One Styling Tools: Crush 1” Flat Iron Review- Say Bye-Bye to Boring!

Even though I’ve had straight hair since the day I was born, I’ve been straightening it with flat irons since I was in high school. Flat Irons aren’t just for those with a head of massive curls or even wavy hair. I use them to add shine to my hair and tame the unmanageable, unruly frizz that my hair has.

One Styling has plenty of Styling Products that will leave you open mouthed and drooling. They aren’t just gorgeously designed but high quality and affordable as well. Inside a very small package arrived the flat iron of my dreams.

I was sent the One Crush 1” Flat Iron to review. Everyone knows that lime green is my go-to favorite color of all time. I was super excited to see that they had a white flat iron with lime green plates. “Ahhhhhhhh… I just imagine the birds singing me my very own song.”

My hair has definitely been thanking me since I’ve started using the Crush One 1” Flat Iron. My hair looks and feels so amazing, shiny, and smooth. All the frizz from the humidity of the summer is long gone, thank God because I was beginning to think I was related to Simba and deserved a role in the Lion King. With this flat iron all the frizz is gone and all that’s left behind is remarkably gorgeous hair.

This flat iron has an off/on switch on the inside and a red light comes on to let you know that it’s been turned on. It also has a temperature dial on the inside as well, which ranges from 140* to 450*.

It seriously makes me feel like I could walk onto the set of a Pantene commercial and steal the spotlight. My hair just looks so sleek and silky now and it’s completely effortless! My hair is straight but it also very stubborn. I crank that dial up all the way up to 450* and give it a minute to work it’s magic and get super hot!

I absolutely love the fact that it takes me less than 15 minutes total to straighten all my hair. This is a high quality flat iron for a third of the cost of the others yet works just as great as they do if not better. It’s excellency at it’s best.

Other flat irons usually snag and pull my hair. It makes me feel like I am going half bald and might be all the way bald at some point if I kept using them. My mom has short hair and some that pull my hair don’t pull hers, so it might be the fact that my hair is super long.

This flat iron is ideal for all hair types thanks to the wide temperature range. You would use the lowest temperature setting (140*) for very thin or short hair. If  you have extremely thick, unruly, or curly hair you’ll need to kick it in high gear and use it on the highest temperature setting (450*).

It traps in the moisture, so you don’t ever have to worry about it damaging your hair or drying it out. I love that fact that it seems to suck the dullness right out of my hair. It definitely adds a ton of shine while making my hair look healthy and beautiful. It seems to have magically bottled up sunshine and delivers it to each strand every time I flat iron my hair! AMAZING!

I couldn’t be happier with this flat iron if I tried! It fits in my hand perfectly. I don’t have to worry about it slipping out of my hand and accidentally burning me. I love the fact that the on/off switch and temperature dial are on the inside of the flat iron so I don’t accidentally turn it off as I’m fixing my hair.

I ended up getting the Lime Green Desktop Set. It comes with 2 Inboxes; Accessory Tray; Pen Cup; and 1 box of Lime Green Signature Ballpoint pens. The Lime inboxes are not only beautiful but extremely helpful in keeping me organized. They can be stacked ay way that suits your needs and organization style.  The letter trays are designed to hold up to 300 pieces of paper.

The accessory tray is an amazing asset to the letter trays. It gives that extra space that we all crave in out offices. It can and will hold anything you want to put in it and look good doing it! They can be stacked on top of the letter trays or off to the side, however you want it, It’s all up to you.

The pen cup has two organization compartments. You can put pens in one side, pencils in the other so that you can just reach over and grab whatever you have the feel for at the moment. You won’t have to search and search for a pen anymore!

Lastly, the Lime Signature Ball Point Pens have a modern designed metal clip that really sets these pens apart from any regular ballpoint pen. The quality of these pens are simply superb, which really surprised me. Usually when I get ballpoint pens in bulk that are non-name brand they scratch the page and don’t write very well.

When I use these pens they glide right across the page without any glitches!  As a writer, a pen is a daily tool in my life. I have to have a pen that isn’t only reliable but comfortable as well. My thoughts flow, and my pen follows. I don’t have to sit and tap my pen over and over because it has skipped out on me.

When that happens I could lose my inspiration, train of thought, and word flow. I don’t have to worry about that with these pens. They roll on and never hesitate to pull through. A box of these beautiful pens contain 12 each, so I know I’m good for at least a little while!

Forever Pure Beauty Mineral Eye Shadow & Cream Eye Liner Review & Giveaway

Trying any kind of makeup product is always fun. I love to transform myself into an at-home makeup artist if only for a little while. Putting on makeup feels like to me like an artist painting a canvas. Once you find the perfect medium , you can do wonders with it.

The Forever Pure Beauty eye shadows are very versatile eye shadows.  The eye shadows are made from pure, crushed minerals without any added colorants and dyes. This line of eye shadow is made with nothing but pure, natural minerals. They are 100% vegan and gluten free.

I ended up getting 4 colors of my choice of eye shadows. I ended up choosing the silver bullet, storm cloud, smoky plum, and canyon rock. The Silver Bullet eye shadow is a Mineral Satin while the rest that I chose were Matte Minerals.

The silver bullet is a mineral satin mineral eye shadow that is mostly shimmery, not sparkly with glitter which I appreciate and love. It produces a gorgeous satin shimmer without being too  showy or full of glimmer. I like the sheen that comes from a shimmery eye shadow but could do without picking glitter off my face all day.

This eye shadow is a medium shimmery silver/gray which really makes the name perfect for this  beautiful gun metal silver/gray shadow. I love how it looks when dry as a shadow or highlighter (upper eye lid) or wet as a liner! It definitely makes the eyes pop either way. It’s a breathtaking color that will never hesitate to capture attention.

Mineral Matte Shadows are free of FD&C dyes, lakes, talc, bismuth oxychloride, and petroleum by-products. The Matte line of shadows are designed to be matte yet never flat. They are highly pigmented; soft, silky, and delicate with a wide variety of colors!

Smoky Plum: I love this color. This deep grayish plum really brings out my hazel eyes. It looks fabulous as both an eye shadow and as a highlighter. It doesn’t look over the top but it definitely creates a beautiful dramatic look.

What gives it the smoky look is the gray undertones. The gray undertones is also what makes it so remarkable on any skin color, mixed with any other eye shadow, and pops with any eye color. This is truly my favorite eye shadow at the moment and I have a TON of eye shadows, including 2 palettes with more than 100 shadows each.

Canyon Rock- This is a medium matte neutral earthy beige. This color looks more taupe beige to me. It’s a very khaki like color and works amazing as a highlighter. When I use the Smoky Plum, I use this on the bottom lid and the Smoky Plum as the highlighter.

This duo is irresistible and absolutely remarkable together. The canyon Rock is more of a neutral color so it lays dormant while letting the other color take center stage.

Storm Cloud- This looks like any regular gray shaded eye shadow until you apply it. That’s when you notice it’s deep bluish gray tint. It gives my eyes a definite pop that brings out the specks in my hazel eyes! I love it.

It looks amazing when blended with a regular gray or silver or even a silver shimmer such as the Silver Bullet. It also looks amazing with the Smoky Plum which is a purple with gray undertones. They definitely compliment each other!

Overall*

I love the variety of colors that they offer. They span from delicately elegant, soft hues to a more colorful, vibrantly bold. No matter what your style of makeup may be, you’ll definitely find more than a few favorites to add to your makeup stash.

The eye shadows can be blended together to give you a unique color that is personal to you. They can be layered together to give you a breathtaking dramatic look. You can dip your makeup brush into water and then into the eye shadow, it makes for an amazing liner!

How you mix and match the colors is totally up to you. You can use complimentary colors that totally blend in together or use contrasting colors to bring out your eyes! The eye shadows are very pigmented, and are very long lasting. They last quite awhile just by themselves, but if you use a primer underneath- they last 10x longer!

I get a great deal of compliments when I’m wearing the Forever Pure Beauty Mineral Eye shadows, it doesn’t matter which combination I use either. If you know which colors will look good with your skin/eye color or how to correctly layer your eye shadow, they’ll always bring out the color in your eyes!

I love how easily these mineral shadows go on without creating a giant mess. Usually I have a problem with mineral eye They cling pretty strongly to the brush and don’t come off until it touches your skin! Even if I mess up and have to re-do my eye shadow I can easily wipe these off with an Aveeno Wet Face-wipe cleaner.

Cream Eyeliner

I also received the Forever Pure Beauty Cream Liner in Black. Made from pure mineral pigments, plant waxes, natural butters and botanicals, it glides on without any problems and stays all day! It is great for  lining, defining or smudging!

It works amazing with all my liner brushes. The slanted one that you see in the picture above is my favorite. It gives the perfect lined look that not even a pencil can give most of the time! It also works amazing with the thin makeup brushes for lining under your eyes!

Crayola Dry-Erase Activity Center- Put Fun Back into Learning! <Review>

Crayola has always been a huge part of my life. When I was in school I loved getting fresh new giant boxes of Crayola crayons. I loved that there were so many amazing colors to choose from, and a blank paper had the potential to be made into so many things. I’m pretty sure Crayola started my craft obsession.

I wanted to pass this onto my kids. No matter what brand of crayons you buy- they WILL never compare to Crayola! So, when I got a chance to review the Crayola Dry-Erase Activity Center- I was all over it. My kids love to color, write, and draw. Now that they are both in school, I was looking for something that we could use again and again for practicing.

The activity center is eco-friendly because it doesn’t require any paper. It has a clear writing/drawing surface that works with any dry-erase product; dry-erase markers, dry-erase crayons, and even dry-erase colored pencils. SO it saves paper from being thrown away, just let them write their heart out and then erase it and let them start all over!

My daughter started preschool this year and is learning all the essentials; alphabet, her name, shapes, and numbers. I was glad that the Activity center had more than 25 games and activities that we could use on a daily basis to help her learn!

It’s an activity center that comes with 4 dry erase markers (red, black, blue, and green), an eraser, and 5 front/back cards. The cards help with alphabet, numbers and counting, words and stories, and building their imagination as well.

When you open the Dry Erase Activity Center box inside is a little pamphlet that helps you show your kids even MORE ways to have fun with the center. It shows you little learning games that make it even better. If you go on the Crayola website, they even have hundreds of Dry-Erase activity sheets here that you can add to the collection!

Just the short amount of time that we’ve had it has already made a big difference. She has been doing so well with learning how to spell her name, her alphabet, AND shapes. We are solely focusing on those for right now. I don’t want to throw too much at her at one time. I want her to fully comprehend what she’s learning before we move on to something else.

I love the fact that they added in a blank page. This has the potential for so many different things. You can write directly on the dry-erase sheet and insert it under the clear plastic pane so they can trace it! This is what has been helping her with her shapes and name the most!

The grid sheet can be used for many things. Lower or upper case alphabet, numbers, or even greater and less than. You can have them color 5 blocks on one line black for instance and then 7 blocks on another line green and tell you which is greater.

It is extremely durable, it has withstood being dropped on our floor a couple of times and didn’t even crack. I love the fact that we can re-use it time and time again. We didn’t have to buy the pre-printed school paper for her to learn! Just in the short time we’ve had this, my daughter has already made tremendous progress learning her letters and name!

My son loves to use it to draw on. He has been getting pretty detailed and awesome at drawing. He has been practicing drawing trucks, helicopters, cars, and rocket ships! It’s been awesome to see them play with something longer than 20 minutes. They will draw, write, and color for hours! This would be awesome to take on a long road trip to keep them occupied, of course I have to buy another one so both kids can have one!
