PARNEVU Hair Products Review: Hair Mayonnaise, Shampoo, & Leave-in Conditioner

Parnevu is a premium brand of hair care products for your irritating hair problems. I tend to have REALLY oily roots but the ends of my hair dry out really badly because I dye my hair too much. My hair also tends to get frizzy if I don’t flat-iron it after blowdrying (which ALSO leads to MORE damage).

Although Parnevu is more of an African-American type of hair products, they can AND do work for any and all kinds of hair (TYPICALLY for dry hair). I wouldn’t recommend using these on a daily basis for white people since our hair naturally produces more oil, but these products are AMAZING for once or twice a week!

Parnevu sent me three products to try, and the first one I’ll tell you about is the Parnevu Hair Mayonnaise. This product treats weak, damaged hair. It contains olive oil, egg protein and herbs.

It comes in a 16 ounce tub with a twist on lid. I’ve already used it more than 6 times, and still have half a tub left (but my hair is long). You can use these a couple different ways.

You can shampoo your hair and then put this on—leave it for 10-15 minutes and cover hair with a cap or a hot wet towel (AND blow dry the towel) for a deeper penetration into the hair shaft.

I just wrapped my hair up in my shower curtain and left it for 10 minutes before rinsing it out. The hair mayonnaise is very thick and creamy and smells good too!

It rubs right in my hair (I do use 2 palm size drops). I loved how IMMEDIATE the results were. Within the first use my hair was more manageable, less dehydrated, shinier, and healthier looking. My hair was even THICKER with more volume!

The ends of my hair weren’t brittle anymore, and  couldn’t tell that there was any previous damage with just a few uses. Before this treatment I would lose a LOT of strands every time I got in the shower and then brushed it. I seriously felt like a dog shedding it’s winter coat. Since I’ve been using this, I’ve noticed less falling strands in the shower!

PARNEVU T-Tree Shampoo is a unique blend of botanicals designed to cleanse the hair and scalp of impurities. It locks in the moisture that can escape when hair becomes damaged from perming, dying, straightening, or blow drying!

This is an ultra-rich, thick, and creamy shampoo but it lathers AMAZINGLY which surprised me because of the thickness, I thought it would feel more like an organic shampoo (which almost feels like rubbing a lotion in because they have almost no lather).

I love how well it washes and rinses out in just ONE wash. I had been having VERY itchy scalp AND dandruff before using this. It was a combination of tanning and product buildup. This caused the itching to go away because it washed the product residue away and moistened my scalp.

Even the first time I used this I could tell how silky my hair became as SOON as it was applied to my hair. I was like “WOW”. Instant silkiness which is HUGE for me! I love soft hair.. I felt like I didn’t even need to use a conditioner because the shampoo was so nourishing.

The last item is the Parnevu T-Tree Leave in Conditioner. It is uniquely formulated to penetrate, heal and moisturize dry, damaged hair and flaky, itchy scalp. Regular use promotes the natural healing process for total hair and scalp health.

This has also helped with my itchy and flaking scalp. I have to say it’s the lightest leave-in conditioner that I’ve use. Usually I can’t do leave-ins because they leave my hair oily and looking like I dumped a pit of grease on my head. This didn’t though!

I love that my hair has become so vibrant and healthy without the weight and heaviness of too much product. I can blow dry my hair without it looking or feeling oily or greasy. It stays free from fly-away hair and those awful frizz moments.

My Review*

I’m a true supporter of Enjoy products. Not only are they a dependable company with high quality products but they last a very long time too. I have straight hair anyway, but I like to add straightening products as well as a flat iron to get the kinks out and reduce the frizz that happens if I don’t use any products.

Enjoy products always smell amazing AND they are very effective. It is extremely smoothing and flattening without feeling gunky, oily, or building up junk in your hair. I love that it makes my hair extremely soft and smells amazing. Most styling products don’t smell so great.. and it overpowers shampoo and conditioner—so all you smell is the smell of the styling products. Having something that smells great is extra plus!

My hair is sleek, smooth, and holds nicely without frizz all day. The bottle is humungous so you get a lot of product (which will last quite a long time). I didn’t have to use very much at all to tame my hair!

It has a gel-like consistency and absorbs very quickly into my hair! I love that it doesn’t take awhile for it to really “get inside” the strands. I can put this on my damp hair and blow-dry it and I’m ready to go. No more hot irons AND blow-dryers at the same time!

It has a purple tint and a push-down top. I love the push down tops that all Enjoy products have. It makes it so much easier to throw in an overnight bag and take with me. I don’ have to worry about the bottle coming open and spilling inside my bag.

The Shine & Smooth Gel

This is a small bottle (only 4 ounces) but it comes with a lot of bang. I only need to use a VERY small amount (less than a dime size) to get the desired smoothness!

I have tried a TON of smoothing creams, gels, and serums in my day and most of them left my hair weighted down and VERY oily looking. I want to have smooth hair, but I definitely don’t want my hair to look like I could fry an egg on top of it.

That’s one of the reasons I love this product so much. It smells amazing and NEVER makes my hair look oily or greasy. It gives the desired smoothness without weighing it down or making my hair smell horrible.

I blow-dry and straighten my hair almost daily, and I can see a big difference in the damage department from using this product. It seems to keep the damage at bay by wrapping it in little silk bubbles.

I love how soft and silky my hair is. I can style it afterwards and it is still absolutely FRIZZ FREE! Even when I let my hair air dry (which makes it 10x more frizzier) and then put this in my hair—I feel like one of those girls from a Pantene commercial..

Review: ONE Styling- Crush Mini Flat Iron

One Styling is a very innovative styling tool company. They have everything you need to look beautiful right at your fingertips. Blow-dryers, Flat Irons, Curling Rods, and accessories.

I was very fortunate to get to work with them on a review of their Crush Mini Flat Iron. I love that they offer a color variety in most of their products. Of course you KNEW I’d flip out over the lime green.

I love that the flat iron heating part is colored. Makes it SO  unique, and looks so good on my bathroom counter! There are 3 other color selections in the Mini Flat Iron other than the one you see above. They have Raspberry (pink), Silver, and Black.

I absolutely LOVE this mini flat iron. It adds a little oomph to my hair styling! It heats up VERY quickly. As soon as I plug it up, it’s hot within 30 seconds! I love that I don’t have to wait to get styling.

Usually I can be pretty lazy after I get out of the shower or bath. I’ll just throw my hair up in a bun and go to bed. The next morning- I wake up like this!

So, as you can see- I desperately need help taming my mane after a night of not wanting to blow-dry it. DO not let the name “MINI” confuse or fool you. As long as my hair is, I can easily straighten my hair with this! ABSOLUTLEY no problem at all.

The smallness of the flat iron makes it easier for my hands to grip. This also makes it really easy to get real straight hair without the frumps! The best thing about it is that it automatically calibrates heater based on hair texture.

So if you have thin hair, it decreases the heat, so that you aren’t at risk for being burned. If you have thick hair, the heat increases so that you are getting ALL of your hair and not just the top layers!

The Dry Shampoo

I have horribly oily hair, so I am always trying to find something to kill the greasiness. I can wash it one day, and the VERY next day it is already oily and looking like it hasn’t been washed in a week. This dry shampoo is like an answered prayer for me.

I’ve tried other dry shampoo’s (the kind that you spray in) and I could NEVER get the white spots out.  No matter how far away I sprayed it from my hair, the whiteness would still be there.

That’s the reason I love that this is a powder. I can sprinkle as much or as little as I need into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and apply it straight to my roots. I can do this to the sides, back, AND top of my hair without the white spots.

I love that it INSTANTLY soaks up the oil. The texture is very much like baby powder because it’s made with corn starch and french white clay. It doesn’t smell overpowering, too strong, or like I’m rubbing (spraying) lemon air freshener on my head.

Next up is the Argan Stem Cell Leave in Conditioner. My hair long, which requires some extra TLC. Thanks to the Blow-drying, dying, straightening, and curling- it has its share of damage. I love this leave-in conditioner because it helps heal the damaged bits of my hair without weighing it down and making it oily.

I just spray a little on my hands, and rub it through my hair (NOT my roots). It really moisturizes, hydrates, and nourishes those split ends, damaged strands, and reduces the frizz that usually comes after I’ve dried my hair!

My hair feels so much thicker, smoother, and there wasn’t even a hint of dryness. I have been spraying my hair every morning after getting out of the shower, and WOW- I LOVE it! It’s my new must HAVE leave-in! Usually leave-ins are too oily, but this is hydrating without the oiliness.

Review: nuNAAT Deep Shampoo & Conditioner, Leave-in Reconstructor, & Intensive Hair Mask

Until last June I hadn’t dyed my hair in more than 4 years. I just left it as it was, same boring brunette/blonde mixture. It’s really weird because it’s lighter in the summer, darker in the winter..

This summer, I was really REALLY thinking about dying my hair a really dark brown or black. I ended up getting a free coupon, so I just went for it. Dark Brown with a mixture of a red.

Then I ended up getting some Jet black and putting low-lights in it. THEN I dyed it again a month later (BRIGHT RED). It ended up blending perfectly with the black to create a deep maroon/black color. I LOVE the color, but I could definitely feel my once silky soft locks turning not so silky!

I was excited when I got a chance to review the nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin Product line. They ended up sending me 4 items; the Deep Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner, Liquid Keratin Leave-in Reconstructor, & the Intensive Hair Mask.

This entire Keratin system was beyond brilliant. They all work together to repair cuticles of the hair, repair and reconstruct hair fibers, seal the hair cuticles, restore natural shine and softness, reduces volume and frizz, and to make hair more healthy. ALL of this without any formaldehyde and sodium-chloride!

This is recommended for people who have dyed hair, chemically processed hair, or just overly tired! It works for any and all hair types and is safe for every day use!

The first step is of course the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo has a suitable lather to it. It is concocted with mild surfactants, keratin, and amino acids, which furnishes a deep cleansing without being rough on the hair.  The Conditioner includes keratin and amino acids, which function to decrease frizz and train unruly hair. They left my hair feeling soft, smooth, moisturized, and smelling great!

 

The second step is the Liquid Keratin Leave-in Reconstructor. This is a non-rinse formula. A considerable amount should be used all over the hair, make sure you rub it in for a minute or so. Blow dry as you normally would and then straighten with a  flat iron to seal the hair cuticles. This causes the keratin to access the hair fibers effortlessly.

The last step is the Intensive Hair Mask. It is rubbed in after your hair has been shampooed for an intensely deep hydration. Let it sit for 10 minutes & then rinse well.

My hair texture has vastly improved, it has definitely done a 180* here. The ends that were beginning to split, are beginning to heal. The brittleness, brokenness, and rough ends are no longer detectable! This is a huge relief to me. I take huge pride in my hair, always have! I didn’t mean to end up coloring it SO much, but I am glad that nuNAAT has helped me out for making those unthinkable choices.

My hair definitely has more shimmer, shine, and luster to it. It was beginning to look dull because it stayed frizzy and unmanageable because I’d been overdoing it. Now it looks like there isn’t a blow dryer, flat iron, and dye job been done on it! I am SO happy with the results. I’ve only been using this for a little over a month!

Although these products have helped my hair regaining it’s natural health, it doesn’t weigh my hair down. I was glad because my hair is naturally oily at the roots anyway. I did want the help, but I didn’t want my hair to look like it hadn’t been washed. Glad to report that it didn’t make my hair look oily in the least little bit! Thumbs up ALL the way around from this way!

As I looked up the benefits that Jojoba Oil has on the hair- I realized that these benefits are AMAZING. Jojoba OIl is much in the same as our own scalp oil (sebum).

As I started using this shampoo, I could immediately tell that the health of my hair was improving vastly. Jojoba Oil works awesome for people who have dry, damaged, or brittle hair.

As a trick I’ve learned over the years- when you wash your hair- you NEED to avoid washing your hair in extremely hot water. It damages the hair because it strips it of it’s natural oils. I didn’t realize how much my hair was being weighed down by the chemicals in my mousse and hairspray. Even using a regular shampoo that isn’t sulfate free. I didn’t only noticed extra weight, but my hair tended to get oily very quickly.

I was washing my hair almost daily because of how oily it looked. Now I don’t have to worry about that. The Pearl Shampoo takes all those chemicals and washes them down the drain, leaving my hair shiny, soft, manageable and CLEAN.

CLEAN as in- No chemicals, extremely moisturized yet not oily, and SHINY. It also has aloe vera and chamomile as ingredients. I also researched the benefit of both of these- and Oh my- I didn’t know the extent of the benefits that these give hair!

The aloe vera can help assist in hair growth, and it can heal and most of the time cure scalp problems. Chamomile helps to make your hair look naturally healthy, while nourishing and providing moisture.

The shampoo smells amazing; a mixture of cilantro, pineapple, and citrus! YUM. I love the silky texture of the shampoo. It is a yellowish color with tiny little blue beads that you can actually SEE inside the shampoo. The beads are filled with Jojoba oil and the beads burst as you rub the shampoo in! It’s amazing.

Acidifying Conditioner

Formulated with the perfect pH balance to lock in color by sealing the cuticle. One single application is effective (not to mention convenient) enough to defend against aggressive alkaline chemicals and neutralize post–coloring odors. Frizzies beware.

Since I have been using this conditioner with the Pearl Shampoo, I have noticed such a HUGE improvement in the overall texture of my hair. It is astonishing what changing it up can do for you!

This conditioner is astonishing and awe-inspiring because it gave my hair such fantastic body. I think it’s because seals the cuticle of the hair. So not only is it preventing frizz, but it has locked in my color to make it more vibrant.

I had literally JUST colored my hair when I started using the conditioner. It still had that “dye” smell to it. After using this conditioner, it was NO more. No matter what I had tried to do to get rid of it before, didn’t work, I could STILL smell it.

Shine Cream

Blow dry, style, or detangle with this multi-tasking weightless cream. Made with almond and carrot oil to bestow shine even on the dullest tresses, ideal even for fine hair.

I have fallen head over heels in LOVE with this shine cream. It really really makes a difference in the smoothness and shininess in my hair. I can blow-dry my hair, rub a small dab on my hair and it lasts all day.

The main thing that separates this from other anti-frizz like creams is this doesn’t really have an oily feeling to it. It feels more like a lotion/conditioner that you rub in your hair.

It’s such a creamy consistency that is basically weightless. It is absolutely perfect for my naturally oily hair.! It smells amazing and is the light blue color that you see in the picture above. 

I love to use this before blow-drying and straightening, because it makes my long hair more manageable! I truly truly LOVE this!

The Cure 24/7 Split End Mender Review

This Split end mender is a leave-in treatment conditioner. It helps to re-strengthen the hair follicles and fibers so that your hair is silky smooth and takes back the health it once knew.

I’ve been using this split end mender for more than 3 weeks now, and am very pleased with the results of my hair health. The best thing about this is that you can apply to wet OR dry hair.

I have been doing both. I will shampoo and condition my hair, let it dry a little, and then put this in my hair. It has a pump action bottle, so you don’t get too much and waste it.

I only needed about a quarter size to get my medium thick long hair covered. You rub this on your roots and work your way down to the ends (starting in 3 sections). Section off your hair in left, right, and back sections- that way you know your getting ALL of the roots and every hair strand without leaving any out. Then comb through to distribute it evenly.

You can apply other styling products on top of this and it will still work without any problems at all. Whether it’s mousse, hair gel, or hairspray- this is the protectant underneath, revitalizing and replenishing your locks!

This is a clear, whitish liquid that goes a long way and smells amazing. Below are two pictures. One of the liquid in my hand and then another of the ends of my hair. So that you can see that all the split ends have regrouped into healthy strands of hair.

Strengthening hair has never been more convenient. I can throw this in my purse and take with me wherever I go. I can use this during the day not only to treat my hair, but to also reduce the frizz. It IS a smoother and I could tell within minutes that my hair was easier to manage and wasn’t as “brittle”.

This product is SO amazing that it was featured in Allure Magazine as a way to help treat damaged and dry hair.! This has been tried and recommended by MANY people, myself included.

This basically conditions and holds split ends together so they aren’t visible at all. This doesn’t come out when you shampoo it either, it lasts through 2-3 shampoos before it washes out- so your hair is getting protection for 2-3 days from one use. This means that it is only needed a couple of times a week! MORE to use, YAY for your pocket AND your hair!

Klorane specifically selected Mango butter because of it’s nourishing properties. It also has the essential fatty acids that hair needs to restore to a healthy, vibrant look.

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for awhile now, and I am seriously in love with these items. Even the shampoo has a creamy, silky texture that just seeps into the hair and leaves it feeling ABSOLUTELY amazing.

I blow-dry and straighten my hair every single day. It has really made an impact on my hair. My hair was beginning to feel dried out and dehydrated. The ends were looking rough and were starting to itch my back when I wore it down.

You can leave the shampoo AND conditioner on for 2-3 minutes instead of washing it out right after putting it on, so that your hair gets time to soak up even more of the treatment!

This shampoo and conditioner line from Klorane is BRILLIANT. Not only has my hair begun feel the silky smooth that it used to before the damage, but it also has reduced the frizz after I blow-dry it, so I don’t have to straighten it. This will eventually lead to less damage over time because I am not straightening it every single day.

I don’t even really need to conditioner, just the shampoo is WAY more nourishing then most commercial brands. But when using both the shampoo and conditioner, I’m pretty sure my hair thinks that it has gone to heaven. It soaks up the nutrients and fatty acids as if it were completely dead.

I had never used mango in a hair care line before, and let me tell you- I am SO glad I have. I So feel like I’ve been at the spa because this smells absolutely delicious and my hair looks amazing.

The conditioner locks in moisture so that your hair stays hydrated all DAY long. I couldn’t help but keep running my hands through my hair because it felt SOOO awesome. My hair has become more healthy, more manageable, shinier, and WITH NO knots what-so-ever.

If your hair is dry or damaged, I would HIGHLY recommend these products to you. As soon as you drop some of either into your palm, you can automatically tell WHY it works so well on the hair because it feels like pure silk. They are creamy and ORANGE.. ♥

The bottles are quite big, so just one bottle of the shampoo and conditioner will leave you with at least 2 months of use (even if you use it every day). The conditioner might run a little shorter than 2 months but if you do- You can just use the shampoo and not even worry about the conditioner.

I would rate both of these products a 10/10 on my hair care list. These are absolute must haves for those locks just begging for moisture. SO- what are you waiting for?

My Thoughts*

 

Just over the past year, my hair has become damaged and frizzy because of the amount of heat styling I use. I blow-dry and straighten my hair daily. One-Two times weekly I curl it. I have tried many items to cut down on the split ends and damage that I’ve done to it.

Nothing has been working. I thought about the Emtage Silktage Rejuvenating Styling Serum Organic Oil to help me out. As soon as I got this, I was dying to try it and see the results! I opened the package, and noticed it had a screw on top.

You unscrew it and it has a small hole in the top of the bottle. You just tip it over and it drips small drops into your hand. I use about 3-5 drops at a time. You can use this on wet, damp, or dry hair. It is light brown in color and smells good too. You can smell the organics in it, so it does smell a bit, but it still smells good.

This is SO naturally healing and extremely great for dry, damaged hair. After the FIRST use, my hair felt smoother and was easier to manage. There is no silicone or chemicals inside this oil, which makes it EVEN better.

If you read the ingredients, Organic Camellia Oil is the first ingredient, Monoi Oil, Broccoli seed oil.. So only naturally occurring products in it. This is PURE magic. My hair looks the best it has in the past year. It has basically restored my hair to where it was before I harmed it with blow-drying and flat irons.

My hair was never weighed down or sticky like most healing oils. Not only did this help with my split ends, but it added volume to my fine hair when used as a before shampoo treatment.

My head usually itches from dry scalp, and no matter what dandruff shampoo I use: I still get that pricky pokey feeling sometimes. This has definitely restored the moisture to my scalp AND my hair!

I use this as a BEFORE shampoo treatment twice a week, and leave it on for 30 minutes. Then I wash and condition as usual, then put a couple more drops in my wet hair and blow-dry it. THEN I put a couple more drops on my hair and straighten it. It looks beautiful, shiny, and OH SO HEALTHY!

I have had SO many complements on how thick, shiny, and silky my hair looks. It makes me feel amazing to get these complements and it’s because of this MAGIC oil! I have never used a serum or oil that reduces frizz and split ends like this does.!

This can also be used as a moisturizer on the skin because of the all natural ingredients. After shaving, I can rub some of this on my legs to give my legs a shiny healthy luminous look.
