My Thoughts*
I used to hate cleaning windows. It seemed to take forever to get those pristine, smear free windows. Too much work without any CLEAR results. UGH.
All other natural cleaners left my house smelling like vinegar, and they tended to cloud the windows after awhile. All chemical, commercial cleaners make me cough because of the chemicals in the spray.
Natural House Glassy is exactly the opposite of all other cleaners. It's absolutely ALL natural, doesn't contain any chemicals at all. Doesn't smell like vinegar, it smells GREAT. It has a citrus smell that isn't overpowering, just smells clean and very nice.
Glassy <as well as all Natural House cleaners> contain probiotics.

Every single glass surface in my house is sparkling now because of Glassy. My kids are small and still touch the glass in my screen door to close it, instead of pulling the handle. So needless to say- her windows were foggy and sticky..
I sprayed on Glassy, left it on for 5-10 minutes and washed it off with a wash cloth. Usually I can't use a washcloth to clean windows, the random straying fibers find themselves all over the windows. Not with glassy, there wasn't a single strand of leftover fibers anywhere. I was definitely impressed.
But then again, I've worked with Natural House before and have seen firsthand what their products can do. I have used every single product they have except Surfy.

My kids LOVE cartoons. They really enjoyed the chance to get to watch Babar the Complete First Season. They have the Christmas Babar and really loved that one also, so I knew they would like this one as well.
I love that it can keep my children entertained while I clean the house or get some work done WHILE teaching them some important life lessons. Challenged present themselves to Babar, but he never backs down, never gives up, and this teaches our children to persevere through anything.
Teaching your children to try their hardest is the best thing you can do for them. All while watching cartoons, who would have thought? This is an amazing collection to add to your classic cartoon selection.

It can be both energizing and uplifting and sedative.  It does this by instilling feelings of peace.  It can be used in the treatment of anorexia.
Wild orange's main constituent, limonene, has powerful anti-cancer activity, suggesting that this oil might be effective as an anti-cancer agent.
It also supports collagen formation in the skin.

Modern research into wild orange oil

In clinical testing, the antioxidant Citrus sinensis exhibited absolute fungitoxicity (it kills fungi) against 10 post-harvest pathogens.  It was also absolutely toxic for spore germination.
A university study has demonstrated that wild orange oil is highly effective as an antidepressant.

Other uses for wild orange oil

1. Diffusing wild orange is very effective at killing pathogens in the air.  It provides a very pleasant way to disinfect and kill bacteria, and assists with colds and flu.
2. Diffusing wild orange can also be beneficial for nervous tension and stress, and is relaxing for children at bedtime.
3. Diffuse in the car on long trips.  It is very calming and uplifting, and relieves stress.  Its anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-pathogenic activity also enhances the enjoyment of travel.
4. Put 1-2 drops of wild orange in drinking water.  It's a good diuretic, and is most useful in balancing water retention, and may be helpful with obesity.  Its lymphatic-stimulant action further helps to balance water processes, as well as detoxification, aiding the immune system and general well-being.
5. Blended in massage oil or added to a bath, wild orange assists with colds and flu, eliminates toxins from the body, boosts the lymphatic and immune system and helps ease nervous tension and stress.
6. Use in massage for its invigorating, yet calming, properties.  Can be very helpful for muscle pain.
7. Wild orange oil is certified GRAS by the FDA, and is safe for ingestion.  Adding 1-2 drops of this oil to ¼ cut of water and drinking can be very helpful for acid reflux or heartburn.  It has a powerful alkalizing effect on the system, making it very effective for many digestive issues.
8. Mix with a carrier oil and massage on an infant's tummy to sooth stomach ache.
9. Add to furniture polish, to help protect furniture against damage from insects.
10. Add several drops of wild orange oil to some water in a spray bottle, shake well, to disperse the oil, and spritz on bed sheets, drapes or upholstery (think Febreze^®).  May also be sprayed into the air as a fragrant, pathogen-killing air freshener for kitchens and bathrooms.
11. Mix wild orange oil with water, to wipe down kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

My Thoughts*

As soon as you open the bottle, you can tell that this is made out of natural oranges. It smells SO good, as if they have just dripped orange juice right into the bottle and sent it to you in a bottle.
I have been using this essential oil for awhile now. Even though it’s only a 15ml bottle, a drop or two goes a very long way. I have tried it in so many different ways and it worked in ALL ways that it can be used.
Inhaling this can lower your stress and anxiety levels. Because I have been diagnosed with bipolar mania II AND anxiety disorder, reducing anxiety is the #1 go-to method for bipolar.
Bipolar tends to get me all riled up and frustrated easily, so I have to remember to step back and take deep breaths when I am feeling overwhelmed. Wild Orange is naturally an uplifting scent, so it really helps to reduce stress and relieve anxiety.
Although I don’t have a problem with obesity, this Wild Orange essential oil is great for reducing the amount of water that your body holds in. All you have to do is put 1-2 drops of this essential oil into a bottle or glass of water and sip it.
Putting this essential oil into your water will also help with digestive problems and acid reflux. So if you have reflux or seem to always have an upset stomach, this is great to pack around with you to drop into water and sip throughout the day to keep your stomach at ease.
I have also added this my bath water. You can add 1-2 drops but I decided to add a little bit more just for more potency. Adding this to your bath water or ingesting this can help with collagen renewal. It stimulates collagen to boost your skins elasticity.
Also added to bathwater it can help keep cold and flu away. It is also THOUGHT to be very useful in keeping cancers away.
I do know that it isn’t an overpowering orange smell. It smells SO amazing and refreshing. It works very well as a natural house cleaner as well. Drop 1-3 drops into 4 ounces of water and clean whatever you need cleaning. Whether you need to clean your sinks, your bathroom, or your floor. Helps me to feel relaxed WHILE making my house smell SO good.

It’s a bit heavy, so it’s best kept for night-time regimen. Most women try and use night-time creams under their makeup as a day moisturizer, but keep this as a night time treatment. You don’t have to use this very long to see a huge difference in your skin health.

Who wouldn’t want radiant, vibrant skin? I know I couldn’t pass it up. There is NO way I am going back to regular night-time treatments!!

Also you can take 2 pills a day for a week, 1 first thing in the morning and then another 1 around noon, and then skip your day and go back down to 1 a day for a week. Alternating that will trick your metabolism and make it work for you. You may take 2 pills in the AM and then another at 2. Keep in mind everyone- is different. What works for one may not work for another, you may experiment with your time.

The reason for the skip day is to slow your metabolism down on the day when you're not taking it and it will increase it again when you take it the next day.

My Thoughts*

I have been taking this for more than a couple of weeks now, and I am totally in awe of this. I have taken tons of energy pills, drank energy drinks, and tried many other sources of “energy”.

If you eat healthy and exercise while taking these, it WILL help you lose weight. The ingredients in these pills boost your metabolism. Boosting your metabolism helps you lose calories quicker than just exercise and diet alone.

Although I haven’t been trying to lose weight, I took some for the energy. It kept me alert and going for about 4-5 hours, and then I’d take another after eating.

My mom has been taking them for weight loss though. She has always been self conscious about how big she is. She tells me all the time that she thinks she’s fat. So when I was asked to review these, I immediately thought about mom.

She started at taking 1 a day, weighing 155 pounds. I was only sent about 15-20 days worth depending on how many you want to take a day. She took all of them but 4 (which I took to try out). She ended up losing about 4 lbs, during the span of about 2 and a half weeks.

My Thoughts*

I have been using this for about a month. Because I have oily skin, I can only use this every other day because it has extreme moisturizing agents in it. It has coconut oil in it, so it has repairing agents that help speed up healing of bruises and other skin problems.

My skin had some old discoloration from acne scars from when I was a teenager. This has lightened the discoloration to where it can’t be seen at all. It has left my skin extremely hydrated and moisturized. 

This helps create moisturizes without any irritation or redness. It helps with the effectiveness of my sunscreen. When I am going swimming, I can put this on <All over my body> and then put the sunscreen on and it doubles the effectiveness of it.

I also like to use this on my kids under their sunscreen. They love being outside, but lately it has been VERY hot and the UV rays have doubled. They have very fair skin and they burn very easily. I want them to be safe from sunburn as much as possible.

I have dry, itchy skin most of the time. I have bought and used plenty of products to help with the dry itchy skin on my legs. Some have worked, others haven’t. This does though. It helps seal in the moisture with the Vitamin C.

My Thoughts*

This soap is absolutely amazing. The smell of Lavender is absolutely calming and refreshing. Not only does it help the skin, it also smells great in the bathroom. It’s so fragrant that as soon as you walk in the bathroom, you can smell lavender.

The more you use it, the more fragrant it makes your bathroom. I received 2 bars of the lavender soap, so I use one especially for handwashing in the bathroom and the other in the bathtub for face washing use.

Adam works outside. He is a foreman for our local tree-trimming service. They travel to surrounding counties in Kentucky and Tennessee, so his day is long, hard, and extremely hot in the summer. The first thing he does when he comes in is shower and wash his face.

Other bar soaps are drying to your skin and can leave it feeling like you have rubbed sandpaper across it.  This isn’t drying at all. It soothes and relaxes while making my skin feel absolutely amazing.

As a woman, I definitely have issues getting all of my mascara off in the shower. I get out of the tub and have to re-wash my entire face because I have raccoon eyes. It is hard to tell if you’ve gotten all the mascara off if you don’t have a mirror in your shower.

I have tested another shower mirror before, but it didn’t work out so well. The fog in the shower didn’t mix well with the mirror and it was always hard to see. The mirror was very small and I didn’t like it very much.

The other shower mirror had a distortion to it. It felt like looking into a fun-house mirror and I had to hold it really close to my face just to be able to see.

This Toilet Tree LED fogless Shower Mirror is definitely SO much better. The mirror on this baby is HUGE. I can see my entire face without having to stand on tippy toes or scrunch down like the humpback of Notre Dame. You can place this easily with no mess, at any height you want.

It comes with an instruction book on how to put the silicone on and where to place it at. This helped me tons when I got it. I put it together and had it on the wall within 10 minutes. You can also remove the mirror from the wall (when and if you wish) without the silicone damaging your walls or tile.

I have been using this mirror for over a month and I have never had one single issue with it fogging up. It has a light built in with a push button on the side. It’s easy to use and is VERY bright. I love it.

This isn’t held on by suction cups like other shower products. Usually those suction cups give out and leave your stuff in pieces in the bathtub. This comes with easy to apply silicone that has held and held in place with no issues.

The mirror is detachable, so all you do is place the mirror under the running shower water (at the temp you take a shower) and let it run into the mirror for approximately 5-7 seconds. This is what keeps the mirror from fogging. If you do notice it starting to fog, just fill it back up with water and the fog will disappear.

There isn’t one bit of distortion to this mirror. If you stand really far back  and rock slightly you can see a slight distortion to it, but I can’t se why anyone would want to stand that far away and rock while shaving anyway.

It comes with a self-stored squeegee that helps remove the excess water off the front of the mirror for a better view of yourself. It is amazing because this mirror can be pushed down for shorter users and pushed up for taller users. So that everyone in your household can use this.

You can wipe those raccoon eyes off and your husband can shave in the shower without knicking and cutting himself to pieces. I love this mirror. It isn’t expensive, and yet has so many great qualities.

Dermatologists recommend washing, scrubbing, and exfoliating your face in the shower because the heat and moisture help open the pores. This makes it TONS easier to be able to get all the dirt and grime as well as black and white heads off of your skin. This also makes it extremely easy to be able to tweeze in the shower. Because your hair softens in the shower, it’s a great time to pluck away and it not hurt so bad.

This is perfect for this. It is also a great shaving mirror for women as well as men. Because it is detachable, you can make sure you got all the hairs off of your underarms, legs, and wherever else you don’t want to miss a spot.

And because it is detachable, I usually take this out of the shower and use it as a makeup mirror as well because it is so big and is lighted. It makes putting makeup on SO much easier because I can sit down or take the mirror and prop it up and don’t have to stand up close to my bathroom mirror.

When using it in your hair- you heat it up in the microwave- and then I suggest dipping a brush or a comb straight into the jar. (If you aren’t using this jar for cooking) and then brush or comb the oil into your hair. Put it on your scalp and massage it in. THEN rub more from your roots all the way to the ends of your hair. RUB it in. Leave it on for as long as you want.
I have also started heating this up and mixing it in with my dog’s food. We got a new Red Nose Red Pit Bull and the kids and Adam named him Apollo. He got his name from the Movie Rocky. His dad’s name is Rocky.

I am absolutely thrilled with the two items I received from EcoLunchGear! I received a sandwich wrap and a snack bag. The colors are amazing, and would look great for either yourself, your kids, your mom, best friend, or as a gift to your kid's teacher.

I took these with us to the doctor, I put 2 capri sun pouches inside the sandwich wrap and 6 granola bars in the snack wrap. I know I didn't have to, but my kids are messy and who wants cracked granola bars? Not me, especially since I would be the one picking them up off the doctors' floor. When we arrived at the doctor- the drinks were still cool, even though it was scorching outside.

I love that they also unwrap to easily be used as a placemat. If your going on a picnic and don't want to keep your sandwich or whatever in your hands the entire time, because of the tables or putting them directly on the blanket, this saves you the hassle.

The sandwich wrap can be used for just more than a sandwich. I have put many things inside this and never once has it failed me! They stay tightly velcroed inside, never falling out!

These wraps can be washed which is awesome. Not only can you machine wash them and line dry them, but you can wash these along with your dishes and then let them dry in your drainer (or line dry them). It makes making lunches so much easier!

In the sandwich bag, I received the Starburst Lemon fabric. It is so dainty and very cute yellow fabric with dark blue, light blue, and white polka dots.

So no matter which fabric you get, you know that they will be cute as a button and function SO perfectly well. I love it. I am definitely going to buy my mom something for her lunch bag for work.

A bit about the material & product:

It wasn't enough for me to think about the end result and use something reusable, I wanted to think of the beginning as well. That is why we use 100% certified organic cotton vs. just cotton- yes, it does cost more per yard but that fact that it is grown without pesticides is worth every penny. The sandwich wraps & snack bags are lined with a polyurethane coated nylon (the polyurethane coating is on the inside away from food)- this is to help keep food fresh and is resistant to water, stains, mildew, and rot. The nylon has been tested and is free of heavy metals, phalthates, and is lead free. The reason we use a nylon for a liner is to keep things fresh. I've tried It without and the bread gets stale.

The Sandwich Wrap folds around a sandwich, bagel, or even a sliced orange-anything you can think of. It also lays flat to be used as a placemat- great on those not so clean lunch or picnic tables. Both wraps & bags have double velcros on the inside, this is for the cleaning process.

Just fold the velcro tab down before throwing in the wash so it doesn't stick to everything else. They can be machine washed/dried or hand washed and line dried. I usually just hand wash mine with some dishes and let them dry overnight to use the next morning.

The Snack bags open completely for easy clean up- no crumbs left in any corners. I pre-wash all the fabric before it gets cut and sewn together so it is pre-shrunk. This prevents any puckering after you have washed it so it will look just as new as when you received it. Our products can be used over and over again-we have a sandwich wrap that we have used every day for over a year and it still looks great and the velcro holds up like it's new!

BeyondtheBeauty Zebra Print Curling Rod Review & Giveaway

Zebra Print Curling Rod

I have only used traditional curling irons to curl my hair before. I have never had the opportunity to use a curling rod until now. Beyond the Beauty sent me a curling rod to review.

These aren’t like regular curling irons, because they don’t have the clip part on the rod. It’s just the rod. At first- I had trouble with this, I couldn’t get close to my head because I was scared of it slipping and burning me on the forehead. Now that I’ve used it more than once, I can totally curl my hair without getting scared.

It’s just learning something new. It’s WAY much better than the traditional irons’ once you get the hang of it. The iron warms up much quicker

Here are some pictures of my hair with different angles. I love that this curling rod lets me get closer to my scalp without burning me or my forehead! I don’t use the heatproof glove that comes with it very often. Once you get the hang of how to hold it, you don’t really need to use it. It’s just a precaution so you don’t burn yourself.

I love that I could create so many different looks with just this one ROD.! I can curl it, make it wavy, flip it out, flip it in, and so much more.

With traditional irons, you usually see the crease of where the clamp on the iron has been. With this rod, there is no clamp, so you don’t have any creases.

I love how they have choices of colors. I have never seen a zebra print curling iron OR rod- until now. I love it. Adam’s mom is a zebra print fanatic, and she will for SURE try and jack this! LOL.

It takes less than a full minute to heat all the way up! So you spend more time curling and less time waiting. The trick to using the rods is to use smaller sections of hair.

You split your hair into 2 sections (top and bottom) put the top part up in a clip or elastic band and start curling on the bottom. These products help create shiny, damage-free, healthy hair.

I only had to keep my hair in the curling position on the rod for about 5-10 seconds to get that perfect wavy/curl look. I could never NEVER get it right with a curling iron-EVER!

This is a top of the line, exceptionally amazing curling rod. It is such great quality. I love that the cord is extra long. I hated using a curling iron with a short cord. Either I couldn’t move around much, or I had to locate an extension cord every time I wanted to curl. NO LONGER!!

Being a mother of 2 kids, I can say that I haven’t had many issues that most women do when having kids. I didn’t gain a ton of weight and I didn’t get stretch marks, but I didn’t GAIN any post-baby weight, which is what I was hoping for.
