & Giveaway}

I received the book Happy’s Christmas Gift by Geoff Parker, Sr.

I really enjoyed reading this book to my kids. Not only did it teach them about being kind, it is just an awesome story with a very cute dog as the main character.

Nana wrote Happy’s letter to Santa, so he was on his way to have it mailed. After dropping off his letter, he takes his stroll along town as usual. He runs into Amy, who is currently living at a shelter. She is afraid that Santa won’t know where to find her on Christmas. She accidently drops her letter, so Happy picks it up and takes it to the post office for her. Inside the post office, he accidently falls into the bag for Santa to pick up. He was frightened, but soon found himself on an adventure he would never forget. He soon finds himself at the North Pole. Nana, on the other hand, is at home and worried about where Hap may have gone. The elves made Hap his very own Santa costume, and he headed back home to Nana, after visiting all the stops at the North Pole.

My kids loved this book. They found it exciting and loved Hap. I loved that this book taught kindness during a time where kindness is needed. The book is illustrated very nicely, they liked that Hap got his very own Santa Suit, and got to go back home to Nana.

This book is for sale here for $14.99 with FREE shipping in US and Canada and only $3.50 worldwide. There are English-only, Spanish-only, and English-Spanish versions available.

Disclosure: The opinions in this post are my own. This is in no way a sponsored post. I did receive Hap’s Christmas Gift Free to Review from Happy Tales Publishing

Babar and Father Christmas DVD Review & Giveaway

The DVD Babar and Father Christmas is a really nice addition for the holidays. It contains 3 short stories, with Babar and his family.

Babar and Father Christmas is the first story. This is based on the book with the same name. Babar and his wife Celeste live in Celesteville with their 3 children; Flora, Pom, and Alexander. They have heard about how Father Christmas brings presents to humans on Christmas, and write him a letter asking him to come to Celesteville. But Rataxes, the Rhinoland leader, thinks he can steal the letter, and keep all the toys for himseld. So Babar wants to find Father Christmas and ask him face to face to visit Celesteville.
"A Child In the Snow," is the second short animation on this DVD. Babar and his family go on vacation in the mountains. But he also has a plan that nobody know about. He plans to try and find a giant creature that he first seen as a child.
"The Gift," is the third short. Babar wants to get the old lady a special present from the “Way out Bird” which happens to be a feather from his tail. The only problem is that the only place to find the bird is the “way out peak” which happens to be a very dangerous spot.
My kids had never watched Babar before. They loved it. I really think this DVD will become a family tradition on the holidays. I took some time to talk to them, and tell them that they were lucky to have Santa come and visit, because some kids don’t get to be visited by him. They thought it was an awesome movie, and I thought it had an awesome theme. I have already added this to the list of Christmas movies for us to watch  before Christmas. Your kids would probably enjoy this as much as mine did. The animation is bright and catches their eye, and the stories all have meaning behind them.
Disclosure: All opinions in this post are honestly mine. This is not a sponsored post. I did receive the DVD to review from EntoneGroup..
and Now for the Giveaway
One Made.By.Jess Reader will win their very own copy of Babar and Father Christmas to share with their family next Christmas…

Covenant Clothing Review & Giveaway

Covenant Clothing Company - Honoring God, Loving Life, & Serving Others
As I said before, as soon as I reached 600 followers, I’d post an awesome giveaway right? Right!
Well.. I have a handmade shop from Maui who screen prints Christian Tshirts and baby onesies.
What’s not to love about handmade? I definitely love to buy and promote handmade. Handmade business owners are the busiest people all-year round. Not only are they making what they wish to make {Tshirts in this case} but they have to self-promote themselves. They have to sell their products AND their company.
With all the different shops available online, sometimes it’s hard to be seen under all the others. This is why Covenant Clothing stands out.
Luana, the owner behind Covenant Clothing is an amazing person. I have definitely enjoyed working with her. We had a humorous little email about the postal service, although it turned out for the best. She is a kind-hearted and hard working, and someone I would definitely work with in the future.
I’ve been trying to hold out on posting her clothing line, because I wanted to use it for my “New Year, New You” event, which will be taking place after Christmas.. {Anyone interested in joining this event please email me @ madebyjessblog@gmail.com} There will be a $5 dollar fee, but it will be pushed aside if you write a blog post, tweet, and FB the event. The only requirements is that you have at least $20 in products, services, or gift cards to giveaway.
These t-shirts are 100% cotton, so they are perfect for babies, toddlers, and kids. The tshirts are printed locally in Hawaii, and she offers custom designs. She also tries her best to give back to her community by partnering with other Maui based businesses. I love it. I love all of it. The thought of selling handmade, and supporting her community.
Here are samples of her Onesies

Keiki Hiwahiwa means Precious Child
She offers Hawaiian style Designs, Christian Tshirts and humorous family fun designs. She has beautiful deigns, high quality friendly customer service and personal contact, what more could you ask for? Oh, and did I mention- they ship worldwide via USPS? She also sells wholesale, if your interested.

We received 3 Screen Printed Shirts, and here they are..
DSCF4916DSCF4978

The third shirt had milk spilled on it RIGHT before I could take a picture. It’s the same as the picture on the right except it says “daddy’s answered prayer” instead of mommy. You can see it ----BELOW---
Here’s some other T-shirts she designs {children}

And now she has SHOES, yay!

Luana and the Covenant Clothing Line are on Twitter, FB, and G+

How To Build a Media Kit | The Bewitchin' Kitchen Guest Post

Two weeks ago I finally built my Media Kit. I started at 8/9 am and didn't finish until 10 o'clock that evening (of course there were scattered breaks in between), a lot of hard work went into it. I had no idea where to start, I couldn't find any information on building a Media Kit that related to The Bewitchin' Kitchen's theme and what I wanted to show I offer. So that is why I am posting this. I had a hard time, so I know there are others having difficulty as well and I hope this post will help you.

Getting Started
This was my biggest challenge, I had no idea on how or where to start. So I flipped roles and looked at it from a company's perspective, what would I want to know? This is what I came up with:
  • Information about the blog and what their stats are
  • Experience and reputation
  • Policies and procedures (what to expect and what they expect from me)
  • How much is this going to cost me
Once I had an idea on what I thought I should be addressing, I had to figure out what I wanted to state in each section:

Information: Have information about the history of your blog, how did it start, when, what is it about? Include your blogging statistics: followers, subscribes, Facebook Fans, Twitter, Google Page Rank, Alexa rating, etc. Don't forget to write a little information about yourself and how the company can get in contact with you.

Experience and Reputation: List companies you have worked with (and include a link or two so the company can see what your style is). Every once in a while ask a company that you have worked with to write you a short testimonial and post them on your media kit, they're great references.
Policies and Procedures: It's great to be clear on what your expectations are from the beginning and what the company can expect from you, so there no surprises later on, which could hurt your relationship with the company you work with.

Costs: If you have advertising rates or charge for any service that you may provide. State it! Not only  will this save you (and the person you are about to work with) time but there is also clarity from the beginning.

Putting It All Together
This is what took me the most time to do. You want your Media Kit to not only be eye catching and memorable but you want it to look professional as well.
  • Keep it organized: I think this is pretty self explanatory.
  • Add your blog logo: Not only does this make your Media Kit visually stimulating, but it gives it a professional look.
  • Don't over do it: Keep it clean and simple. When you look it over, you want your eyes to glide smoothly over the document.
  • When it doubt, leave it out: If you're second guessing putting something in, just leave it out. It probably isn't important to the company
It's hard to put together a Media Kit for a blog without a visual guide. That is why after a lot of thought, I have decided to post samples of my Media Kit. I take a lot of pride in my Media Kit and was hesitant about post it at first, because of copyright reasons. I feel that my Media Kit is personal, and I would hate for it to be duplicated.

That's why before I share I would like to state that my Media Kit is copyrighted and if you would like to share it or want to use it for your personal use that you contact me first. Unauthorized use of The Bewitchin' Kitchen's Media Kit is prohibited.

Don't forget to update your Media Kit, as your blogging stats, events and even rates will change with time. I update my Media Kit the first of every month.

I hope this guide helped you, and if you liked it don't forget to share it. If you would like to feature this post on your blog (as a guest post), feel free to contact me.

This is a gust post written by, Randa, the owner of The Bewitchin' Kitchen. The Bewitchin' Kitchen is a great place to read the latest reviews and enter some great giveaways. You will also find some recipes, household tips and tricks and everyday tales of life adventures.

CrazyDogTshirts Review and Giveaway

The shirts you want to wear, at prices you can afford even if your cash flow is just an allowance. We do Custom tees too, if that suits your fancy.

I really like the shirts on their webpage. They are adorable and funny at the same time.
I got the Engrish shirt, which is located in the Men’s section
Way with Words T-Shirt
* Great Colors
* Soft, Stylish, Versatile
* Quick Shipping through USPS
* High Quality, Lightweight, Soft Cotton Tshirts
I surprised Adam with this shirt. I thought it was funny. So many people now talk in non complete sentences, and think they are so cool. Adam thought it was hilarious, and even wore it to work. {Under his coveralls} But still had to show people, which I thought was even funnier.
I’m probably going to steal this shirt sometime in the future, because I love it. I wouldn’t mean to offend vegetarians, because I ‘ve seen how they get all looped out about stuff like this, but THIS girl will NEVER turn. I love meat too much. Chicken, Cheeseburgers, and Porkchops- yum. Tofu doesn’t sound and will never sound very appealing to me.
I’m super glad that he liked it. There were others that he liked on the site as well, but I chose this one for him. I should have gotten him the fantasy football shirt though, because he is all about it. That’s all I hear everyday.
The shirt is such a great quality, with bright colors that draw attention. Shipping was fast and easy to determine sizing.
They are a BBB accredited site, and accept Mastercard, Visa, and Amex.
I spent a lot of time on the website, looking at all the cool designs. They have so many to choose from that it’s  hard to pick just one.
Here are some that I thought we so awesome.
Buddy the Elf was so funny. I really like this movie, so of course I would like the shirts. It’s a good Christmas theme..

Handsan Review

This isn’t a hand sanitizer, it is a hand cleaner. It is the first vitamin based, alcohol free, organic hand cleanser. It is made from organic citrus extract and purified water, and has no artificial preservatives or colors. It is 100% safe for people, the planet, and animals.

Handsan kills 99% of germs naturally with no added chemicals. It cleans without drying out your hands. It is a hand cleaner spray, so it is easy to drop in your purse and use on the go.

It kills:

Everybody has germs, you just have to maintain the spread of them. Cold and flu germs being spread are how people get sick.

When someone has a cold and touches doorknobs, the telephone, bank pens, and toilet stalls and you touch it after them, you could get sick also.

People have been carrying hand sanitizer bottles around, but now they have an awesome little spray. It does leave your hands wet, even after rubbing it in, so you might also want to carry a paper towel or something.

When you have kids, you know how far germs go. Aidan was going to school and coming home sick at least once a week. Kids were coming to school with the sniffles and coughs. Where he was premature, he still has a low immune system and gets sick easily. He was missing a lot of school, and bringing it home to Adisyn.

Washing hands is a big part of keeping germs away. If you don’t have a sink handy, you can always carry the Handsan. It doesn’t contain alcohol which you can dry out skin, and it is safe for kids to use.

All in all, a great product for both parents, teachers, doctors, and kids. You can put this in a kids backpack side pocket, and encourage them to spray their hands every chance they can.

I want to thank Handsan for working with me.

Disclosure: This isn’t a sponsored post. I did agree to write a review in exchange for products.

Mary Higgins Clark- On the Street Where You Live {Book Review}

About the book:
In the gripping new novel from the Queen of Suspense, a woman is haunted by two grisly murders separated by more than a century, yet somehow, inextricably linked...
Following a nasty divorce and the trauma of being stalked, criminal defense attorney Emily Graham leaves Albany to work in Manhattan. Craving roots, she buys her ancestral home, a Victorian house in the seaside resort town of Spring Lake, New Jersey. Her family sold the house in 1892, after one of Emily's forebears, Madeline Shapley, then a young girl, disappeared.
As the house is renovated and a pool dug, a skeleton is found and identified as Martha Lawrence, a young Spring Lake woman who vanished several years ago. Within her hand is the Wnger bone of another woman, with a ring -- a Shapley family heirloom -- still on it. Determined to Wnd the connection between the two murders, Emily becomes a threat to a seductive killer...who chooses her as the next victim.
*My Review
Emily has just gotten a divorce from her crappy husband. Who then took her to court to try and sue her for money that she made AFTER they were separated. She also had a stalker, who tried to break into her house, who still claims that he never stalked her.
She wants to get away from all the craziness, so she decided to buy her ancestral  home in Spring Lake. She knows that her great-grandmother’s sister was abducted around this home, and that her family continued to believe that she was murdered. They had no person of interest at the time.
Now 110 years later- Emily buys the house. The previous owners were excavating to install an underground pool. She decided to go ahead with the excavation, thinking it would be nice to have a pool. During the digging, they happen upon 2 bodies. One being her Great Aunts, the other being a young woman who had went missing recently. They were together inside the so-called grave.
They suspect a serial kidnapper/killer, but are the newer murders a mimic of the older deaths? How does the new killer know where the older victims buried? Emily thinks that the killings that took place 110 years earlier were recorded somewhere, and then someone found the records.
During this whole ordeal, Emily also finds herself with ANOTHER stalker. Someone is sending her pictures and leaving them at her doorstep. They are letting her know that they have access to her, making her feel uncomfortable.
This book was really awesome. I can’t give away any more, or the story would be told..
I have always liked the way that Mary Higgins Clark tells her stories. Her writing is always well rounded, full of suspense, and her characters seem so real.
You can buy this book for $7.99 or borrow it from your local library.

Earbits Review {Google Chrome App}

Discover new music you’ve never heard before with Earbits. The log-in process is very easy, allowing you to sign in with Facebook.
You can click on a “genre” of music and then it finds music for you. Sort of like Pandora but with new bands who aren’t “big.”
I clicked on the “Rock” button, and was automatically astonished with the song it gave me. I’d never heard of the song before or the singer. I really liked it. The name of the song is “Been a Pleasure” by Gaby Moreno. It gives you something new to listen to when your tired of listening to the same old stuff.
You can send songs to your Facebook friends, share on your Facebook wall, or tweet about the songs you like all on the Earbits page. These aren’t songs that are played on the radio.
If you like the song you can click on the thumbs up icon and it will be saved to your “liked” songs, so that you can revisit them at any time. If you don’t like it, simply click on the thumbs down button and the song automatically changes to a different song. There is no limit to how many times you can skip songs.
The transition from song to song is very quick, so your not waiting forever. The app is easy to use, and the design is simple so it doesn’t look overcrowded.
The channels are so distinctly organized that you aren’t searching for a certain genre for a long amount of time.
