about her business- (From TweePoppets) where she is having a giveaway--!

“I started my business bc I really wanted this expensive sewing machine and my hubby said I needed to find a way to make it pay for itself...in 2 months it had! I've been sewing since I was little sewing clothes for my barbies and in high school sewing my prom dress! As an adult I always made all my own baby gifts so I thought why not sell them! Monogramming can be so expensive and I wanted to find a way to make it affordable. By not having a shop front and doing it out of my home I keep overhead costs super low. I started off with an etsy shop and when that became successful I bought a dot com and opened up my own online store!”

My Day Today & Tutorials, Tutorials, and more tutorials..

I have had a pretty awesome day today. Went to the grocery store. {now I can drink all the coffee I want $

and we took the kids to the park. I didn’t get any pictures because I am lazy and haven’t charged my camera after it died on the 4th. I have so much to do, but Adisyn always tries to steal my pencils {and I can never get them back} and grab the scissors , so I definitely can’t sew or write when she’s awake.

So I decided after relaxing at the park with the kids and cooking out {Yay- no dishes to wash} #

I decided to show a little love and feature some tutorials. I can’t get enough of them. I sleep, eat, and drink crafting and writing and reading and somehow now blogging. I am always thinking of things to say and ways to write things (which is GREAT) because I feel as if I am getting better at writing and my voice in the writing.

I love showing off other people’s work, because not only does it give me ideas, it lets the makers of these tutorials KNOW we appreciate them and their work and thank them for the time and commitment they give into sharing their ideas with us.

I am going to be making a button here soon for people that I feature and I will be sure to post it on here and email it to the people I have showcased already.

If you would like me to show off something you made, just let me know.

I love you guys♥

Craftaholic Anonymous has this awesome 4th of July Jello that she shows us how to make. It looks so yummy. {This is the reason the post was started anyway}..

Friday Flip-Off

This was created by Gigi @ KludgyMom

& so I thank her for giving us this chance to unload the hectic sometimes stressful situations that come forth in the week,

Wow. It’s Friday. I can’t believe how much time has past without me knowing it. Sure I have a calender, but god- A week?

I have had so much to do this week, and hope you guys will stay to follow & join in on the excitement to come.

I am working hard to bring you the best!

But anywho- back to the Friday Flip-off.

to the guys who get in front of me driving one of these

who like to blow that black smoke {when I have my windows down} FLIP OFF. How dare you cause so much pollution and directly AT me and the other people behind you.

To the parents who have kids and not take care of them.

I am a younger mom, and see some other young moms leaving the babies grandparents to practically raise them, while their out “having fun” or just hanging out. So FLIP OFF. Grow up. Get a head on your shoulders. You didn’t listen and take precaution or whatever  your story, but it isn’t hard to want to be there with them. {Janelle 16 & Pregnant is an example}

Take care of your responsibilities. I believe that a mom should take care of her kid(s) as best as she can. At least sacrificing her “friend time” for her kids. or find a way to add in both.

FLIP OFF to my house, for not cleaning itself, therefore, requiring me to do it, while trying to keep 2 kids out of everything under the sun.

Why can’t you look like this person’s house?

so organized, where you don’t have to search in 3 different notebooks, 2 binders, and 2 stacks of  unfiled papers just to find something?

I would appreciate if you would help just a little. At least scrub the tub for me, won’t ya?

That’s about everything I have to FLIP OFF, other than being busy- I have had a  great week.

The Fourth of July is close, what are your plans?

Following Friday

Picnic Basket Crafts {Moisturizer Review}

Tiffany Norton of Picnic Basket Crafts gave me the chance to review her natural spray deodorant a couple of weeks ago, you may remember from {here}..I thought it was a very awesome product and was glad to test another.

You can find her blog {here}

About Tiffany

Picnic Basket Crafts

“I'm a mom to 2 beautiful boys, wife to a wonderful husband, and teacher to the best 7th graders in the world. I shouldn't even have time for a hobby, much less a small business, but there you have it. I keep myself pretty busy when I'm not at work or commuting halfway across the state of Colorado. These days I like to ski/snowboard and craft all kinds of geeky little goodies. Sleeping is a close third on my list. But as soon as I get woken up in the morning, my "to do" is cued up and ready to go, and I just can't get back to sleep... I hate it when that happens!”

She makes all natural products and I love them. I especially love doing business with her. She is nice, prompt, and keeps her promises. She has high quality products that she didn’t charge much for at all. & she ships really fast and emails you back with any questions.

The moisturizer was a 5% Zinc Oxide Facial Moisturizer for Acne-prone skin.

As soon as I put it on, I fell in love. It wasn’t very thick,  just thick enough to go on your face with out over doing it. It provided a cool effect on my skin, like you could just feel it helping and replenishing it. The smell was like noxema if you have ever tried it, I actually like the smell. I think it smells like “rejuvenation.” and “clean.”

'It also helps protect from the harmful rays of the sun coming with SPF 12-19. Who could ask more from a moisturizer? Not me..

I choose this..

& you should give it a try.

“I make and sell breakfast burritos sometimes at school. I just make them the way I like them. Turns out, everyone else likes them just like I do. I'm always surprised, but people tell me all the time my breakfast burritos are the best they've ever had. Same thing with my lip balm. You might think lip balm is just lip balm. Who really knows the difference between brands?”

“It doesn't get any fresher than this - I will make this lotion when you order it! I've got more essential oils and fragrance oils than it should be legal to possess, so you can pretty much name your fancy. I probably have it!”

{She has in no way paid me to market this product for her. She let me test her products and I love them so much I have to pass them on}

You don’t want to miss out do ya?

I don’t want ya to either

Have a nice night

We’ll see what tomorrow brings

Youthful Trends {Review & discount}

I have recently had the awesome experience of reviewing Youthful Trends Caffeinated Make-up Primer.

With the hot weather and the humidity, I was glad I had this.

I usually have a problem with my make-up sweating off in the summer, so I don’t usually wear it. I hate the icky feeling that comes from sweat mixed with foundation. {It works with powder & liquid foundations}

After the shower, I applied some of this to my face {it comes in a spray bottle} so I just barely sprayed it on my forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose and then took a clean make-up applicator sponge to rub it in. I let it dry for a second and then put on the foundation..

& later on when I started to sweat..

I noticed the make-up was still THERE. It wasn’t smudged, it wasn’t smearing, it still looked as if I had just applied it. So, I guess that means, you won’t have to see my lack of skin sun bare anymore {yay you}

It reduces sweating, extends make-up, Tones, & hydrates..

You can also apply this at night for added and total rejuvenation..

About the Make-up Primer:

“Youthful Trends Makeup Primer is the world's first caffeinated primer with 100% natural ingredients. Makeup primers are all the rage these days, and they are used to help set your makeup and reduce the appearance of lines while absorbing oils and binding makeup to the skin.”

“Unlike sticky primers and serums, this water based spray dries evenly while hydrating skin and tightening lines. Our spray also helps pores breathe and keeps makeup looking beautiful all day long. It also reduces facial sweating and protects skin from UV damage. “

“This proprietary formula outperforms all other makeup primers and one bottle lasts for many months. It's fantastic stuff works for all skin types and colors, as well as all types of makeup including mineral powders, creams and liquids. Supercharge your makeup regimen today for flawless beauty with the world's first caffeinated skin primer.”

It is the most amazing product. You can use as as a make-up extender/sweat decrease/moisturizer. How about that?

There are some other products I have come to wish I had..

{check em out}

ThermaSkin Bug Blocker™ roll-on features a proprietary formulation of proven essential oils with capsaicin to repel a variety of common insects including mosquitoes, gnats, horseflies, black flies, fleas and ticks. Blog Award & My Nominee’s

I got another blog award today, this time from the amazing crafty pirate, Thera Joyce.

She knows I love her blog and her affinity for pirates and skulls. Just as I have an affinity for lime green and peace signs. =)

I just love it. and I thank her so much. It has meant so much to me, to see people coming over and commenting. Thanks for being a friend.

Versatile=having or capable of many uses.

{this will go up on my bloa ASAP}

4 Rules go along with this award:

Rule 1: Thank the person that gave you the award.

Thank you Thera.

Rule 2: Share 7 things about yourself.
1. I am a nerd. I read constantly. I am like a learning addict.

2. I also have a hard time making friends. It's not because I'm not a nice person, I’m just wierd sometimes. I am just akward at times. I really am. I get all high speed brain and stuff just flies out with no intention and I think to myself “that sounded so dumb”. People in school were afraid to approach me because they thought I DIDN’T like them. I wish I would’ve known then.

3. I NEVER get anytime to myself. My two kids are like getting away from me phobia. I can’t even go into the bathroom for 2 seconds before I have kids screaming at the door. {THAT’S why I always have patches of hair I missed when I shave} So if you ever see me, don’t laugh. I try, I swear =)

4.I have wanted to start a craft business for as long as I can remember. I knew that I loved when people adored or praised something I made. I knew I had the fashion sense and love of crafting to be able to be a designer.

5. I am {at the moment} teaching myself how to make layouts, headers, and graphics- so watch out for some freebies..

6. I have the yard sales, flea markets, and consignment shops fetish and I spend forever looking at everything imagining how to repurpose something to fit my love for decoupage. ♥

7. I am a very unique person. I love listening to everything. I listen to loretta lynn, conway, and hank jr on  somedays. I listen to flyleaf, godsmack, and metallica on others. I have a thing for 3 doors down. I love rock music, it is my favorite in the world =)

Nominate 15 blogs for this award.

1. Cluck, Cluck, Sew

2. You Sew, Girl!

3. Oh So Happy Together

4. amazing mae

5. And So, I Sew

6. A Little Tipsy

7. Litany of Brittainy

8. Cre8ive Crea8tions

10.My Frugal Family

11. Pink Penguin

12. The adventures of Miss V

13. The Black Apple

14. Soule Mama

15. The Idea Room
Rule 4: Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

I’ll be doing that as soon as this posts..

♥Jess

p.s. Thanks for the blog award☺

My DIY fused plastic bag make-up case and a visit from my Adi-bug.

I don’t know if you guys know about fusing plastic bags, but I made my first one last week.

  • I wanted to try it because it reuses all those plastic bags that are otherwise going to the landfill where they will rot & rot.
  • How long does it take for plastic bag to decompose? Like 500-1000 years, so RE-use them my friends.

You can learn how- {here} in a video from Etsy

or written {here}

I made this like a week ago, but haven’t yet got to post pictures or anything.

I loved making it, and SO plan to make more.

Have fun & save the planet at the same time, how about that.

If you make it, don’t forget to post some pictures for us to see =)

You might just be featured.
