Forever Pure Beauty Mineral Eye Shadow & Cream Eye Liner Review & Giveaway

Trying any kind of makeup product is always fun. I love to transform myself into an at-home makeup artist if only for a little while. Putting on makeup feels like to me like an artist painting a canvas. Once you find the perfect medium , you can do wonders with it.

The Forever Pure Beauty eye shadows are very versatile eye shadows.  The eye shadows are made from pure, crushed minerals without any added colorants and dyes. This line of eye shadow is made with nothing but pure, natural minerals. They are 100% vegan and gluten free.

I ended up getting 4 colors of my choice of eye shadows. I ended up choosing the silver bullet, storm cloud, smoky plum, and canyon rock. The Silver Bullet eye shadow is a Mineral Satin while the rest that I chose were Matte Minerals.

The silver bullet is a mineral satin mineral eye shadow that is mostly shimmery, not sparkly with glitter which I appreciate and love. It produces a gorgeous satin shimmer without being too  showy or full of glimmer. I like the sheen that comes from a shimmery eye shadow but could do without picking glitter off my face all day.

This eye shadow is a medium shimmery silver/gray which really makes the name perfect for this  beautiful gun metal silver/gray shadow. I love how it looks when dry as a shadow or highlighter (upper eye lid) or wet as a liner! It definitely makes the eyes pop either way. It’s a breathtaking color that will never hesitate to capture attention.

Mineral Matte Shadows are free of FD&C dyes, lakes, talc, bismuth oxychloride, and petroleum by-products. The Matte line of shadows are designed to be matte yet never flat. They are highly pigmented; soft, silky, and delicate with a wide variety of colors!

Smoky Plum: I love this color. This deep grayish plum really brings out my hazel eyes. It looks fabulous as both an eye shadow and as a highlighter. It doesn’t look over the top but it definitely creates a beautiful dramatic look.

What gives it the smoky look is the gray undertones. The gray undertones is also what makes it so remarkable on any skin color, mixed with any other eye shadow, and pops with any eye color. This is truly my favorite eye shadow at the moment and I have a TON of eye shadows, including 2 palettes with more than 100 shadows each.

Canyon Rock- This is a medium matte neutral earthy beige. This color looks more taupe beige to me. It’s a very khaki like color and works amazing as a highlighter. When I use the Smoky Plum, I use this on the bottom lid and the Smoky Plum as the highlighter.

This duo is irresistible and absolutely remarkable together. The canyon Rock is more of a neutral color so it lays dormant while letting the other color take center stage.

Storm Cloud- This looks like any regular gray shaded eye shadow until you apply it. That’s when you notice it’s deep bluish gray tint. It gives my eyes a definite pop that brings out the specks in my hazel eyes! I love it.

It looks amazing when blended with a regular gray or silver or even a silver shimmer such as the Silver Bullet. It also looks amazing with the Smoky Plum which is a purple with gray undertones. They definitely compliment each other!

Overall*

I love the variety of colors that they offer. They span from delicately elegant, soft hues to a more colorful, vibrantly bold. No matter what your style of makeup may be, you’ll definitely find more than a few favorites to add to your makeup stash.

The eye shadows can be blended together to give you a unique color that is personal to you. They can be layered together to give you a breathtaking dramatic look. You can dip your makeup brush into water and then into the eye shadow, it makes for an amazing liner!

How you mix and match the colors is totally up to you. You can use complimentary colors that totally blend in together or use contrasting colors to bring out your eyes! The eye shadows are very pigmented, and are very long lasting. They last quite awhile just by themselves, but if you use a primer underneath- they last 10x longer!

I get a great deal of compliments when I’m wearing the Forever Pure Beauty Mineral Eye shadows, it doesn’t matter which combination I use either. If you know which colors will look good with your skin/eye color or how to correctly layer your eye shadow, they’ll always bring out the color in your eyes!

I love how easily these mineral shadows go on without creating a giant mess. Usually I have a problem with mineral eye They cling pretty strongly to the brush and don’t come off until it touches your skin! Even if I mess up and have to re-do my eye shadow I can easily wipe these off with an Aveeno Wet Face-wipe cleaner.

Cream Eyeliner

I also received the Forever Pure Beauty Cream Liner in Black. Made from pure mineral pigments, plant waxes, natural butters and botanicals, it glides on without any problems and stays all day! It is great for  lining, defining or smudging!

It works amazing with all my liner brushes. The slanted one that you see in the picture above is my favorite. It gives the perfect lined look that not even a pencil can give most of the time! It also works amazing with the thin makeup brushes for lining under your eyes!

Review: Mia Mariu Mineral Makeup

What woman doesn’t like to try out new cosmetics? I LOVE it. It is one of my favorite hobbies! I was super psyched when I got a chance to review some products from Mia Mariu. Mia Mariu sells the most amazing mineral makeup and skincare.

The Perfecting Finish Mineral Foundation is a truly an amazing foundation. I was sent the Miel color, which is a lighter medium color. The texture is so silky smooth that I don’t even feel like I’m wearing makeup! The trick to this foundation is the ingredients; natural minerals, green tea, lecithin, and vitamins A and E.

I used a sponge to apply this, and it absorbed instantly. My skin immediately fell in love. It is SO moisturizing, yet didn’t gleam or shine. It blended into my skin SO well that it just looked like I had naturally perfect skin. It covered up the dark circles under my eyes, the uneven textures, and a tiny blemish I had on the left side of my jaw.

It is is oil-free, yet hydrating which I love. I don’t have to worry about my skin looking shiny in the sunlight, pictures, or high temperatures. My skin looked and felt flawless ALL day. It didn’t sweat off, fade off, and I never had to reapply it!

Mia Mariu has an amazing feature on their website that makes it easy to find your perfect tone, so you aren’t struggling on guessing colors. We’ve all had those mistakes. When we go makeup shopping and end up getting something that is too light or too dark for our skin.

Either we end up mixing it with another foundation we have, a moisturizer, or not using the makeup at all. That’s why I love this feature. It helps to find the perfect tone, so that your natural skin tone is highlighted and made beautiful!

Luminous Lip Gloss in Romance was also sent. This is the lightest color in the collection. It’s a light sparkly pink, but when I put it on it looks clear and sparkly.

I love the radiant glow of this gloss. It is very creamy, feels almost like applying a luscious icing. It is very rich, but also very soft. It stays on for awhile, without me having to reapply it time and time again.

I love the luminous sparkles that twinkle in the light when I move. It makes me feel like a true beauty queen for just a little bit. Sparks seem to fly from my eyes when I put this on. Makes me feel like I have somewhere important to be, even if I don’t!

shimmery, glittering, and beaming are words that come to mind when I think of this gloss. It adds luster to my makeup collection. It’s better than looking dull and not shining at all. Contains Vitamin A, E, & C!

It feels so hydrating and nourishing. Other lip glosses seem to feel slick. I can’t seem to keep them on for more than 20 minutes at the most because it’s like they evaporate into the air. This feels like a creamy, thick lipstick instead of those thin, runny lip glosses we are all used to!

They also sent the Hydrating Stick Gloss in Seduccion. I don’t usually wear a lot of lipstick because they tend to make my lips feel dried out. I really enjoy wearing this one though, because the formula is extra hydrating, so my lips NEVER feel dried out.

It seriously just feels like I’ve got on a tinted lip gloss or chapstick! The best part was it didn’t clump up and dry out after a little while. It includes Vitamins A, C and E that nourishes, as well as minerals and anti-oxidants to preserve and protect.

I love the lively, vibrant coloring of the lipstick. It really brings out my complexion and is really flattering. The color is dazzling, eye catching, and lustrous. It really brought out the red coloring I put in my hair not that long ago! They really complimented each other perfectly!

The texture is creamy, feathery, and very smooth! I really loved how it just glides on without a problem. With any other lipstick, it’s like I have to force it. Not with this one, it truly stays silky smooth and vivid for hours!

I didn’t have to keep checking to make sure it wasn’t smeared, running, or wiped off. This is the first lipstick (even within the “hydrating” lipsticks) that I didn’t have to put lipgloss on right after applying the lipstick.

I am always testing out new colors, shades, and dimensions of eye shadow, eye liner, and eye shimmers. Sometimes I end up messing up and end up with eye shadow somewhere it isn’t mean to be (like on my cheek). The mineral eye shadow is the hardest to keep where it’s supposed to be.

Without a great eye makeup remover, it would take me forever to clean up and remove all the eye shadow. Even with wipes or a washcloth- my skin ends up red and irritated looking because of the constant rubbing.

I LOVE this Gentle Eye Makeup Remover because it feel more like an soothing oil than a runny liquid. It takes just a very small amount of this to get ALL the eyeshadow, liner, shimmer, and mascara off without irritating the skin around my eyes and making them red,

The trick to this is the ingredients. This contains cucumber extract which helps to reduce swelling around the eyes. It is also formulated with Vitamin E and other botanicals.

This leaves my skin perfectly clean from makeup. No harsh chemicals, no hard scrubbing, and absolutely NO redness. I didn’t wake up with mascara lines running down my face like with my usual face cleanser. No matter what I done to prevent it, it was still happening. That is, until switching over to this.

This is perfect for the sensitive area around the eyes, and perfect for every type of skin. A tiny bit goes further than twice the amount of my regular cleanser.

My Thoughts*

This mineral makeup is tinted with minerals and contains absolutely no oils. This stays on all day and is perfect for neutralizing skin redness. This makeup works amazing and works naturally to keep my skin looking healthy.

This makeup looks like a pressed powder and feels silky smooth when I put it on. It stays on without any effort and looks amazing all day. My skin can definitely breathe and it does NOT smother my skin.
This isn’t a full coverage powder foundation- AND it states that it isn’t supposed to be. It comes in three different shades; Dune, Clay, and Terra. It can be used alone as a bronzer or you can wear it with liquid foundation underneath for full absolute coverage.

If you want major coverage, I would suggest using a moisturizer and then a liquid foundation underneath. This mineral powder doesn’t cover blemishes by itself, so if you have acne prone skin and want coverage- use something underneath it (whether it be liquid foundation, tinted moisturizer, or just concealer on the blemishes).

Depending on how much your going to apply, depends on how much coverage your getting. It leaves skin silky smooth skin with no harmful chemicals or impurities. It contains Avocado oil which helps to protect and nourish your skin!

It is compatible with all skin types, whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin. It gives off such a nice effect for a perfect complexion. It is natural matte- so it doesn’t give off a shine when your taking pictures!
This product is not tested on animals and is paraben free- That’s the main reason I made the pact to change to mineral this year. Last year I learned about all the different chemicals that can be in makeups, skincare, and hair care that can seep into skin and become harmful if exposed for long periods of time.

LoveTrueNatural Benecos Mineral Makeup Review

I have worked with LoveTrueNatural before, and I really love the products they sell. They carry natural products that work wonders. I love that they have the best customer service and are very helpful. If you ever need ANY kind of help you can always email them and they respond very quickly.

This time I received two pieces of mineral makeup from their Benecos Line. I was sent a mineral liquid foundation and a mineral powder foundation. I chose the Nude Liquid Foundation and the light sand powder foundation.

Benecos Creamy Liquid Foundation

The liquid foundation goes on very smoothly without looking like it has been caked on. It's coverage is absolutely unbelievable, and it is so creamy and smooth. It covers everything; old acne scars, scars, zits, redness, rosacea.. You name it, they got it covered (literally). The foundation looked like a second skin. It lasted forever it seemed, with no running, no smearing, no coming off in certain spots.

It covers up redness and dark circles without looking like it's covering anything. I had people tell me that my skin was flawless, because they thought I didn't even have makeup on. Most mineral liquid foundation is either very thick or too thin to cover anything. This was the perfect consistency to look natural, yet hide all those spots that don't need to be shown in public.

The makeup is pure vegan and organic and doesn't contain any wheat. I'm not allergic to wheat, so it wouldn't be a problem for me, but some people do and it would be an issue for them. It is a certified organic, and has the label to prove so.

The color I chose is for fair skin, but they have other colors, so you don't have to worry if you have another skin tone. They have something for you as well, and you can get the best coverage available as well.

Benecos Mineral Powder Foundation

The powder foundation is also exquisite at hiding imperfections. I usually use both at the same time, and it still doesn't look like I have any makeup on. It blends so well with the color of my skin that it just looks natural. This is the way that all makeup should be, although it isn't. I've seen too many references to being rolled in Dorito's on facebook here lately. I have no idea why women and girls think that if they apply a darker toned makeup that their skin tone is automatically going to look tan. It doesn't and their face looks absolutely horrid.

I can get the tanned look and I don't have an olive or medium toned complexion. The trick to this is to use an absolutely amazing mineral makeup. Use the liquid and then the powder foundations, and make sure they are the same color as your skin tone.

Then use a mineral bronzer and a bronzer brush to slightly brush your cheeks and the places where the sun would naturally touch your face. This gives you a suntanned look without looking like an oompa loompa.

Both of these products are wonderful. The liquid foundation is amazing at coverage of all the unwanted redness, scars, black eyes, puffiness, and anything else that doesn’t need to be there. This creamy, lightweight formula does more than a regular foundation without all the icky smells and it cleans up very well.

The mineral powder foundation is great at blending in and making your face look flawless. It doesn’t seep into pores to cause acne like non-mineral makeup. It leaves your face feeling natural and yet beautiful. You don’t look like your makeup is caked up. I love the coverage that this gives and how it doesn’t sweat off in the middle of the hottest part of the day. I don’t have to keep reapplying it.

Mineral Hygienics Review

I love companies that offer your money back if you don’t like their product. This usually means that they are a VERY honest company, and want you to REALLY test it out before making a decision.

With mineral make-up, you have to get it at least a week (if you have never used it before) before saying yay or nay. WHY? It could blend well with certain moisturizers or NOT, you could NOT exactly know how to use the brush and come to realize that once you get the hang of it, that your makeup seems more and more flawless.

I had this issue. I realized that I was putting too much makeup in the lid at first and it was clumping (in spots). And that I was DIPPING the brush and not SWIRLING. For the best results—tap a little makeup in the top of the lid at a time and SWIRL the brush in circles to help it pick up the makeup. The swirling actually warms the minerals and helps it stick to your face longer, smoother, and without all the clumps.. silly me.

I really did like this make-up. I am one to go with the trend of make-up. I try and stick with mineral as much as possible. When I was younger and heard all the horror stories about lipstick being made from dolphin and whale fat—it disgusted  me. I didn’t wear makeup for a VERY long time. Only eyeshadow for the longest.

Since companies are becoming greener, I have started back and am TOTALLY glad. I look flawless everyday (even though my skin is uneven) because of the way mineral makeup makes your skin look. It’s like it forms to your face as a second skin and covers all blemishes without KNOWING you have makeup covering it.

I was sent 6 different colors of the Mineral Hygenics Makeup to try. The 6 were Silk Translucent, Light, Fairly Tan, Medium Light, Medium, and Warm Kiss.

Before putting on any mineral makeup, I suggest getting a makeup primer or a really good moisturizer. If you do this, your makeup will stay WAY longer than if you applied it without.

I tried every single one of these foundations. Every single one of them work amazing well. I WISH I had DARKER skin tone, but I ended up using Medium Light mixed with skin translucent bronzed with warm kiss.

It created the most beautiful look. It looked sunkissed, natural and you couldn’t even HINT at me actually having makeup on. It didn’t peel off, fade away, or gently disappear. One day I was so exhausted that I even took a nap with this on—I woke up and my face looked EXACTALY the same. I was amazed that my pillow hadn’t made any of it come off.

Now that summer is on it’s way (very fast, if I must say) I am always looking for a way to keep actual sunrays off of my face without having to smother it in sunblock. This makeup has natural SPF ingredients that are chemical free. It protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

This makeup allows your skin to breathe because it doesn’t soak up the natural oils or moisture in your face cells. Most do—and shortly your face can turn into an icky ooey gooey mess—that WILL need to be redone. I can say that for mineral Hygenics that isn’t the case. I took the kids to the park on the hottest day of the week last week and I still didn’t have to retouch up my foundation.

Mineral Makeups (Most of them) claim to be organic (etc).. but ARE they? REALLY? How can you REALLY tell? Look at the ingredients. The less ingredients there are in a makeup, the better off your going to be. The less your going to have to google search.. lol

I do this all the time. I google search stuff to make sure I won’t end up with some horrible rash or something after using it. This makeup has 4—yes FOUR ingredients. Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Iron Oxide, and Mica. Google search THOSE. No harmful ingredients in sight.

This isn’t a makeup that will make your face SHINE. It is designed to mimic the actual “reactions” of skin. So it is designed (as a matte finish) to not give gleam and glare to your face. It actually gives quite an airbrushed look. My face was smooth, soft, and NEVER itched EVER.

This is perfect for every skin tone, whether you are extremely fair skinned, olive skinned, or VERY tan. They have a shade for you. I would suggest getting the starter kit though, so you can test the waters so to speak. I thought I’d use a medium darker and I was SO wrong. That is usually the case with women and their makeup.. So go a little lighter at first and work your way up to a darker shade.. see which one is best for you. They have a section on their website that helps you choose the best color for you.

Medium (My Best Shade)

This is our most popular shade. When exposed to the sun your skin will tan very easily and in most situations you will not burn. You probably do not have skin sensitivity issues. Your neutral or warm undertones will look beautiful in our minerals!

Really awesome make-up. Organic all the way. Very great coverage, sun protection, no problems with it at all. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the brush. The brush was really scratchy.. I had another brush and used it, and the makeup was awesome. Other than the brush—I love IT!!
