Balmers’ Monkey Balm Review

clip_image001[7]

Monkey Balm is organic, all natural, and cruelty free.

I have a skin disease called “Keratosis Pilaris” which is nicknamed chicken skin for a reason. My thighs can get pretty dried out and wearing jeans (the jeans rubbing against my thighs) bring out these tiny red bumps everywhere. They kind of look like tons of ingrown hairs (which is what I thought it was forever!)

When I heard of Monkey Balm, I thought I would give it a try on my dried out legs. If I can keep them moisturized enough, the jeans can’t rub away the skin around my hair follicles causing these “bumps.”

The bottle it comes in reminds me of a giant chap/lip stick tube. It is easy to roll out (winding the bottle up causing it to peek out a little more) and extremely easy to apply. It’s very creamy and moisturizing. It lasts longer on the skin than any other “cream”, “lotion”, OR “balm.”

Sea Buckthorn oil has been used for centuries because of its healing properties. It contains Omega 3, 6, 9 and the very rare omega 7. Omega 7 is vital in rebuilding healthy skin cells.

I am extremely glad to report that this has made a big difference in my leg appearance. I don’t know how many times I have wanted so badly to break out my shorts, but DON’T because of the embarrassment. I was supposed to let my legs air out, and only felt comfortable doing so in my own home.

There have been other products that have worked for me, but not so quickly and not as cheap either. I was prescribed Retinol A cream by my doctor a year ago and it ended up being a very small tube for $80. I was like “WHAT?”

AND- I couldn’t be in direct sunlight when I used it either—! Now I can apply this at night after getting out of the shower, before getting into bed. AND in the morning when I wake up to get ready before I take my son to school.

Skirts, Shorts, and Bikini’s are now back IN for me. I am SO happy! I have been trapped by this skin disease since I was about 12. I didn’t even figure out what it was until about 2 or 3 years ago when I looked it up on the web.

It said that almost 50% of Americans have it, and don’t know what it is. They think they have ingrown hairs, a rash, or are allergic to something. I went through all 3. I thought I was allergic to tide, body washes, lotions, or something! I thought maybe I had extremely sensitive skin.

IF you or someone you know has this- and aren’t sure what they are or how to treat it—MONKEY BALM is the best treatment! I have been down this road for awhile now. Trying so many different products. Having a peace of mind and comfort for $15.95 is nice. =)

This is also great to use for dry feet, eczema, extremely dried out skin, sun burns, rashes, diaper rashes, scrapes, burns and more..

ABOUT Monkey Balm:

I am the mother of 3 wonderful boys, each with terribly dry-skin and eczema.  They would scratch that itchy dry skin to the point it would bleed.  Living in the Mountain West didn’t help either, with the super dry climate and extreme temperature swings.

After years of trying every over-the-counter and prescription cream under the sun to help my poor little Monkeys, I found out about Sea Buckthorn Oil.  It’s used in many luxury Asian and European skin care products and natural skin treatments due to its unique power to heal damaged skin and protect it from the elements.

We (my husband and I) started experimenting with simple, effective methods to deliver this miraculous oil to the sensitive skin of our kids.  After a few years of trial and error, we finally nailed it.  Monkey Balm is the culmination of many different formulas and application methods.  It’s the perfect combination of an effective, “no-stingy” formula, the main ingredient being sea buckthorn fruit and seed oils, and a simple, easy to use application “stick” that lasts longer than any cream or salve I have ever tried.

It is of utmost importance to me and my family to use only the most natural, safe, chemical-free products and food.  That is why the ingredients in Monkey Balm are 100% natural.  The sea buckthorn oils are 100% CERES certified organic and come from a sustainable, fair-trade source in the Himalayan mountains.

Though this product has been specially designed to be mild and safe for kids – as young as newborns – it’s great for adults as well.   We use it for run-of-the-mill dry skin, cracked heels and knuckles, scrapes and burns, and even insect bites.

If Monkey Balm works for you and your kids as it has for my family, you will be utterly amazed at the results and your “Monkeys” will consider you a miracle-worker.
