Review: TriMi The Interchangeable Tank Top

clip_image001

TriMi Tank is an amazing invention. After having an "A-ha" moment while catching up on back issues of The Shark Tank on Hulu, I knew I had to give this amazing TriMi Tank a try. The inventors, two energetic go-getting mom's (who both have 3 kids) just make you want to root "Snatch that up Sharks!!". TriMi Tank offers tanks and dresses with interchangeable, removable straps.

The TriMi Tank comes with two standard sets of straps on every TriMi, which are the small black beaded one and the chain. With each purchase, you get to choose another set of straps at no charge. You can purchase more for only $5 for a set. These women thought of everything, looking through the different straps the possibilities are endless. I loved the concept.

There are tons and tons of different colors, fabrics, and ribbons. This would make it perfect for wearing to your son/daughters football/basketball games. You can mix and match them as well, so live it up!

When mine arrived, I was SO ecstatic to give it a try. I absolutely loved the way the tank fit. It feels like a second skin (I HATE loose fitting tanks) so I was glad that this one fit flawlessly. There is nothing like having a tank top that you can change in a snap and be on your way.

I loved that it was SO simple to change out the different straps, there wasn't any fighting trying to get them snapped. It was easy as pie because of the big lobster claw clasps that they come with. I loved that no matter what look I was looking for, it could be achieved. I can't wait for summer to get here to be able to put them to test out in the heat! Since it's winter, I've been spicing them up wearing it with button-up shirts with the buttons open.

I love the comfort of the tank, it's easy to forget that it's there. It doesn't itch or bunch up. It tucks in nicely, so if you wear your shirts tucked in a lot- this is perfect for that. There isn't anything that can't be worn with these. I've worn them with shorts around the house, jeans, dress pants, and even mini skirts, sweats, and yoga pants! The black of the tank makes sure that it goes with ANYTHING!

They even have a dress with the same concept- that you can change out the straps! I love this as well. It could be a work dress with a little cardigan during the day- and then exchange the straps and go to a party that night! Absolute genius! I give the Tank and the straps an A+.

About TriMi:

TriMi Tanks were created by Nikki Bilski and Lindsay Johnson, both “hockey moms” of three kids, who first thought of the TriMi Tank concept at a 6am hockey practice!  Hailing from Pittsburgh, these ladies developed this mere thought into a fun and unique product idea!

According to the official TriMi Tank website, “after extensive trial and error, research, late nights and lots of laughs,” they were overjoyed to present their creation to the world!

TriMi Tanks, which were featured on the ABC Reality Show, “Shark Tank” (starring another Pittsburgher, Mark Cuban) are plain tank tops that have interchangeable straps! Their website says, “Imagine having one shirt that can have UNLIMITED looks!  TriMi Tank is exactly that.  Wear how you feel, everyday.”

It goes on to describe the products: “Each TriMi Tank comes with 3 interchangeable sets of straps — wear them together or separately. A fun double link chain and black beads accompany every shirt, YOU get to pick your favorite third choice! Endless optional straps are also available for purchase to create even more looks. Go glam, chic, or playful — YOU decide!”
