Review: ThinkBaby & ThinkSport Bottles

The 9. Oz Sippy Cup

clip_image001

Thinkbaby's products address the growing concern over toxic chemicals leaching from plastic baby products. Their bottles feature a patented venting system that helps reduce colic. Made from recyclable polypropylene, and free of Bisphenol-A, phthalates and lead. Plus, all their packaging is made with recycled materials so you can feel good about purchasing them!

Features:

  • Worry Free Transport: Travel cap minimizes spillage
  • Reduction of Colic: Patented venting system reduces incidence of gas and spit up. Venting systems have also been shown to reduce the risk of middle ear infections
  • Extra Soft Spout: High grade silicone
  • Dishwasher Safe: Top rack recommended

My Thoughts*

I love how the nipple is soft and flexible, some of the other sippy cups on the market have a hard plastic top that is hard for little mouths to drink out of. This has a very easy to grasp handle, which makes it easy for little hands to grip and tip.

I usually do not let my kids bring their sippy cup into the car because of leaks and spills. Usually while we are waiting for Aidan in the pickup line, Adisyn will get thirsty and I’ll have to reach around and give her a drink of my water.

With the ThinkBaby sippy, I don’t have to worry about leaks or spills. The handles are removable, which makes it easy to break apart and clean every single part of the cup.

I love that this is dishwasher safe as well. I can just put this in with a top load and it comes clean without any specks or grime stuck inside if I don’t feel like washing it by hand.

Buy It: Only $8.49 for the soft nipple sippy cup

It is BPA free, which makes it safe as well as innovatively made! I love that it comes in a bright orange color.!

thinkster - straw bottle - 9oz

We also got the transition straw top. Because my daughter already has grasped the sippy drinking aspect, I thought the straw top would be new and cool for her. She really did like it. It was awesome because we could put it in her diaper bag and take it with us to restaurants and she would be drinking out of a straw just like the rest of the family. Winking smile

BUY IT: The Straw Bottle is available for only $9.99, or you could buy the straw conversion kit for only $3.99

  • Double-walled and vacuum-sealed stainless steel - keeps contents hot or cold for hours

  • Perfect of hot or cold beverages - does not sweat (for cold contents) or burn your hand (for hot contents)

  • Contoured design - makes the bottle easy to hold and visually distinctive from the many, many straight-walled bottles

  • Removable mesh filter - keeps ice from blocking the drinking spout and allows users to conveniently brew tea on the go

  • Unsurpassed testing for material safety - our products undergo rigorous chemical and biologic testing to insure they do not contain toxic chemicals

  • Available sizes: 750ml (25oz) and 350ml (12oz)

  • Available colors: Polished Silver, Pure White, Black, and Yellow

My Thoughts*

All thinksport bottles are super insulated to keep the contents cold or hot for hours. I love that whether I’m jogging, waiting for my son in the pickup line, or having a picnic with the kids- I can always count on the Thinksport bottle to keep my beverage hot or cold!

I can fill the bottle with ice and water, kool aide, or soda and know that if I put this in my purse that it isn’t going to sweat all over my stuff and get it wet. It doesn’t sweat at ALL!

I also love that I can tip it sideways and lay it down inside a lunchbox or lunchpail and it never EVER leaks out! It also contains a wide mouth easy for me to drink out of, or pour my drink into. I never have to worry that the drink is going to come flowing out and spill all down my shirt.

They have also stuck in a little mesh filter thing that keeps the ice from blocking the drink hole. Every other water bottle that I have ever tried—it’s hard to EVEN stick ice inside because of the small mouth spout. With this it not only opens up to where I can add as much or as little ice as I want AND a mesh filter that lets me drink without getting the hole stopped up with ice.

I love the black design with the yellow ring around the top. Everytime I see a design like that I always think about the old cancer survivor bracelets. I love that it also comes in other colors. I am definitely buying the yellow one, and then giving the black one to Adam. !

I loved both of these innovative bottles. ThinkBaby and ThinkSport stay on top of the game of finding not only functional designs, but beautifully designed as well. Winking smile

BUY IT: You can buy this insulated water bottle for only $19.99

Review: Galison Planners

Have you been on the lookout for some amazing planners? Well I’ve located some VERY awesome ones. Not only do they help keep me organized, but they look amazing while doing so.

I ended up choosing two types of planners. The first one is a small pocket planner, while the second one is a weekly organizer. I SOOO love both of these!\

Weekly Organizer

Rosehip Weekly Organizer

I didn’t get this particular design. I got a black one with small geometric designs on it. They don’t have any more left of the one I chose, but I wanted to show you this one.

2012-07-05 14.56.25

When you open it up, it has the weekly planner directly in the middle. On the left side, it has a post it note (regular size) to write notes or to-do lists to yourself such as what to get at the grocery or what cleaning supplies to pick up. It then has 2 very small size post it notes above that. This is to stick on whatever you need so that you don’t forget that it’s very important.

Then there is a mid-sized smaller post it note. I use this to write down important dates or reviews that need to be done. It could also be used to write down play dates or work dates that you can easily see. Then there is the pocket. I love the pocket! I use the pocket for coupons! It has a tie around fastener, so that I know my coupons aren’t going to fall out and spread everywhere in my purse or go flying down the aisles at the grocery store.

This is bigger then a pocket planner, but still small enough that it can fit inside my purse. I LOVE having so many note taking places and places to write very important stuff down that way I will NOT forget. Such as making appointments for the kids or myself.

I am SO in love with this weekly planner. It magnetizes together and keeps me very organized.

  • 240 decorative sticky notes total
  • Weekly planner notepad
  • Reclosable envelope for miscellaneous storage
  • Folding package measures 6-1/2 x 7-3/4 x 3/4" closed
  • Foldover flap with magnetic closure
  • BUY IT: The weekly organizers available in 3 different designs are only $17.

William Morris Morning Garden Pocket Planner

William Morris Morning Garden Pocket Planner

A Galison pocket planner is handy at the desk, on the go, or even in your laptop bag. Our William Morris Morning Garden planner was created in cooperation with London's Victoria and Albert Museum, which has a comprehensive assortment of William Morris Art and Crafts designs among its collections.
This lovely planner features designs from John Henry Dearle's Golden Lily color woodblock print on paper. It was published as a wallpaper sample by Morris & Co. 1880-1917. Flower details and quotations by artists decorate the inside planner pages, and some pages show full-page illustrations of other William Morris patterns. The rose-colored spine text encourages you to "write, plan, create".
Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.
    ---William Morris

This planner makes a great gift: a charming organizer that doesn't require an Internet connection or a battery!

  • Monthly and weekly layout pages
  • Undated: fill in dates as you use it
  • 192 pages including checklists, contacts, notes, etc.
  • Measures 4-1/2 x 5-3/4" with colored elastic closure
  • My Thoughts*

I am loving this small little pocket planner. I can stash it inside my purse and write down a short to do list while I am waiting to pick up my son. This way I don’t forget something that is absolutely necessary, while I am thinking about it.

It has each week on one side- so two weeks on 2 sheets of paper (side by side). This planner isn’t meant for long drawn out to-do list tags. I use this one to tell me what I need to work on with my son pertaining to school work. He has been having trouble learning this year.

I think it has more to do with his teacher jumping around and not letting them learn one thing before she is on to the next one. During one week, I’ll get his “school work” and he will be learning E, P, D, H, and M instead of learning A-E or whatever.

I really dislike the way she is teaching the kids. They are small, they are in kindergarten, and they aren’t geniuses. My son was behind anyway because he was so premature. Everybody in his class are 3-5 months ahead of him and it shows.

That is why I love that I have this planner to help me detail what we should work on each night when he gets home. If she isn’t taking the time to help him learn, I sure will.

BUY IT: These pocket planners can be bought for $14 on the website. They have tons of different designs on the front!

    Review & Giveaway; Nomad Footwear

    image

I am not ashamed to say that I am one of those women who literally have a pair of shoes for every day of the year (almost) Smile I am not ashamed of this, because I love beautiful shoes. A girl has to have options! =)

While searching online for some really cool rain boots, I ran into the Nomad Website and instantly feel head over heels..literally. This site has every kind of shoe you would ever want and more!

Because it rains a TON here in the fall and spring, I desperately needed a great pair of Rain Boots. So I decided to get the Crossbones- Dijon with Blue Skull Rain Boots.

Crossbones - Dijon with Blue Skull

They came VERY quickly. I pulled them out of the box and was absolutely thrilled. No more wet shoes. More than that- I could hide from the rain in style.! These are VERY thick and durable rain boots. As soon as it rained (like the next day after I received them) I went outside and practically jumped in puddles to see how durable they were.

Did they pass the jump and run test? ABSOLUTELY! My socks stayed dry and my toes dry. My pants (even if they were flared bottoms) fit perfectly inside these cozy little boots.

They are available in a variety of colors and designs- so no matter what style you’re looking for- they have it. There were so many different ones that I loved that it was so hard for me to choose. They have some very awesome ones.

While you’re there, you should definitely check out their monthly sale tab. They have shoes as low as $5. You could cheaply and easily stock up on Christmas Gifts, hint hint.

They also have kid shoes, so I am definitely getting the kids some boots for Christmas. They need a new pair, and I know that these are going to hold up to their playing outside without tearing up in a month!

Whether your looking for heels, wedges, sandals, flats, or boots- you should definitely check out Nomad. Not only do they have extremely cheap prices but all of their shoes are absolutely STUNNING! =)

    About Nomad:

In 1997, two shoe salesmen wandered from city to city, store to store, inspired by an idea that would transcend into something they never thought imaginable. Their dream was to build a brand that would represent the free-spirited individual; the individual who followed trends and appreciated fashion, but never forgot who they truly were. Hence, Nomad was born; representative of their own ideals, as well as the nomadic attitude that lives within each “nomad” girl.
Being one of the pioneers of the high EVA foam sandal, Nomad Footwear journeyed from the junior fashion market, making its mark in the shoe industry. Since then, Nomad Footwear has transformed its styles to shoes like the Cork Wedge, creating styles that could be worn by any girl, day or night.
The logo of the little red man encompasses the ideals of Nomad Footwear. Like the vibrantly colored historical figure, Nomad Footwear has continued stay true to the origins of their company, passionately striving to create shoes that not only provide comfort, but also original styles and versatility to all of its loyal customers. Creating fashionable sandals, flip flops, flats and rain boots that any free spirited-girl would love to journey in, it’s no wonder why people everywhere choose to “wander off and be a Nomad…”

Review: Slice Products- Slanted Tweezers & Safety Cutter

Your goal is to slice. Our goal is to help you do it with style, beauty, and grace. That’s why every Slice™ cutting tool is a passionate celebration of bold design and extraordinary function.

We collaborate with some of the most innovative designers on the planet. They take everyday objects - scissors, safety knives, letter openers, ceramic knives, Safety Cutters- and rethink them. How can a safety cutter or a pair of scissors be better? What can we do to reinvent a Box Cutter so it is easier to use? How can we reconfigure beauty tools to make them into works of art?

    Slanted Precision Tweezers

What do you get when you combine the design skills of famed architect Michael Graves, two years of testing and development, and collaboration with top beauty professionals, stylists and estheticians? The result is a tweezer experience like you've never had before. Perfectly aligned, hand-filed slanted tips and a wide, comfortable rubberized red soft-touch grip for expert precision, every time.

    - Perfectly aligned slanted edges

    - Hand-filed precision tips

    - Ideal for professional brow shaping

    - Professional grade stainless steel

    - Soft-touch red rubberized finish

    - Wide comfort grip

    - For home or salon

    My Thoughts*

I don’t know how many times I’ve almost stabbed my own eye out trying and trying to get the perfect tweeze. The thin little tweezers make it so hard to get the perfect hold on it that most of the time I spend trying to hold it right.

With this slanted Tweezers- I never have to do that! They are PERFECTLY fit for my hand, so I spend more time tweezing and less time fighting with the tweezers. These have a rubberized material around them, so it’s a no-slip grip! No eye gouging here!

These are nice and sharp. They are thick which makes them perfect for grabbing what needs to be grabbed. There is no problem with having to re-do the same spot a million and five times because it wasn’t done right the first time.

These tweezers are perfect for shaping eyebrows. I don’t even want to count how many times I’ve had eyebrow mishaps and ended up with less eyebrow then I meant to.- With these, What I am grabbing for is what it grabs. No problems, no excuses, and absolutely beautifully shaped eyebrows!

    I LOVE these.!

You can find these and other Beauty Care products on the Slice website, as well as many products for the Kitchen , the Home & Office and Safety and Industrial.

BUY IT: Slanted Soft Touch Tweezers for only $20

    Ceramic Safety Cutter

Let’s cut to the chase. You need a cutting tool that’s quick, easy and safe. Scrapbooking, news articles, coupons, art projects, plastic packages designed to keep out Houdini – don’t grab scissors or some other weapon of mass destruction. Instead, keep Slice Safety Cutter handy with its high-tech ceramic blade that’s almost as hard as diamonds. You’ll find it just as valuable as you slice through projects with ease and keep your fingers safe and sound. The recessed ceramic blade lasts longer than steel and never rusts. Ever! Add a built-in magnet and key-ring hole, and its two thumbs up for the Slice Safety Cutter. Simple. Sharp. Safe. A portion of the purchase price of the Slice Safety Cutter is donated to fund Autism research.

    My Thoughts*

This is one of those innovative products that make you think “how did I ever live without this?” It cuts paper, opens envelopes, cuts coupons, and opens plastic packaging,  It even slits open the tape on boxes and packaging.

I am in love with this! I can now cut coupons and pictures from magazine without worrying about cutting and damaging the second page of the newspaper or magazine.

When this first arrived, I had doubts about how this little tiny bump on the safety slicer would cut through EVEN paper, much less tape and plastic packaging. IT DID though. I was absolutely speechless. Simply stunned.

I have tons of packages arriving almost daily, and it’s hard for me NOT to have to use a knife or box cutter. But as a mom, having to use these is a little worry-some. What if they try and use it, and cut off their fingers or cut themselves?

Now I don’t have to worry about that, because even though this cuts paper, cardboard, tape, and plastic without any problems- it WILL NOT cut hands or fingers.

To make it cut plastic, you have to press down a little harder (which is understandable) but to cut coupons, envelopes, and paper- just swipe it across and Wa-lah- your coupons are all laid out for you and you didn’t even have to use scissors or paper clippers!

This is amazing. It has a magnet built right in so that I can stick it to the side of my metal shelf, or on my refrigerator with no problem. The best thing is- I know where it is when it’s needed. I don’t have to dig in the silverware drawer for a knife- or search through my stuff for my box cutter or scissors.

This thing is SO handy and it’s only $5.99. This is perfect! It also has a hole on the very top so that you can slide something through it and hang it on a keychain or from a hook in your office! This is great for both left and right hands, easy to grip and won’t slip out of your hands because it’s made of rubberized material.

The blade on it will never rust, so you can use it again and again and again. Many years out of $5.99. This is the perfect stocking stuffer for couponers or scrapbookers!

Have you ever had problems cutting the plastic off items such as DVDs and CDs? I know I have. I can’t even pinch it to get a spot where I can knick it with scissors to get it off. I end up looking silly trying to pull a corner with my teeth so I can get a grip on a corner. Now I don’t have to do that. This slices right through the plastic without ruining the cover on the CD or DVD.

This has saved me not only time, but sanity as well. Everything comes out perfectly.!

BUY IT: Safety Cutter for $5.99
