Smead has developed the most genius organizing system I think I’ve ever witnessed. Erasable file folders? Count me in! I have to have folders to keep my thoughts organized about what I need to do, what’s already been done, posts, books, kids homework, and all that. These are reusable so not only are they eco-friendly but it saves a ton of time and money.

Smead Erasable SuperTab File Folders are amazing. They have a special erasable surface that makes them reusable. I can write directly on the tab with a permanent marker, and edit or erase as needed. The marker can easily be erased with any standard white eraser.



Being able to erase permanent marker is amazing. It’s very eco-friendly. Instead of tossing old files when you’re done, you can just edit them. I love the fact that it doesn’t leave behind any messy smudges, so it looks brand new. Less file folders tossed in the garbage, and more money for other things! Win-win!



It’s also different from other folders because there is more writing room. For someone who writes larger naturally, it was a relief. I was tired of writing very small and not being able to see it. I could never just glance over and see what I needed, I had to search. Now I can easily see what I’ve written because I can get away with writing bigger.

The folders are great quality and very sturdy. They aren’t flimsy and can take a lot of scuffing. They aren’t going to tear up easily, so they last longer! 24 come in each pack, so it’s definitely a better bargain!

Smead Erasable FasTab Hanging File Folders


Smead Erasable FasTab Hanging Folders are just like the regular erasable file folders, but these hang inside file boxes or filing cabinets. For me, it’s easier to organize certain stuff in different file boxes. I got some decorated ones (one small, one big, and a magazine holder) for cheap and keep organized like that.
          
If I don’t keep everything sorted, I easily become disorganized. Papers, papers, and more papers everywhere. My office seems to get swallowed by papers every once in a while, which is why I bought the file boxes.

You can write straight on the tab and then edit it later. Totally reusable, which I love. I love the bright colors, makes the folders stand out 10x more. Add a little spice to YOUR office supplies, they are amazing.

The quality of the folders are strong and well designed. They are strong and durable, they aren’t cheaply made. You’ll be using them for a VERY long time. They also come with a bigger writing space than other hanging file folders. Being able to edit or erase something completely on a file folder just makes me happy!

No more plastic inserts. I don’t even think I ever even wrote on them most of the time. I’d have to spend a ton of time flipping through each folder to see what it contained. I could never get the paper back into the plastic insert right (or write small enough for that tiny piece of paper). This is a work at home dream! Organizing at it’s best.

Working from home has it’s obvious perks; I can work my schedule around my kids, I have unlimited access to coffee, and I can work in my pajamas if I want. I can set my own hours and work at my own pace. There are also hassles that come with working from home though, the fact that I was having a hard time staying organized.

I never seemed to get the time to organize my office, and stuff just kept piling up. When I realized how much time I was spending looking for items, I quickly reconsidered and made time.

Disorganization was wrecking havoc on my productivity time, I was spending too much time sorting through stuff to find what I needed. I need that time to work, not search for stuff.
Post-It definitely helps keep me organized.

I’m not spending time thinking of what needs to be done, I can glance to my right and already know. It helps with productivity and keeping distractions at bay.


You can stick this anywhere, yet it comes off just as easy as it goes on. No sticky particles or a mess left behind on your walls or refrigerator. You can stick this horizontally or vertically, whichever you prefer. This is perfect for chore charts, meal planning, kids homework and activity schedules, doctor appointments.. etc.

I love that even though it’s a thin sheet, the dry-erase markers come all the way off. Usually with thin sheets, the markers smear or don’t come all the way off. I can start a new week every week without the worry that it’s going to turn into one giant mess.



Post-it® Grip Board helps me keep my important papers from being discarded. They aren’t just laying around in random spots, stuff being piled on top of them. They are in full view so I don’t miss an appointment or meeting with the kids’ teachers.


The grip board can be mounted anywhere, I added mine right beside my calendar. It has extra durable adhesive Command™ picture hanging strips. The board can be mounted horizontally or vertically, whichever works best for you. I just wanted to use it for quick reminders, so I didn’t need it for larger papers.

It’s very useful and helps me stay on top of things I may have otherwise forgotten. I need to write myself little reminders every now and then. We all know the “I’ll remember that later, I don’t have to write it down” thoughts NEVER work out so well. That’s why I am glad to have this little cutie at my fingertips!


The Post-it® Binder Tabs keep me organized for obvious reasons. Of course, there are other binder tabs, but they can’t compare to these. The others are non-sticky, where these are sticky back. They can be put straight on paper, in a book to keep a place, or in your binder.

I used these in my blog binder to separate the different subjects I write about; blogging, beauty, D.I.Y. I can now easily flip to that part of my binder to write down ideas as they come. I don’t have random papers inside that might not ever be seen otherwise. Everything looks so amazing and is grouped accordingly! Genius.


I also added these to my file folders. This was a very easy and inexpensive way to sort the different ideas I have as well. That was my main problem, I had papers EVERYWHERE. I would get an idea and jot it in my notebook and then forget all about it.

Decor Friendly (Aesthetically Pleasing) Power Cord Ideas

When people finally decide that it is time to do something about the rat’s nest of cables that accumulates in many homes and businesses, they do not have to spend a lot of money or time in order to get everything under control. Whether they are looking to stow their power cord tangle-free in a cabinet or hide that ugly wire spaghetti that they keep kicking under their desk, there are several aesthetically pleasing ideas that people can use for a more organized home.

Use a Wire Basket
Get all those audio, firewire, monitor and USB cords off the floor and under the desk by utilizing a simple basket. This helps users group common cords together while starting to zip tying them at the same time.
When doing this, people should remember to leave a small amount of wiggle room for their cords in case they need to move a few of their components around. Additionally, people who have a component that they need to unplug probably do not want to confine it along with the rest of their cords.

Another great way to organized cords is by using cable drawings. These help people re-imagine their power wirings as a decorative detail in their home. Review: DormCo Canvas Organizer with Mirror

I don’t live in a dorm room, but I live in a small space where it isn’t always such a great idea to try and DO everything near the mirror. The only place there is a mirror in my house is in the small bathroom, so there isn’t anywhere to store my stuff.

I have TONS of shampoo, conditioner, and hair styling tools and products. SO, I had to end up putting them in drawers until I came across the DormCo Canvas Organizer with Mirror. Now I can do my hair  and makeup in my bedroom without having to dig through everything looking for what I need.
