My Review*

I am in love with this scent and everything about it. It is so fresh, intriguing, and intoxicating. Defined as a ‘loveable, snuggle-worthy fragrance’, Thinking of Love™ Eau de Parfum is a rose, floral fragrance created to inspire new moments and memories. The bottle is absolutely beautiful with a compact design, beautiful script, and a removable heart charm so you can add it to a bracelet or necklace if you want!

I love the mixture of these amazing ingredients and the scent they give off. It’s floral yet not overly sweet thanks to the sandalwood and musk additives. It has a sexy woodsy smell that captivates me. I think this is one of my top five favorites of all time, I wish it weren’t a limited edition.

The Sandalwood and Velvet Musk mix extremely well with the pink honeysuckle, French Violet, and Spring Freesia. I can’t smell any mandarin, but the scent of this is very sexy and good for day or night wear. I could actually make this a signature perfume in my life, I love it that much.

It’s light, not overpowering, yet very sensual. I can’t believe how long the scent lasts too, especially when sprayed directly on clothing. I picked my clothes out of the hamper to wash them 2 days after wearing and spraying and the scent was still there, fresh as ever. That’s incredible.

SoftSoap Holiday Body Wash Collection (Limited Edition 2014)

softsoap

The items mentioned in this post were sent from Colgate-Palmolive for review purposes only; all opinions are completely honest.

Softsoap has three new limited edition Holiday inspired body washes; Alpine Mint Frost, Venetian Vanilla Spice, and Parisian Berry Bliss. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love decking out my house in Holiday scents, so I was super excited to try these body washes. They double as bathroom decor, haha.

As far as lather goes, these are all nice and creamy. They make amazing bubble baths as well, because they bubble up so well. I can squirt just a tad bit under hot running water and the entire tub fills with luxurious bubbles. The scents fill my bathroom and leave thoughts of a Winter Wonderland behind.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Softsoap and their variety of products. Not only do they have too many that I LOVE, but they are ALL affordable. Not to mention that all the body washes leave me feeling super clean, my skin nourished & moisturized, and not sticky or too dry.

Softsoap® Alpine Mint Frost

From Softsoap- Lose yourself in the beauty of winter with our limited edition Alpine Mint Frost body wash. It’s invigorating scent will leave your skin soft and smooth all winter long.

This body wash is definitely embracing the magic of the winter season. When I opened the cap, visions of candy canes and peppermint sticks floated through my mind. I really like this creamy, fresh peppermint scent- it’s definitely very Christmasy. It isn’t too overpowering but the scent lingers.

I’ve never smelled anything that was scented this close to a real peppermint. It doesn’t have that overpowering Bengay mint smell that some mint scented products do. It’s scented with “Cool Winter Mint”. It’s just sad that this is a limited edition, because you can’t help but think of Christmas trees with hanging peppermint sticks and candy canes. :D

This is very relaxing and yet rejuvenating at the same time. This is perfect for bubble baths too! Light a candle, fill up the bathtub, and relax. I detect a light scent after I get out of the shower, but it fades pretty quickly. With peppermint scents, that’s pretty amazing. I don’t want to smell like a giant peppermint stick long after I’ve rinsed off.

The consistency is amazing. Not too thick yet not too thin and watered down. Produces amazing amounts of bubbles, and the peppermint smell is so refreshing.

Softsoap® Parisian Berry Bliss

From Softsoap: Celebrate the spirit of the season with Softsoap® brand limited edition Parisian Berry Bliss body wash. This moisturizing formula leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, while the festive scent of red winter berries leaves you ready to enjoy winter.

This body wash is an invigorating, delicious blend of winter berries. It smells just like holly and juniper berries. Very sweet and lingering, I love it. It is very fruity and fresh, makes me happy every time I use it. My kids love this as a bubble bath, as do I. It’s very refreshing!

I totally wish they had a lotion to go with this, I’d so buy it. This could be used in the fall season as well, the berry scent is amazing and not too overpowering.

Softsoap® Venetian Vanilla Spice

Embrace the magic of the winter season with Softsoap® brand limited edition Venetian Vanilla Spice body wash. Let the invigorating scent of Sweet Vanilla & Spices infuse your shower to leave you with soft and smoother skin all winter long.

I am a HUGE vanilla scent fan as you all know. This is almost at the top of my list of favorites though. This is sweet, creamy, and reminds me of baking sugar cookies. The spices aren’t too strong, just very subtle. I absolutely LOVE this and it’s staying power. It smells incredible, but not too foody like some vanilla scents tend to have.

This layers very well with the Softsoap Vanilla Brown Sugar lotion and spray.

Get them: These are all available at your nearest Wal-Mart for under $4.

SOHO Beauty: Check Meow-T Front Pocket Weekender

SOHO

Disclosure: Items mentioned in this post were for review purposes only. Opinions are completely honest and 100% my own.

Travel is easy and super trendy with SOHO Beauty’s Check Meow-T Weekender Bag. I love SOHO Beauty’s edgy, unique, and sharply chic designs. I have an endless collection of beauty & makeup supplies and appreciate being able to take them along.

soho1 soho2

I’ve tried other travel/organization bags, but SOHO is my absolute favorite. Nothing compares to the quality and design of SOHO. SOHO is known for their mix of fashion-forward, hot, trendy design choices and mixed materials. Whether you’re looking for animal prints or bold colors- SOHO is definitely something you should check out.

               soho leopard 2

I was sent the Check Meow-T weekender, which I absolutely adore. This bag is a classic leopard print punk style bag for Leader of the Pack status. This bag is hands-down the BEST makeup organization bag I’ve ever owned (and I’ve owned my fair share). Not only the design makes it an A+, but the fact that the inside can easily be wiped down.

soho leopard

This weekender is the go-to way to travel, and the only way to travel in my opinion. I’ve had so many bags fail me that it was nice to have one I can depend on. Makeup can be a very messy problem should it spill, and having the ability to just wipe down the insides with a wash-cloth makes it 10x better. I don’t have to wash the entire bag and wonder if the vinyl is going to split like I’ve done with other cosmetic bags.

3 6 9

I am LOVING the design as I said before. If I had to customize a weekender, I would make this bag for sure. I am super into animal prints, and I love the added studs and zipper. They give it a more modernized punk/edge look that I like. The studs and zipper accentuate the bag, making it Not to mention the zipper is super amazing. It is larger than most zippers and doesn’t snag or hesitate EVER.

Unzip to reveal one clear-zip pocket perfect for full-size bottles as well as larger compacts and one slip pocket ideal for smaller necessities. It has a front pocket that allows for easy access to frequently used items, and durable handles for easy toting. Made of easy-wipe poly-fiber and metal studs.

7  10

I am in love with this bag. I don’t even use anything at home other than this bag. Why should I? I just keep my essentials in this bag. Everything is easy to see, easy to sort, and right where I need it when the time comes.

                          8

The handles are super thick and just the right size. It isn’t too wide or too thin. Fits right on my shoulder without any hassles. It doesn’t slip off, which happens when straps are too thick. It’s comfortable and doesn’t cut into my shoulders either, which makes it an A+ in my book! There are absolutely NO cons about this bag!

It's the cat's meow! SOHO's weekender bag is just what you need to store all of your toiletries and make-up essentials on a long weekend trip. The bag has a convenient carrying handle, a full zip closure and compartments with zippers on the inside to safely store your items.

Japan’s Hottest Beauty & Fashion Trends #TsunaguJapan

Japans Hottest
Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Tsunagu Japan

Japanese fashion is known for whirlwind of continuously changing trends. Fashion and beauty are a way to express our individuality and Japan has it on lock-down. They have some very distinctive and amazing trends that are downright stunning! Fashion and beauty in Japan is more than just simply making a statement, it’s a lifestyle all on it’s own. They have fun with it and I can’t help but love it.

Makeup & Beauty*

makeup makeup1

I’ve always thought Japanese girls were amazing with their makeup techniques. The latest trend has been to post their before and after pictures. Their before being “nude no-makeup” pictures. Makeup is an artistry in itself and they are amazing at it. They perfectly blend their makeup so they look absolutely natural while also looking fresh and beautiful.

gadget GADGET2

Can you say super-amazing beauty gadgets? There are so many super-tech James Bond looking beauty tools here and they all do some pretty fabulous stuff. Gear up!

#1 is for your eyes- You lay down and put this on your eyes. Warm steam moisturizes the skin around your eyes while the tiredness is taken care of by a strong rhythm that pulses.

#2 takes care of cleaning, moisturizing, and pore reduction. It uses electric properties to remove the dirt from pores. It has a micro-patting button that “pats” your skin down. Next is the moisturize mode. Then the last mode which has a cooling effect. It’s said the pores tighten instantly. Sounds pretty intriguing.

Hair*

Try them today! Popular hairstyles among Japanese women aren’t so different from anywhere else, but I think Japanese girls look super cute with short hair. Short hairstyles are just as trendy as long or medium, but the medium side-swept bang is uber-popular. I don’t usually go for bangs, I look weird with bangs (I think so anyway) but I would totally do a side-swept bang.

They are now doing bobs and bangs for medium-length hair, which is really pretty and definitely suits their face features. Light brown hair color is also very popular, along with perming/curling the tips/ends of their hair to give it a wavy/soft/feminine look.

hairlong hairlong2
The longer-hairstyles are mostly a concoction of everything mentioned above; waved/permed ends, bangs, and dyed hair.

Fashion

Fairy Fashion or also known as fairy kei fashion. Fairy Kei fashion consists of an assortment of beautiful pastel colors, dazzling bright bows, and super adorable accessories. The fashion trend includes items that are cute and dainty. This is exactly what comes to mind when you picture fairies; especially gorgeous anime fairies. Hair color is even dyed pastel hues, which is absolutely beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it!

Fairy Fashion couples pastel colors with other light colors or an off white, which is very pretty. The lighter colors highlight the pastel making them more feminine and girly. It also merges pastel colors with lace & tulle together too, such as with picture #1.’' Fairy Fashion is also a cute combination of pastel colored shorts and long summer cardigans or knitted tops. With the pastel shorts they usually wear textured stockings/fishnets.

BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE is a uniquely designed bag that is constructed with a ton of small triangles. They are a line of bags and pouches with the theme of “shapes made by chance.” They are foldable, flexible, light, and super intriguing. I love this concept. I’ve never seen a bag designed like this before, and I love all the color varieties.

Hello Kitty was launched in 1974, produced by the Japanese company Sanrio. Hello Kitty is part of the popular culture trend in Japan- kawaii. Hello Kitty just celebrated their 40th anniversary, and Randa *A Shoe Company* collaborated to make these super-cute Hello Kitty Shoe Collection.

Boot trends are skyrocketing these days in Japan, especially in the winter months. UGG mouton boots are a This Japanese winter must have item : the UGG mouton boots. These are popular in Japan every year, just like they are here in America. From the classic UGGS to the new colored, metallic, velvet and studded collections- UGGS are just priceless in any fall or winter wardrobe. Those red velvet would especially be adorable on Christmas, huh?

Japanese women love UGG boots because there are so many varieties and colors. There are so many different looks that can come with just changing up the coloring of your shoes. Whether you’d like to wear darker colors and a bright boot, purse, and jewelry- or jeans and a neutral color boot. I love what they’ve done with the above picture combination, it’s truly captivating with the multicolored clothing mixed with a metallic UGG. I seriously want to give that a try! with some leggings this winter!
Which is your favorite trend?
