About Me: Jessica’s Journey

Hi, I’m Jessica—a small-town girl with big dreams, a heart full of grit, and a passion for helping others. I was born and raised on a tobacco and chicken farm in rural Kentucky, where I learned the value of hard work, gratitude, and the beauty of simple living. Life wasn’t always easy, but those challenges shaped me into the resilient, empathetic, and determined person I am today.

When I was seven, my world changed forever. My dad passed away in a motorcycle accident, leaving me to grow up faster than most kids my age. As the oldest sibling, I became a rock for my family—raising my little sister and supporting my mom as she navigated her grief. Though the loss was immense, it taught me the power of love, family, and perseverance.

By high school, I had found my rhythm—balancing schoolwork with a passion for mentorship and creativity. I joined the journalism class and yearbook committee, discovering my love for storytelling and design. These experiences helped me see the world through a creative lens and fueled my knack for capturing meaningful moments.

I also became a mentor in the Big Sister, Big Brother Program, where I was matched with an incredible little brother. Every other Tuesday, I’d meet him at his school to hang out, play, and give him a space to feel valued and heard. It wasn’t just about being there for him—it was about realizing the joy that comes from helping someone else thrive.

In addition, I became a career mentor, working alongside an elementary school teacher in her classroom every morning. Those hours taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of being a positive influence in a child’s life. Looking back, I realize those experiences shaped my commitment to standing up for the underdog and making a difference wherever I can.

At 16, I met the love of my life, and by 18, I was a mom. My first child, Aidan, was born prematurely at just 24 weeks, weighing less than two pounds. He’s my miracle, my fighter, and my constant reminder that life’s greatest challenges often lead to the biggest blessings. Now 17, Aidan is a guitar-playing, truck-loving country boy with a quiet confidence and a heart of gold.

Two years later, I welcomed my daughter, Adisyn, an Aquarius with an artistic soul. She’s a painter, a dreamer, and someone who brings light and love wherever she goes. Watching both of my kids grow into such strong, kind, and passionate individuals is the greatest reward of my life.

As for me, I’ve always been a seeker—of truth, purpose, and connection. Diagnosed with ADHD and hyperlexia, I see the world through a unique lens, constantly finding patterns and cutting through the noise. While this has fueled my curiosity and creativity, it’s also made me an advocate for others, particularly those who feel overlooked or underestimated.

Today, I’m a wife, a mom, and a dreamer who refuses to settle for anything less than authenticity. Whether I’m standing up for the wronged, tackling a DIY project, or nurturing my kids’ creative ambitions, I’m here to celebrate the journey—messy parts and all.

Thank you for being here. I hope my story inspires you to embrace your strength, honor your roots, and chase what matters most. Because no matter where you start, you have the power to create something beautiful.
