Beauty Review: TRῡHAIR Volumizing Style Shapers Hair Rollers 23pc Kit

I was excited to be able to work with TruHair! I was looking through their website and was wowed that the products are build around building volume or covering the grays! I ended up choosing the TRῡHAIR Volumizing Style Shapers Hair Rollers 23pc Kit.



I had been on the lookout for some rollers, and was leaning towards hot rollers. The description on these said that they self stick, and that they create tremendous volume and lift without the heat. SO, I was excited to give it a try!


I had to practice a couple times to get it right because my hair is so long and layered, but they do add volume and curl if you set them right. You have to roll them tightly to get them to set in place. I do have to add bobbypins to some of them, but I think it’s because my hair is long and the rollers are velcro material.


I spray my hair with a heat protectant before rolling my hair in these rollers. I let them sit for a minute and then I take my blowdryer and heat my hair up with the rollers in it, and then follow with Shielo Volumizing Hair Spray!

I leave them in for 30-45 minutes while I do my skincare routine and put on my makeup. When I’m done with all that, I take these out and am truly amazed that they worked so well without heat and without anything to hold them in.

If you do feel like they are coming lose, I feel like it’s helpful to place a shower cap over the rollers so they stay in place. It’s best to use them with semi-damp hair, and spray mousse or gel before and maybe a blow-dry spray then spray with flexible hold hair spray after.

Beauty Review: Ahava Minerals; Deadsea Algae Rich Foundation & Mineral Botanic Velvet Cream Wash

I have worked with Ahava Minerals before and absolutely LOVED their products, so I couldn’t wait to do it again. Their products are high in quality and are definitely the best in the mineral market today!



This time around I chose 2 products- which are the Ahava Minerals Deadsea Algae Liquid Foundation & Ahava Mineral Botanic Lotus and Chestnut Body Wash.

Lotus & Chestnut Body Wash

I needed a rich, moisture filled body wash to help keep my skin healthy as well as moisturized. Tanning regularly has left my skin a bit on the dry side, and skin holds a tan better if it’s well moisturized.

This is soap-free and made for sensitive skin. I don’t have sensitive skin, I just thought the smell of Lotus Blossoms would be heavenly! This leaves my skin deeply cleansed, smelling wonderful, and extremely soft.

I love the light fragrance that surrounds me while in the bath/shower and the fact that it lingers on my body afterward. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on the smell, and they are HIGHLY surprised when I tell them that I’m not wearing any lotion, body spray, or perfume!



I love the fact that it is so creamy! It looks like a transparent lotion because it’s so rich and creamy. It lathers up very well even though it is a non-soap body wash. It doesn’t take very much at all to get clean, which is a plus. This bottle has lasted me for quite a while already!

It is calming, soothing, and very smoothing to the skin. I love the effect that it has on my skin! The lotus flower extract is what actually calms and soothes the skin.The Chestnut extract is what nourishes the skin! It definitely helps moisturize the dry skin! Even after the first week I could totally tell a difference in how hydrated my skin stays all day now.

Before I was having to apply lotion at least every two-three hours, and now I don’t have to apply lotion at all if I don’t want to. I do though, because I want my skin SUPER moisturized. I have been mixing it up with St. Ives Intensive healing and Calgon Parisian Charm. The St. Ives doesn’t have a scent, but the Calgon smells HEAVENLY!

It is gentle, soaks into the skin very nicely, and rinses off completely. There isn’t any “residue” left that I have to keep rinsing off! My skin has never felt or looked better!

Deadsea Algae Rich Liquid Foundation

The second item I chose was the Ahava Deadsea Algae Rich Liquid Foundation. I have been hooked on this foundation since the first time I used it.



There is no possible way that it could be more flattering or complementary to my skin color. It doesn’t matter if I apply this with a sponge, a brush, or my fingers I always get flawless coverage. It is never streaky and doesn’t ball up now that’s been hitting HIGH humidity here.

This could definitely be mistaken for natural skin (or a second skin) because it isn’t visible. It blends very well. It enhances the natural health of the skin while covering up blemishes, freckles, and redness.


The foundation itself it SO thick and creamy, so it spreads very well. You don’t need very much at ALL! It wears forever too. I can put this on in the morning and by 9 pm it is still there! My skin still looks as fresh as when I applied it!


This is a smoothing foundation without being dry! It isn’t made with any oils or dyes, and contains deadsea minerals. It is made with soft focus technology which looks amazing and it great for the skin.
This allows the natural skin tone to show, and it’s shine free. This doesn’t give a made up, shiny look. It’s very matte and I like that. I have naturally oily skin, so I don’t need a foundation adding to my shininess!

It helps even out the skin tone and you only NEED this foundation. You don’t need anything under or over it for extra coverage. The coverage is perfect as it is!

Beauty Review: EOS Lip Balm; Sweet Mint & Summer Fruit

EOS is an amazing company. Their products are well made, low priced, and work extremely well. I love the unique designs and colorful packaging.. so you know when I got sent 2 amazing sphere shaped lip balms to review, I was a happy camper.

I am loving the sphere (egg shape) of these lip balms. They never get lost inside my purse, so I don’t have to spend countless minutes searching and searching like I would if it were a stick lip balm. It’s also easier to hold and has a screw on top!

I was sent the Summer Fruit EOS Lip Balm and the Sweet Mint EOS Lip Balm. The Summer Fruit is in the red/orange egg and the sweet mint is in the blue! They are both amazing, yet so different in how they work.

The texture of these EOS Lip Balms are very high quality. They are very smooth whole not waxy or goopy and they are soft on the lips. The sphere shape of these Lip Balms make it SO much easier to get the entire lip area!

 

Sweet Mint

The Sweet Mint is HANDS DOWN the best chapstick for dry or sunburned lips. Since I’ve been visiting the tanning bed on a regular basis my lips were beginning to get very dry and chapped.

Regular chapstick just wasn’t working out too well. It wasn’t helping. It would moisturize and coat the dryness, but I needed something that would actually TAKE the dryness away and help it instead of just masking it!

This totally did it. This is medicated, so it does help. You can feel the mint in it, and feel a tingle sensation for a second.. ohh, it felt SO awesome! It isn’t a tingle that burns or anything.. just feels cool and you can tell it’s rejuvenating the dry skin. It smells so refreshing and invigorating! It tastes awesome too.

It leaves the lips so healthy and smooth! I couldn’t even wear lipstick before I got this because you could tell my lips were too dry and it was showing through the lipstick. Now you can’t tell and I CAN wear lipstick!

There isn’t any dryness, pain, or chapped lips anymore! This had my lips renewed and back to new in just 2 short days! How amazing is that?

Summer Fruit

I LOVE the smell and taste of this! It’s a mixture of strawberry, blueberry and peach. Can you say YUM? It is so delicious tasting and smelling!

I love that these are 95% organic and do NOT contain ANY petroleum at ALL. So you get a nice moisture to the lips without any of the greasiness that comes with having petroleum as an ingredient.

Instead it contains Shea Butter and Jojoba Oils which are all natural and natural smoothers, soothers, and moisturizers! Great picks EOS! If you are looking for a SHINY lip balm, then this isn’t for you! This is to help your lips become HEALTHY and moisturized. I don’t like the shine chapsticks myself. I would rather my skin be healthy in itself, not shiny! That’s what lip gloss is for in my opinion!

These are my favorite lip balms out of my collection, and let me tell you- I have a VAST collection of lip balms and chapsticks! They are just SO well made and last forever!

Beauty Review: Godefroy Heated Eyelash Curler & Mascara Warmer

For decades, hairstylists have been using Godefroy to effectively cover the most resistant gray hair on brows, beards, mustaches and side burns.  From this foundation we have been able to deliver exceptional products with proven results to salons and spas.

So, I was excited to get to work with them! They have MORE than just eyebrow colors and shapers. I got to choose 2 products, which I will tell you about below.

Heated Eyelash Curler

This is the Godefroy Heated Eyelash Curler. This is a very MUCH needed tool. It’s what all the makeup artists use to create beautiful lashes! You can now WAVE goodbye to the traditional eyelash curler that can/might pinch your eyelids and make your eyelashes fall out!

This can be used with or without mascara, and can also be used before or after you’ve applied your mascara or both. It’s comfortable to use, because it never has to touch your skin. I love the way it leaves a natural curve to the eyelashes instead of a crimped look that the “squeeze” curlers leave.

It only takes about 20 seconds for each eyelash to curl, which is awesome. It also is great for perfecting your mascara. If your mascara ever clumps up or makes your eyelashes stick together, the heat separates the lashes and straightens out the clumps.

It’s very easy to use, and only takes a second to heat up. The bottom part slides out, where you insert one AAA battery (doesn’t come with the battery).

It’s slim, compact, and portable. It’s about the size of a pen, so it will fit right inside your makeup bag for on the go touch-ups or doing your makeup after you get to wherever you’re going.

It’s an excellent quality product for under $10, how can you beat that?

The Mascara Warmer

The second item I chose was the Godefroy Mascara Warmer. This is an amazing product for giving you that much needed and desired perfect mascara application free of clumping!

Before receiving this bad boy, I ALWAYS stuck my mascara under hot running water or stuck it under high heat with my blow-dryer to warm the mascara! Warming mascara before you use it is like melting butter before cooking—just absolute PERFECTION!

Now there is absolutely NO need for that! This plugs right in and has an off/on switch right on the back near the cord. It’s easy to use, and heats up super quickly!

As soon as you turn on the ON switch, the mascara warmer lights up blue. This is so you don’t forget that it is turned on, in case you just go ahead and leave it plugged up.

This is when it’s in the off position. I love that there is a spot on the right to place and hold the mascara when it isn’t in use! The best part about it is that it can be used with ANY brand of mascara!

In use, you just place the mascara inside the part that is lit up, and flip the on switch. Wait 30 seconds and you’re done, and it’s ready for use! I usually just plug this up, turn it on, and stick my mascara inside while I’m doing my primer, concealer, and foundation and it’s all the way heated by the time I get done

What I love most about the mascara warmer is that my mascara goes on SO smoothly. There aren’t any clumps, my eyelashes don’t stick together, and it lasts ALL day!

It helps my eyelashes to hold a curl better, which is amazing for me because I have SUPER long eyelashes! I also KNOW for a fact that this helps mascara in it’s shelf life. It extends it from 3 months to at LEAST 5 months!

My Review


The fourth of July is right around the corner.. are you ready to surprise your guests? WITH WHAT? With some new recipes to get the party started of course.

This book is amazing. I love how organized it is. It’s separated by alcohol. You can just flip to the part of the book that has whatever alcohol you have on hand, or want to drink that day/night.
It saves so much time by separating it like this, because you aren’t having to flip through each page and read the ingredients- they are already right there for you!

This book isn’t just going to be great for the Fourth of July, but for all year round. Any kind of party; birthdays, anniversaries, house parties… If you’re looking for an amazing variety of jello shots, this book is it! There are over 300 recipes for Jello shots and they are all different!

I love that this book also contains conversation starters, trivia, and truth/dare questions to get the ball rolling and party started. This book is filled with these. Almost every single page has something like this on it!

Dare: Drink something from the belly button of a random player.
Truth: If you were invisible, what is the first thing you would do?
NOW.. onto the shots!



I am in awe at the very beginning of the book. It’s what every shot seeker needs. It begins with the liquid measurement conversion. This way if you would like to make a bigger amount than is called for in the recipe, you know how to do this without messing stuff up!


The shots are categorized by what type of liquor inside the recipe. The recipes are very easy to follow, They are simple, short, and right to the point. They are detailed even though they are short..

On each page there are 3 different recipes, and they are all separated by those little jello shots you see in the picture. The recipes have a great variety of Jello shots.

From simple recipes (Puppy Love) to the more detailed (Long Island Ice Tea Jello Shot). They are all made using standard Jello mixes in various flavors. This book is awesome for a quick jello shot mix!
The names of these jello shots are just so funny, unique, and eye-catching. You’ll have people requesting more and more—just to try them out for themselves.

I love that you can just make whatever jello shot by what alcohol you have on hand. You don’t have to go out and by anything “special” for them. Even if you have to buy any of the ingredients, they aren’t expensive and can be found at your local grocery store!

This would also be a great book to have on hand for girls’ night in, bachelorette parties, and just random get togethers. You’ll have to make the shots in advance, but OH what fun you’ll have!

Daydream:
3 oz. pkg Pineapple Jello
1 c. boiling water
1/2. c cold water
1/2 Amaretto

Mix Gelatin with hot water until dissolved (approx. 2 minutes). Add cold water, stir. Let sit until steam dissipates (no more than 3 minutes). Add alcohol, stir thoroughly (1-2 minutes). Pour mixture into your chosen Jello Shot containers. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm. Makes 8-10 2 oz. Jello Shots

Bermuda Triangle:
3 oz. pkg Orange Jello

1/2 c. cold water
1/4 cup Spiced Rum

The instructions at the bottom- mixing and such are all the same. The only thing that differs in the book is the alcohol that you put in it and how many shots that they make. The more stuff that it includes, the more shots it produces. Some of the recipes produce 18-20 shots.
