How to use Instant Spray Tan in a Can

Since Bahama Bronze instant spray tan is an aerosol tan in a can, you simply point it at your skin and spray on in smooth even strokes. However, there are a few other things to remember while applying:

• Use the instant spray tan in a tub, shower, outdoor area or anywhere with any easy to clean floor. It's possible to stain any nearby flooring with overspray so be careful.
• Shake the can well before use. This will help clear up any clumps that may have formed in the can or in the spray nozzle
• Hold the can 10 - 14 inches from your skin and apply in smooth even strokes
• Dab off any excess spots or clumps before it dries
• Do NOT apply lotions, oils, deodorants, makeup, or perfume prior to spray tanning.
• If solution gets on the palms of your hands or soles of your feet immediately wash off with soap and water.
• Do not shower for 6 hours after application.
• Remember that Bahama Bronze instant spray tan is not to be used internally so when applying to the face hold your breath, close your mouth, and shut your eyes.

How does an aerosol tanning spray work?

Bahama Bronze's aerosol tanning spray formula is extremley similar to the formulas used in professional airbrush tanning salons and misting machines. The active ingredient across the board for all of these tanning formulas including Bahama Bronze is DHA (Dihydroxyacetone). DHA causes a reaction with the amino acids in your skin that creates a deep, bronze tan...except without any possibility of getting burned! The result is a perfect tan with no orange tones and no streaks.

While you'll be tan immediately after using our aerosol tanning spray, your tan will gradually darken and set in over the next 12-24 hours following application. My Thoughts*

I was excited to try the Bahama Bronze Spray Tan in a Can. I thought it was going to be like a real spray tan. It seemed simple enough. Almost as soon as it came in the mail, I read the directions and was thinking of applying it right away.

When I read that it had to be applied either in the shower, or outdoors- I had to end up waiting for the application. I didn’t really know what to do about applying it, so I just stood in the shower and sprayed it on myself.

It was kind of like spraying a bubbling mousse on my skin. I’m pretty sure the nozzle is the problem. It lets out too much of the spray, resulting in a HUGE mess, and splatters everywhere. The product ends up not even sticking to my skin. I tried to rub it in with my hands, but I ended up just making it 10x worse.

Then I searched on the internet for ways I could help make it stay without it smearing. It said to apply and then blow-dry your skin in patches with the cool setting.

I did this, and it did make a huge difference. I brought the blow-dryer in the bathroom. Sprayed an arm- blow-dried it on cool and it stayed. Same for the rest of my body. BUT this did end up taking forever.. So, I can’t say it was a time saver.

It didn’t streak up once it was blow-dried though, so that was a huge plus. It didn’t look a deeper bronze on elbows, knees, or ankles either. Most bronzers do- no matter what you do or how lightly it’s applied. Most of the time it’s just simply inevitable.

I did like this, but I wish it would have worked like a real spray tan. I don’t think I would buy this though, because it took too much time to blow-dry each part of my body that I just added spray bronze too. This meant that I had to spray and then blow dry- spray and then blow-dry.

Since I was old enough to know about the different types of hair, I wished for hair full of volume. Since I never got my wish, I began my search for a product that could MAKE my hair look thicker.

This is a modern volume shampoo, thickening hair while removing residue build up from styling products. When residue isn’t cleansed from the hair, it can result in dandruff or other scalp issues.

This doesn’t fade colored hair, and doesn’t strip it of its’ natural oils. Shielo is at the top of their game when it comes to hair care. They know EXACTLY what they’re doing.

The shampoo contains nanofilaments to dive deep into the hair shaft to increase volume straight from the root! GENIUS?, I think SO!

Thin and weak hair is re-strengthened, given structural support, conditioned, and replenished by soy protein and hyaluronic acid.

You use this like any other shampoo- except you leave it in for a minute or two before rinsing. Leaving it in gives the hair follicles time to soak up all the yummy greatness in this amazing shampoo.

The bottle has an easy to use pop top cap. I love that they put symbols on their products as well- it makes the bottles look sophisticated and classy.

Like all Shielo products, it smells simply amazing! It doesn’t have a strong overwhelming smell. In the volume department it was absolutely stunning. I used this without any conditioner involved at all, and it was just as moisturizing as it was volumizing.

I blow-dried my hair after using this, and it was like using a root lifter as well as a volumizer. My hair in no way stuck to my scalp like it usually does (which I usually use a root lifter for this) but I didn’t have to when using this!

If you’ve never used a Shielo product before, you are DEFINITELY missing out. If you aren’t looking to volumize your hair- they also have a moisturizing shampoo & conditioner line, as well as some amazing styling products!

Susan Brown’s Baby All Natural Dead Sea Salt Foot Soak & Foot Therapy Cream

If you are a mom or a mom-to-be, you know what foot pain is all about. When your pregnant- your feet and ankles swell so badly that you feel the need to prop them up at all times. If you are already a mother, chasing kids is what makes the pain so bad.

Put the Dead Sea Salt soak into the bucket before your feet. Mix it up a little, and then put your feet in and relax for 10-15 minutes.

The relaxing part isn’t hard to do with this foot soak. It has a peppermint smell, which is very invigorating and relaxing. I could immediately feel myself releasing all the stress from the day. My feet practically broke out in applause!

When you’re done soaking your feet in the heavenly mixture, bring your feet out of the bucket and place them on a dry towel. Wrap the towel around your feet for just a second to absorb the excess moisture, and then pat them dry.

Take each foot and apply the foot therapy lotion. Use as much as you need/want, it is a very luxurious cream that instantly softens and rehydrates the foot skin. Massage this into your skin to give your feet extra relaxation and to give it time to soak into your feet.

My “Me” time is very rare. Usually I have to wait until the kids go to sleep- which can sometimes be pretty late. Thank goodness Aidan started school and I have them on a routine of heading to bed at 8:00. So at about 8:20, I can start the foot soak and unwind.

Avitalin Skin Care Review: Cell Renewal Night Complex

 

Avitalin Cell Renewal Night Complex is a very unique night cream. This is unlike any other night cream that I’ve ever used. WHY? Because it contains Deer Velvet Extract. Deer Velvet Extract is a very unique extract that is used to support the skin cells regeneration and skin vitality.

I have been using this amazing cream for 3-4 weeks now, and can tell a huge difference in the elasticity and texture of my skin. The first week there weren’t any results at all, which is what I expected. To be able to see results in any skin care regimen, you need to continue to use it to see results. Within the second week- my skin looked 10x healthier than what it did! My skin was well hydrated, which makes it look glowing. My face and neck seemed to bask in the glory of this cream.

It contains DMAE which helps to firm skin up and reduce the sagging. Although I don’t have saggy skin, it doesn’t hurt to try and tag it before it begins. I don’t want to get to the age of saggy skin and wish I had done something about it before. My skin is firm, but I still seen some progress in the tightness I seen. I really loved that my skin felt renewed and regenerated. This seemed to create an almost instant plumping effect, which was awesome.

My skin is SO smooth and soft because of this cream. It comes in a little tub with a screw on lid, so it’s easy to just dip your finger in and get as much as you need out. You don’t need very much though. It isn’t THICK but it is very great at spreading easily. I only needed about a nickel size amount to get my entire face and neck. This is hydrating, but yet not greasy or oily in the least bit. I use this with a 3 berry serum from MadeFromEarth, and it still doesn’t make my pillow damp, even if I go right to bed after putting it on.

It has a light pleasant scent, so it isn’t too strong. The ingredients include a ton of nourishing oils (e.g, jojoba, olive, palm, rose hip) and extracts (rooibus tea, green tea, calendula, willowbark - all are conditioning extracts, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory), sodium hyaluronate, and vitamin antioxidants. So it isn’t a huge list of ingredients that are hard to pronounce or have never heard of and can’t pronounce.

I am happy with the results that I’ve gotten in such a short amount of time. I would definitely buy this for myself. It feels so silky and soaks right into my skin without a problem. I’d even go so far as to say that I’d even use this as a day moisturizer because it isn’t heavy at all.

I would love to have a bottle of this for the winter, when my face and neck skin can become dry and difficult to put makeup on. I can see this helping to keep makeup on in the morning because it helpfully nourishes skin. If you’ve ever had dry skin on your face, you know what I’m talking about when I say that the makeup balls up and comes off a little too easily for me. SO- if I used this at night to renew the cells and rid of the damaged, dry, chapped skin- it could definitely work for me!

The price for this is right on the money. It is a very high quality product with a ton of natural oils and extracts in it. I love how nourishing this is to my skin. The extracts were definitely researched for their ability to heal damaged skin. My skin has definitely benefited from using this!

The Caudalie Paris “Thé des Vignes”  is an amazing perfume, I LOVE the way it smells. It is so captivating and sensual smelling. You can smell the white musk in it, but it isn’t really strong because it has hints of ginger and honey. It also has orange blossom and jasmine in it as well. So all these combinations mix together to make the most romantic and sweet smelling perfume that I’ve ever had the joy of trying!

It is inspiring and beautifully put together, giving off such a delicate fresh smell. It is subtle yet flirty and fun. The bottle is absolutely STUNNING. As you can tell from the inset picture, it starts at the bottom with a deep pink almost purple coloring. As the bottle gets taller, the color gets lighter.

The bottle is travel friendly. It is small, but yet not petite. I bet I could use this perfume daily and have enough to last half the year or more. It is a circular bottle, so it can either lay flat in the bottom of your purse or be put inside a pocket so you can take it with you.

I have other perfumes in my collection (Some that I absolutely adored).. (EX. Amber Romance from Victoria’s Secret, Davidoff Coolwater, and Lucky) but I find myself always reaching for this one. It has such a unique scent unlike any other perfume on the market.

The musk is a brilliant undertone foundation for this perfume. Adding the layers of floral just added to the seduction of the perfume. Although this isn’t going to cost you an arm and a leg like some perfumes do, it has an even better quality than most of the high dollar perfumes.

I am really REALLY loving this. I find myself lost in the sweet somber scent of this intriguing scent. I praise the owner for thinking of this beautiful scent. I can honestly see this becoming my “to-go-to scent”. Basically, it already has.

It was a great hit at a garage sale we threw at my moms. I swear it was 103* outside and I was basically sweating buckets, yet I kept getting compliments on how great I smelled. So- obviously even though I had about a gallon of sweat on me,

The other perfumes on my vanity have become very lonely, because they have been left out! I know I shouldn’t hurt their little perfumy hearts, but I can’t help it. When I like something, I use it and use it, until it’s gone. Kind of like listening to the same song on repeat.. LOL.

I am hoping that the company NEVER EVER discontinues this perfume. I know companies bring new products in from time to time and some get the old switcheroo.. please don’t let this be one of them!

Balmers’ Monkey Balm Review

Monkey Balm is organic, all natural, and cruelty free.

I have a skin disease called “Keratosis Pilaris” which is nicknamed chicken skin for a reason. My thighs can get pretty dried out and wearing jeans (the jeans rubbing against my thighs) bring out these tiny red bumps everywhere. They kind of look like tons of ingrown hairs (which is what I thought it was forever!)

The bottle it comes in reminds me of a giant chap/lip stick tube. It is easy to roll out (winding the bottle up causing it to peek out a little more) and extremely easy to apply. It’s very creamy and moisturizing. It lasts longer on the skin than any other “cream”, “lotion”, OR “balm.”

Sea Buckthorn oil has been used for centuries because of its healing properties. It contains Omega 3, 6, 9 and the very rare omega 7. Omega 7 is vital in rebuilding healthy skin cells.

I am extremely glad to report that this has made a big difference in my leg appearance. I don’t know how many times I have wanted so badly to break out my shorts, but DON’T because of the embarrassment. I was supposed to let my legs air out, and only felt comfortable doing so in my own home.

There have been other products that have worked for me, but not so quickly and not as cheap either. I was prescribed Retinol A cream by my doctor a year ago and it ended up being a very small tube for $80. I was like “WHAT?”

Beautifying My Office Space!

Adam and I are planning on breaking out the house plans very soon.. HOPEFULLY. Crossing my fingers. SO- I’ve broken out my office wish list. I am a HUGE storage fans. I’m pretty sure that I think to myself the more storage items I have, the more items I can buy =) Shh.. don’t tell.

When we were packing up to move this year, I really REALLY seen how much I actually had. I have more than 500 books, 100 binders, and so much fabric and yarn that I can’t count.

I can’t wait to be able to have all my stuff spread out- whether in a storage box, shelf, or organizing tier. As long as I can get to it! Right now almost everything is in a storage, while we live in a smaller temporary home while we save up money to build.

I love the cube storage (1), I could put my fabric swatches underneath these and still be able to see what swatch I’m grabbing. I wouldn’t have to dig forever, like I would if they were in a drawer. Plus they are SO modern and beautiful.

I like the Console table because I could use it to stack my files and home phone on. That way I have instant access to my files, AND phone in case a customer calls and I need to find something right away. Of course I would put the files in the Rust Paisley Box Collection (6).

Number (3) would be my yarn storage. It would be amazing to be able to sort the yarn from lightest to darkest. Having color right out in the open is VERY great for decorating anyway! Gives spice to the room =)

Number (4) would be craft storage. I could use the 2 pull out bins to put buttons, ribbons, irons, embroidered items, and more. The 4 smaller open bins would be to store different items that I already made. Bags in one, bookmarks and kindle/ereader bags in another, headbands and hats in another, and of course- I couldn’t leave out totes.

Number (5) is obvious. Who in their right minds wouldn’t want this chair? I have been using the same computer chair for about 5 years now, and it has NO arms. My back aches all the time because the chair doesn’t fit to my body. There is no way to reposition it to, either. This computer chair isn’t just for comfort= look how beautiful it is!

I plan to have a huge office- one entire wall for my books, binders, and files. That way I have easy access to my information when I need it. I have been having to store them in boxes even before we moved. I lived in a 3 bedroom apartment and had no real room for an “office”.

I also want a wall for my “craft” supplies. Sewing machine, fabric, thread, yarn, and other item storage. World Market has it all. This place has me daydreaming up a storm! I am SO in love!! I wish I could have just about everything on the site. They have such a beautiful selection of everything, no matter what you’re looking for.

My office is going to be fantastic, I can already imagine it in my head. I’m already getting excited and we haven’t even started to build yet.. lol.

Personal Microdermabrasion Review

Personal Microdermabrasion Kit at home- This is the best thing EVER! This is the most effective way of removing dead skin cells. It is better than having to pay a dermatologist the same amount for EVERY single visit!

The PMD buffs the dead skin away leaving nothing but beautiful, smooth skin. It comes with different heads. The blue is for sensitive skin and the green is for those tougher spots. The smaller heads are for your face and the bigger heads are for using on your body.

You are supposed to use this on clean skin, so it’s best to use this right out of the shower or bath. Wait until you dry off, and then get to work!

and then put the microdermabrasion up to your face. It feels kind of funny at first. Like a tiny vacuum suctioning your face. Then you glide it across your face in an upward motion.

Make sure that you follow the natural lines of your face. Start with your forehead- working your way to the cheeks, and down to the chin. You use upward, outward motions.

This is a really cool at home treatment, and you see results almost immediately. Within the first couple of uses, my skin was showing a much greater softness, clearer pores, and looked healthier.

This greatly reduces fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, and hyperpigmentation. I have been using this once a week, it IS an intense treatment- and only needs to be used once a week.

I really really loved this because of my Keratosis Pilaris (chicken skin) and the only thing that will help with this is Vitamin A Retinol Creams and microdermabrasion. Being a mother of 2 small kids, I can’t afford to pay $100 a visit just for something that makes me feel uncomfortable in shorts.

Splat Hair Color Review

I absolutely LOVE Splat hair color. This is the first time that I’ve used it, and I am most definitely HOOKED.

I dyed my hair 2 months ago a deep brown with a hint of red- which I LOVE! But I also wanted to do a black lowlight look. The other name brand colors I seen didn’t have a deep enough black for me, so I definitely wanted to try Splat Jet Black.

In the box, was the bottle with a tip on it, the gloves, instructions, and the bottle with the mixture. Because it is a darker color- it didn’t have bleach with it, like the other splat kits do.

Before mastering the dye- make sure that your hair is shampooed, yet not conditioned. If your hair is oily- the color will not soak in as well. I would also get an old towel and stand on it as well as putting one under your hair around your neck.

I was in my mom’s bathroom- taking strips of hair and applying the color. I wanted to make sure that there was enough black, yet not too much. I didn’t want it to look like there were just missed spots on my head. (I’ve actually had that happen before) LOL.

Because I was doing lowlights, I ended up getting it in her floor, and on the sink. I immediately cleaned it up. I figured it would stain anyway because of the color. It didn’t. As long as I kept wiping it up as it landed on the floor- it came right up.! AMAZED*

The color is like any other dye- the longer you leave it in, the more intense it will be. I ended up leaving it in for about 25 minutes, so I still had time to go get my son. Don’t ask me why I started doing it so late in the day. It arrived and I was absolutely ANXIOUS to use it!

I was super glad I did.! While I was in the pickup line waiting to pick Aidan up from school. I could see my hair drying and see the beautiful intensity of the color. I was in LOVE with this color.

See how the black stands out from the deep brown? I love it like that. It makes my hair look so amazing. I will definitely stick to this hair dye in the future.

I also wanted to do a crimson red highlight- but I was absolutely positive that my hair wouldn’t take to the bleach that comes with it. I have always had bad reactions to lighter dye! Can you say “Orange hair?” Definitely wasn’t pretty.

So instead I chose to do the pink extensions instead. These extensions are amazing! I could have cut it to any length I wanted, although I didn’t have to because it was exactly the length I needed it to be.

Each extension box comes with 2 18 inch extensions. They are totally reusable. I wasn’t sure how to do an extension at first- because I had never had used one before.

All I had to do was flip the part in my hair on the left side and clip it in, and then on the right side as well. It blends right in. I can also curl this (with medium heat) just like my real hair! (Don’t use too high heat though- it will scorch).

I am just glad that it doesn’t separate and get all scraggly like other hair extensions and hair clip-in’s I’ve seen. You know what I’m talking about. When there are like 5 hairs way longer than the others, just because you brushed it.. yeah- I hate that!

This isn’t anything like that! I really love that they are high quality! Plus the pink totally offsets the dark making it look awesome!

I have had so many compliments on my hair, and it makes me feel amazing!
