Beauty Review: Calgon Parisian Charm Body Mist & Body Cream

My Review

Calgon launched four new scents this year, much to my excitement. I have always loved how great their scents smell, how cheap they are, and how they are ALWAYS high quality.

I was happy to get to work with them on their new scent Parisian Charm, which I received the body mist and body cream. They came with all new packaging- it looks so pretty and feminine!

Parisian charm has amazed me in so many different ways. Firstly, the packaging is stunning and dazzling. It looks so pretty and feminine with the giant flower, mixture blend of light blue into pink, and the Eiffel Tower in the background.

It smells so heavenly and has captured the attention of anybody that has gotten close to me the last couple of days. It is feminine and floral, and smells like it has undertones of fruit (Peach and Pineapple or Mango) and vanilla to me. It is such a unique blend of fragrance to give off such an enticing aroma.

It smells divine and delicious but yet doesn’t overpower! It isn’t a strong scent, and a couple sprays last almost all day. I’ve never smelled a mixture of this caliber before—this is now my go to body cream AND body mist!

It has a deeply pleasant smell that is mellow, invigorating, and refreshing. There’s nothing like stepping out of the shower to both a mist and cream that smells so amazing, It DOES take you to another place. If you close your eyes and think about “WHERE”, I could definitely see myself sitting in a beautiful, cozy little garden in Paris surrounded by abundantly grown plants and fruits!

I love how creamy, thick, and rich this body cream is! It is SO moisturizing and replenishing (because of the Shea butter and added vitamins) but non-greasy and doesn’t leave an oily residue after. It soaks right into my skin so that I can immediately dress after showering. I don’t have to wait, and Yum.. that smell. Calgon has done it again! I would definitely recommend this!

If you haven’t yet gotten your mom something for Mother’s Day- you should definitely take her shopping tomorrow and pick these up! She will absolutely LOVE this new fragrance!

Book Review: A Beautiful Mess by Ali Berlinski; Pubslush Publishing

My Review

The first 3/4 of this book reminds me of a confession from a stand-up comic or something. It has a mixture of witty one liners and a lot of complicated life stories.

It felt like accidentally stumbling on someone’s journal and seeing their true colors, the way their life unfolds, and their dirty little secrets. Most people aren’t going to confess how confusing their life is.

She is half Filipino, half Polish, is the middle, oldest, AND youngest child. How this comes about I never knew until this book. She has an Asian stepmom, 2 two older Caucasian siblings, and 2 half-Filipino-half-Puerto Rican younger siblings.

When I first got the book I thought it was going to be a hilarious memoir all the way through. It wasn’t, there were only a few funny parts- but it was worth the read.

She lays everything on the line. Her relationship with her parents and stepmom, her siblings, and even her relationships with men. She has an amazing “nickname” for one of her old boyfriends..

In the middle of the book is when she whips out her “personal tragedies” which consist of fights with her boyfriends, what went wrong, and what she could have done. Also—conversations and issues with parents.

I really liked the book. It  had me intrigued from the very beginning. I like reading memoirs though. Other people’s life stories have always been an interest to me..

My Review

 

This lotion is amazing for someone who already has a base tan. It is an “intense tingler” so you will feel the heat while in the tanning bed and about 20 minutes after (longer if you aren’t used to the Tingle Lotions).

This is due to the Advanced Triple Tingleplex™ Technology in it. If you have sensitive skin, this isn’t for you. “Tingle lotions” give you a tingling sensation after applying the lotion. It brings the blood closer to the skin’s surface and helps to supply oxygen for a deeper darker tan.

I myself ADORE tingle lotions and am always on the lookout for the Tingle Winners! I am all about the tingler lotions mixed with bronzers as well! IT’s a combination for a DEEP dark tan that lasts.

 

The Swedish Beauty Stunning is a light peach color and is just the right consistency. It doesn’t take very much to spread on the entire body. I was using a packet, and I still had a little left after I was done applying.

The lotion is very light and spread very easily. I love how easily and quickly it sank into the skin. It is very luxurious and creamy, my skin immediately felt hydrated and silky.

The scent of this lotion is a very light berry smell. It smells delicious, delightful, and not at all overpowering. It has a very sweet, pleasant, and very enjoyable even after tanning. Some tanning lotions smell good BEFORE tanning but take on an extreme “burnt” smell after.. This doesn’t though, it remained the same.

Swedish Beauty really knows their tanning products, and what a customer is looking for! They are always creating high quality products that have us tanners drooling!    I was very impressed with this lotion!

I already had a great base tan before using this, but this has peaked the plateau in terms of color! Spent a week in the Bahamas? I wish! Nope- just wonderful tanning products!

Although I didn’t receive the bottle, I LOVE the design on it. It’s got a fake diamond wrap going all the way around the lid. The colors are the bottle are colorful, eye catching, and look metallic!

Rugs are an amazing way to accessorize any home, apartment, or condo. A rug is an easy way to make your home look stylish without having to redo carpet or spend a ton of money.

It’s easy to make a house look homey, comfortable, and inviting just by choosing a rug that fits your “style”. When I got a chance to work with Natural Life, I was excited.

Beauty Review: Acure Pure Mint+Echinacea Stem Cell Shampoo/Conditioner

I have fallen in love with every single Acure Organics product that has hit the market. They get it right every single time! Their ingredients are nothing but organic, natural, fair trade products. The Acure Mint shampoo and Conditioner are simply quite amazing if I do say so myself. They smell amazing (a nice minty scent) the shampoo has a nice rich lather, and doesn’t take very much at all to wash my entire head of hair.

I can tell even when I’m still in the shower that my hair actually has some Oomph to it. I really like the volume it adds. I simply LOVE it! There’s nothing like Acure on the market.

My Review

My daughter Adisyn is 4 years old, and loves interactive television shows and DVD’s. She likes singing and dancing along with whatever she’s watching, and she always pays close attention.

Out of both my kids, Adisyn is the “learner.” She is like a sponge when it comes to singing songs and learning dance moves. She gets them down pat and LOVES to show off what she learned.

See how excited they were when I put the DVD in? See how she mixed a dress with lovely winter boots? Yep—she loves dressing herself.

The Wiggles DVD is more of a “theatrical” DVD where they stand on the stage and sing & dance. Before this, she only had watched the Wiggles a handful of times. She really likes it though, she had a blast seeing all the “characters” that came on the stage.

She was on her feet almost the entire time, repeating what they were doing, and doing what they asked.. Jumping up and down, crawling on the ground, clapping, and so on.

It was really cute seeing her SO into a DVD. She was really having fun. This would be the perfect DVD to put in on a rainy day when they can’t go outside to play. This will give them the exercise they are missing, because it has them on their feet jumping like a kangaroo, slithering like a snake.. etc.

She will bring the DVD up to me and ask me to put it in randomly. She loves that the “Wiggles” are funny. She laughs because “Jeff” falls asleep all the time and they’ll ask the audience to help wake him up.

It’s a really fun DVD, and the perfect gift for your kids, nieces, nephews, your friends kid’s.. just about any small child will love this!!
