Review: PACKAWAYS DORM BOXES

Although I haven’t passed my dorm room years, I ended up going to Online School instead of a campus based college. My son ended up being extremely premature and I didn’t want to put him in a daycare.

That doesn’t mean that Packaways doesn’t have a spot in our house though. They ARE amazing for moving, especially if you’re a college student or live in a small space. I know all about living in a small space.

If you have the original totes that have lids and don’t break down- when all you’re stuff is out and put up, there is still no room to put totes. They are too wide and bulky to fit under beds. They take up tons of room when stacked on top of each other-and even more when stacked beside each other.

The packaways are AMAZING. They can be reused, reused, and reused time and time again. They are very thick plastic and they aren’t going to wear out like a cardboard box would.

It takes like a split second to get this box up and going! The bottom flap tucks under itself to create a sturdy box to fit whatever it is you need to pack. When you’re done packing- the longer sides fold in first, then the smaller sides tuck into the longer sides.

The best thing about it is- NO WORRIES. No tape, no hassle with folding one side in, another on top, the other side in, the other on top. I don’t have to have scissors or go and buy a ton of packing tape. No sticky mess at all.

The white labels are the packaways very own magic dry erase board. This is cool because after you’ve used them- wipe them clean, fold them down, stack them beside each other and they are ready to be used again next time!

Because I live in a small space as of right now and I have no place to stick my giant dresser that accommodates my more than 50+ pairs of jeans (yes, JUST jeans)- I’ve had to improvise. Now I have some very cool, amazing NEON colored dressers. Yes, you guessed right- the packaways are my NEW dressers for right now.

I love that I can stack them on top of each other in the corner and still have easy access to my clothes when I need to change. The Packaways have their very own built in handles that make it extremely easy to grab and hold. Unlike boxes that slip and fall!

Review: Flat Iron Experts- KQC Swirl Professional Ceramic Curling Iron (1")

The KQC Swirl Professional Ceramic Curling Iron has the ability to make perfect curls that last all day long. It is top of the line and extremely valuable to me as a mom and as someone who hated curling her hair before!

 

My Thoughts*

I am IN LOVE with this curling iron. My hair is SUPER long and it usually takes me quite some time to curl both back, front, and both sides. With this amazing KQC Swirl Curling Iron- it took me less than 15 minutes to get beautiful, luxurious curls that lasted all day!

It has the clamp on the curler, so it’s easy to grab your hair with it- without having to select such small strands. With other curling irons whether they had the clamp or not, I’d end up having to select smaller parts of my hair or the heat wouldn’t radiate through the entire strand.

My hands were always comfortable while using this. Usually I get cramps and want to stop half way through with regular curling irons. This is designed with YOU in mind. It has an amazing comfort handle so there were absolutely no cramps!

I love that it doesn’t damage the cuticle of the hair, and helps lock in moisture. My hair was frizz free, looked AND felt amazing, and held all day long.

The curling process was quick, so that’s a huge plus. Now instead of waiting to do my hair until after I take my son to school, I can do it before. I always had such a hard time before! NOT NOW! I am in LOVE with this curling iron.

No worries about this not reaching all the way up. After the curling iron heated up (about 1-2 minutes) it was already at 410*.

I love the details on the curling rod. See how the ridges on the curling iron look? It seems to grip the hair better, creating a more thorough curl then the stainless steel barrels of other irons. Other irons wouldn’t grip as well and my hair would just slide right through!

I love that it has a dial thermometer on it, right beside the on/off switch. I can adjust how low or how high I want the temp to be before or after I plug it in. The handle is amazing! Unlike any other curler- it has a swirling handle. Making it not only easy to flip the hair out but it also helps create awesome amazing ringlets and waves.

 

I love that you can also purchase FIE Iron Holder $14.99 and KQC Thermal Shine. The Iron Holder attaches to the wall and holds your iron just right so that is within your reach when you need it. Review:Sleep2o Pillow

I was recently sent a Sleep20 Water Pillow for review. I was excited to see how it would stand up to my oh-so-amazing pillow  with a bamboo insert that I have been sleeping with all year. I absolutely love that thing!

I have been struggling with severe Scoliosis for about 3 years now. I have a HUGE bone that is right in the middle of my neck. It is a lot bigger than the others and can become very painful. Especially if I read a lot, work on the computer, or try and sew.

So my pillow has to provide that extra needed comfort that I can’t get through the day. This pillow really caught my eye because it has an inner water chamber that proportions itself to every head and neck.

When I got this, I filled up the pillow with water (it comes with the attachment necessary to do so). I was afraid it might leak and my whole bed would become soaked! It didn’t though. All the water stayed inside, no leaking.

That night when I went to bed, I carefully laid my head on the pillow. Anxious yet nervous at the same time. I wasn’t sure how it was going to feel. I was immediately impressed. The water instantly molded to my head and neck. It cradled it and kept me from straining my neck from having a too firm or too soft pillow.

I loved the fact that I could adjust the firmness by how much water I put in it. More water= more firmness, Less Water= Less Firm. The water in the pillow is regular tap water, and should be changed out twice a year!

The water is kept in a chamber on the bottom of the pillow with padding over the top and then the cotton fabric outer layer. The water is in a chamber that is engineered for soundless use. The outside of the pillow is made with 100% cotton fabric.

I noticed when I woke up the next morning- I noticed that my neck didn’t hurt as bad. I didn’t have a headache (which I usually do). AND I felt better and more refreshed. Like I’d gotten more sleep with less thrashing and rolling around!

Review: Thermaderm Anti-aging Lip Complex

I absolutely despise having dry lips. I can’t stand it when I feel like they are going to start peeling or breaking open, so inside my purse is a cosmetic bag filled with different chapsticks and lip balms to help cure me of lip dryness.

It Is so hard to come by a worthy blanket these days. One that isn’t only adorable, but will keep the kids warm and have an extremely great quality to go with it. I’ve gotten several blankets that CLAIM to be extremely soft, have excellent quality, and keep the kids toasty. No blanket that has came through our household has stood up to the test like Minky Couture.

I stay FREEZING almost all the time. I can be found inside (even with the heater going) fully dressed with hoodies and sweaters on all the time. I’m pretty sure it’s because I am so small, but I just can’t handle the cold weather.
