25 Hilariously Epic Moving Fails

              moving

Have you ever driven through traffic and just seem something completely idiotic? Something that made you get in the other lane, or stay away completely? People tend to do really unthinkable things to get all their things moved in one trip, here are 25 of those epic times.
  • Sofacycle

    Sofacycle
It's going to be a long moving process for this motorcyclist. We hope he's not a keen pianist. Not only is his fingers going to get smashed, he might break that nose of his.. Flipped over isn’t even going to be the word for this. :/

  • Balancing Act

    Balancing Act
One sharp corner or speed bump and this mover is going to need a whole new garden set. I have no idea why people do this. Overloading can cause wrecks, and look at this goofball. He has taken “overloaded” into a whole new level.

  • Trailer Trash

    Trailer Trash
We hope the driver is taking it very, very steady as he tows a helper and a giant refrigerator along in a teeny tiny trailer. This might not end too well for that “helper”, he might end up the help before long wouldn’t you say? lol

  • Fridge Fail

    Fridge Fail
Another fridge, another brave fool staying strong against the odds in the pursuit of future cold beers. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with a cold beer, but do you really want a broken head to go along with it?

  • Oops!

             Oops!
A trip to Ikea is probably in order for the poor family moving house with this company. That stuff isn’t going to be mendable after that much of a power-slam on the concrete, now is it?

  • Dangerous Move

    Dangerous Move
This gentleman is making a very dangerous move here. One toppling mattress and he's a gonner. He isn’t on the driver side so he can signal the driver is something is tipping, pure genius in making right there!

  • Moving Overload

    Moving Overload
It looks like this mover has performed a pretty impressive balancing act, but we wouldn't want to be behind them on the motorway. That’s like praying for something to come crashing through your window. Here, want a bike for lunch? Nope.. well then carry on.

  • Pedal Power

    Pedal Power
Kudos have to be due to this cyclist. He's pedaling along with a full lounge suite. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen something so creative, or dumb.. either way?!

  • Moving Day

    Moving House
This family are taking moving their shed way, way too seriously. I can just see something bad happening, it isn’t even roped on the back half. I’m pretty sure they have no thought process at all.

  • The Optimists

    The Optimists
Do these movers think this is going to work? Really? Really? How do they seriously think they are going to be able to drive with a door hanging wide open? haha.

  • Appliance Surfing

    Appliance Surfing
Big truck or no big truck, we don't like the look of this tumble dryer transportation. I’d say they were definitely tired of the laundry mat.

  • Chest Crazy

    Chest Crazy
The individual responsible for this massive chest fail is just crazy. Hope they liked the scratched, beaten, half-there antique look, lol.

  • Moving Genius

    Moving Genius
There clearly are no limits to human ingenuity. Here's a man, in a boot, towing a fridge-freezer. Neat. Hopefully they don’t have to stop suddenly or he might eat a refrigerator. That one would be hard to explain to a dentist.

  • Sofa Situation

    Sofa Situation
But before you can start the transportation process, there's that tricky business of safe sofa removal... and count down to disaster. 3,2,1 please someone call 911, we have couch induced splattened man over this way.

  • Bad Start

    Bad Start
This is a very, very bad start (or end?) to moving day. I’d say someone needs their CDL’s jerked. Didn’t they understand the art of the moving truck providing less work? Guess not. Oh well.

  • Pian-oh-no!

    Pian-oh-no!
Pianos are one of the most difficult items to handle in a move. These movers have struck the wrong note. I mean, I was almost sure that was a fishing boat for a second. Geez.

  • Strapping Lads

    Strapping Lads
These guys have done an extremely professional job with that strapping. Nice work. I’m pretty sure they would have strapped their car up there, if they could.
  • Motorcycling Bureau

    Motorcycling Bureau
When they tell you to contact to the motorcycling bureau, this probably isn't what they mean. I’m not even sure how he is keeping that bike balanced, that thing looks super heavy!

  • Sofa So Good

    Sofa So Good
So far, so bad - these guys have hit upon an early technical hitch in the moving process. I mean, I’ve gotten couches in some pretty awkward places, but come on.. lol

  • Family Last

    Family Last
It's important to get your priorities right when you're moving. Household items and motorbikes first, family last. Sorted. Sounds kind of mixed up huh? Hope they hold on super tight is all I have to say.

  • Mobility Scooter

    Mobility Scooter
With age comes great experience, which is why this OAP knows exactly how to use his mobility scooter to move house. I’m super glad he doesn’t have animals.

  • International Moving Fail

    International Moving Fail
Not everybody has the luxury of a nice, big TMF Removals lorry when they move home. Sometimes other modes of transportation are necessary.. That poor donkey just got to experience see-saw at it’s worst.

  • Pianoooooo!

    Pianoooooo!
We told you that pianos are always the first items to hit the deck. Do us a favour, get the professionals in, eh? Even the piano is upset, look at it’s sad face. :/

  • Abseiling Couch

    Abseilling Couch
We really don't think that this couch removal is a smart move. I predict a boom-kapow-splat and split couch, how about you?

  • Invisible Furniture

    Invisible Furniture
Of course, it could all be worse. You could be like this family whose movers completely failed to deliver their possessions one whole month after moving day. Fail. That is something I couldn’t deal with, I have to have my stuff!!
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen someone do while moving their stuff?
Move all your stuff safely and avoid any funny stuff with TFM removals.

Epson LabelWorks LW-600P App-enabled Portable Label Printer

20141002_020411

diclosure-review giveaway
Being organized is easier than ever with the Epson LabelWorks LW-600P Portable Label Printer. I can print labels no matter where I am, with whatever device is near. It works with smartphones, tablets, and PC or Mac. Prints from iOS and Android devices, as well as Windows and Mac computers. I’m pretty sure I might have labeled everything in my house, oops. lol

It  has a very cool design resembling a little tower that comes with a desk top computer. It comes with the AC adapter that is needed to charge it, as well as the USB cord to plug it into your computer. It is powered either by the AC adapter, or 6 AA batteries. I use batteries, but anywhere that has an outlet will work for the AC Adapter.

       Screenshot_2014-10-02-01-21-18[1] Screenshot_2014-10-02-01-22-35[1]

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, so I downloaded the Epson Iprint app which took about a minute tops. Connected via Bluetooth instantly, no problems EVER with connection. If you see the red x that says you aren’t connected, just click on the wheel (settings) button and click which printer you want to use. You’ll see the LW-600P on the list, just click the button.

20141002_013625

It will let you know that it is printing, and then the label will appear underneath the window. The label is automatically cut, saving me the time and hassle of doing it myself. I can just reach, grab the label, peel off the back, and stick it wherever I want it.

20141002_013743 20141002_013803

I used the label maker to organize my office, which needed it badly. I was having issues finding what I needed, when I needed it. The Epson LabelWorks printer definitely made my work life easier. Now I know which binder I need to grab, no more guessing. I even used it to sort my books by genre, how cool!

20141002_013731 20141002_013722

My files and file boxes are also now VERY neatly organized. I used the label maker to print off months, weeks, and review genres so that I know what needs to be done. I also used it to organize my blog post ideas. No more overflowing file folders. How nice.

It comes with 2 free rolls of tape to get you started. You can see through the windows in the front and side, so you know at all times how much tape you have left. There are so many things you can do with this, it’s unbelievable. You can make labels for your food pantry, Movies, and books. Print ribbons for gift tags, create codes for your business, or label your tax information by month. Easy as pie.
  • Print smarter — print labels using your iOS or Android™ smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth®
  • Print on the go — compact and battery operated1; also includes an AC adapter
  • Preview labels before printing — save time, reduce waste
  • Versatile — adhesive labels up to one-inch wide, ribbons, iron-on labels, wiring labels, QR code labels and more
  • Personalized — add symbols and graphics or a hand-written message
  • Easy — built-in automatic cutter enables you to quickly print multiple labels
  • Fast — get the labels you want in seconds
  • You talk, it prints2 — supports smartphones and tablets with voice recognition

Smead Erasable File Folders and Office Supplies #Review #ShopletReviews

 20140926_234442
*Stylish Southern Mama received the below mentioned item in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and completely honest.

Smead has developed the most genius organizing system I think I’ve ever witnessed. Erasable file folders? Count me in! I have to have folders to keep my thoughts organized about what I need to do, what’s already been done, posts, books, kids homework, and all that. These are reusable so not only are they eco-friendly but it saves a ton of time and money.

 Smead Erasable Supertab File Folders
erasable

Smead Erasable SuperTab File Folders are amazing. They have a special erasable surface that makes them reusable. I can write directly on the tab with a permanent marker, and edit or erase as needed. The marker can easily be erased with any standard white eraser.

er 1

Being able to erase permanent marker is amazing. It’s very eco-friendly. Instead of tossing old files when you’re done, you can just edit them. I love the fact that it doesn’t leave behind any messy smudges, so it looks brand new. Less file folders tossed in the garbage, and more money for other things! Win-win!

er 2

It’s also different from other folders because there is more writing room. For someone who writes larger naturally, it was a relief. I was tired of writing very small and not being able to see it. I could never just glance over and see what I needed, I had to search. Now I can easily see what I’ve written because I can get away with writing bigger.

The folders are great quality and very sturdy. They aren’t flimsy and can take a lot of scuffing. They aren’t going to tear up easily, so they last longer! 24 come in each pack, so it’s definitely a better bargain!

Smead Erasable FasTab Hanging File Folders
fastab1

Smead Erasable FasTab Hanging Folders are just like the regular erasable file folders, but these hang inside file boxes or filing cabinets. For me, it’s easier to organize certain stuff in different file boxes. I got some decorated ones (one small, one big, and a magazine holder) for cheap and keep organized like that.
           20140926_224817
If I don’t keep everything sorted, I easily become disorganized. Papers, papers, and more papers everywhere. My office seems to get swallowed by papers every once in a while, which is why I bought the file boxes.

You can write straight on the tab and then edit it later. Totally reusable, which I love. I love the bright colors, makes the folders stand out 10x more. Add a little spice to YOUR office supplies, they are amazing.

The quality of the folders are strong and well designed. They are strong and durable, they aren’t cheaply made. You’ll be using them for a VERY long time. They also come with a bigger writing space than other hanging file folders. Being able to edit or erase something completely on a file folder just makes me happy!

No more plastic inserts. I don’t even think I ever even wrote on them most of the time. I’d have to spend a ton of time flipping through each folder to see what it contained. I could never get the paper back into the plastic insert right (or write small enough for that tiny piece of paper). This is a work at home dream! Organizing at it’s best.

Smead Organized Up Heavyweight Vertical Folders
vertical
Smead Organized Up Heavyweight Vertical File Folder lets you file and organize your documents in an upright position. The best way to stay organized is to organize your files the way they are printed and read. No more crumpled or lost papers.

These files are absolutely amazing. Built with a super durable, heavyweight that is also water-resistant. These are perfect for taking back and forth to school or work in your backpack or laptop case. You don’t have to worry about your paper slipping out every chance it gets. The fold to these folders are on the bottom, so paper can’t escape at all.

20140926_231053
I love the colors available. I love color and adding it into my office any chance I can get. These vertical folders come in pink, orange, and green (my fav☼). Filing papers and not worrying they are going to fall out is a major plus!

The folders feel more like cardstock than a regular folder, so that’s also a huge plus in my book. The thick, sturdy material of these folders make them so much more durable and last much longer than a traditional folder.

There are tabs present on both sides of the file folders. Whether you want to file them sideways or vertical, you can easily store them that way. No more lost presentations!!

Smead Step Index Organizer
expand

Smead Step Index Organizer has an innovative tiered tab with clear view, so you can see everything at a glance. It is made with high quality, durable embossed poly material that keep it moisture and tear resistant.
20140926_232611

It comes with pre-printed labels as well as blank ones. I needed something to organize my blog by monthly dates, so I know what to write during those months. For instance, Coffee Day is at the end of September. Fall fashion posts and anything pumpkin related can start in late September, early October.

Helps keep me on schedule, and I love the silver color of it. I’ve had plenty of these organizers (not by smead) and they ended up cracking over the year I needed to use it. This one is very durable and can withstand holding 600 pages at a time. I love that.

Shoplet offers a large assortment of office supply products for businesses while keeping the environment in mind.

How would these keep you organized?

Book Review: Jump Start HTML5; O’Reilly Media

                         html5
diclosure-review giveaway

Jump Start HTML5 is a short book that provides a practical introduction to HTML5. HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the predominant language of web pages. Originally developed as a way to describe and share scientific papers, HTML is now used to mark up all sorts of documents and create visual interfaces for browser-based software.
With HTML5, however, HTML has become as much an of API for developing browser-based software as it is a markup language. In this book, we'll talk about the history of HTML and HTML5 and explore its new features.
It covers:
  • HTML5 basics
  • Multimedia
  • Canvas and SVG
  • HTML5 applications
  • HTML5 APIs
HTML5 is required knowledge for every professional web designer and developer. This book will quickly get you up to speed with the fundamentals of HTML5 and give you the confidence to start experimenting on your own.

My Review
I have been designing my own blog graphics, backgrounds, and buttons for a long time now. I taught myself with HTML books and reading websites based on website design. It’s not hard if you have the right books to teach you what you’re supposed to be learning. O’Reilly Media produces many of the books that have helped me along the way.

This book is no different. HTML changes up so fast, just like the internet that it’s best to stay on top of stuff. Something you design today could not be relevant in the next month. HTML is always updating, but the basics almost always stay the same.

If you want to learn how to design websites, graphics, or anything that will be places on the internet, you’ll need to learn HTML design. It’s the basic of all website design. I started out with Head First HTML from O’Reilly Media (GREAT read by the way). Same as this book, it is a great place to start for those wanting to learn HTML5 without all the complications.

Fashion Project- Shop for A Cause! #FashionProject

fashion pr
Do you love to shop online? Always looking for amazing deals? What if I told you that there is a website where you could do both AND donate to charity while doing it? Fashion Project is an absolute inspiration to me. They sell designer clothes just like you’d find at high price stores; Prada, J.Crew, Tory Burch, Coach.. but deeply discounted and 55% of each sale goes to charity.

No matter what you’re looking for, they have it. Boots, handbags, dresses, jewelry, suits, and so much more. There really isn’t anything on the website I wouldn’t consider buying. They have a keen eye on beautifully designed items that people WILL want to wear. I’m not even THAT into dresses but there were several I wanted to scoop up, and did I mention they were under $20. An absolute STEAL!
                    american arag dress
This dress is made by American Rag and just calls my attention. I am loving the vibrant colors of the leopard print, and the wrap around ribbon middle. ONLY $19 and it would look amazing with some black stilettos, or even some gladiator sandals. Perfect for date night, a night out with your girlfriends, or even a dinner date with your husbands bosses. Toss a shawl on, and out you go.

What I love most about Fashion Project is that it tells you what cause you’re supporting with each buy right under the item for sell. Buying this dress would contribute money to the Youth Suicide Prevention Program, which I firmly stand behind all the way.

                             miss me

These 7 for all Mankind jeans are only $25 and supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Inc. I love light washed jeans, I always have. They are usually darker with a light washed out look on the knee up. I am also loving that they are bell-bottom flares. I’ll never really get used to skinny jeans (except with my boots). Love the jeans though and the cause!

                coach purse

I love the high quality purses and wallets from Coach. They make so many varieties of sizes and colors that it’s hard not to want them ALL. This purse is ONLY $65 and donates $24.75 of the purchase to She’s the First. “She's the First sponsors girls’ education in the developing world with the goal of creating first-generation graduates and our next generation of global leaders.”

At Fashion Project, their goal is to raise as much money as possible for charity by creating a community where their members can shop for a cause they care about. They also accept gently used clothing so that charities get the money they need. Their members are heroes - every sweater, handbag, or designer shoe donated, starts a movement that impacts the lives of others around the world.

how it works

They have some very cute fall items out right now. Stock up your closet! This website would also be perfect shopping for all those women on your holiday list!! Get to shopping.

What’s your favorite item or charity that they sponsor?
